Dollar General

Neat clean and friendly general store. The people here always say hello. Went in for a cold drink and was surprised at how low the prices were. 2 / 3.50 for monster energy cans. (I know I know they're bad for me). But this is the cheapest I've ever seen them.

I went grocery shopping here and took home with me some rotten potatoes, a hard of pickled veggies with MOLD ON THE RIM when opened and also when buying my trash bags, all of the boxes were damaged and the bags were falling out of them when you picked them up. This place is awful and not well kept, I'm infuriated that I had to throw away half the stuff I bought and I spent $75 there. I think i deserve my money back but whatever. I don't recommend shopping here. EVER.

This is my local Dollar General and I love it! The prices are always great and they have everything you need from clothing, home goods to food, candy even wine and beer. They even have a frozen section and this is where I usually buy the creamer for my coffee. Oh and they also have coffee! They have lots of beauty aids/shampoo and plenty of toilet paper, paper towels and bathroom tissue and Kleenex. They have a large selection of paper plates and plastic cutlery as well. The staff is always nice and friendly. I don't understand how anyone could give them bad reviews. If you're looking for low prices on most of the items you normally purchase Dollar General is the place to shop!

Very unprofessional. Not clean and it's gross seeing the employees smoke outside. I came in one night just to grab a gallon on milk but the lines were so long because the cashier was telling her life story to a customer. Also, the profanity is ridiculous. This was coming from the cashier. I wish Vons was still in oildale.

Don't use this Dollar General unless it's a last resort. The store Manager Melissa is an awful person. I asked for help finding an item and she told me it isn't her job to find things for customers. Later I found it right next to where she was standing when she blew me off. Horrible person. Use the $ General on Roberts Lane. That manager is great

I've been going to this store since it's opened, I'm in there often but even being a regular doesn't mean anything. There is only one polite staff member, she's brunette, wears no makeup meanwhile everyone else can even greet you with a hello when you reach the counter. The young pale one who wears a lot of make up is incredibly rude and impatient. She is causes me to not want to shop there anymore. She makes me look forward to automated services taking over jobs like hers in the future.Also no one wears masks in that store, there was an outbreak between workers at the 99 cents store near by, its very irresponsible of them not to take COVID seriously.

Great store. Has just about everything except for what we needed. Very friendly and polite employees who greeted us as we walked in the door.

Went in for some quick shopping on 12/10/19 between 8:00am-8:20am, lady with the glasses was rude, not engaged and blowing me off, not really paying attention to my order as I see the wrong price pop up on the scanner. I told her that I was only purchasing these because of the daily dollar deal due to a ($1) sign being right under it and she said that she stocked them herself and she doesn't know what to tell me and I expressed that I am just going off the price sign that's right under it and it was not wrong because it was the bottom shelf, last one on the left, so no chance for confusion. I just asked her nicely to take them off. She then answered her personal cell phone, ignoring me, talking about an employee she hired and how they are dropping her percentages to 90%. She was more focused on the phone call and I attempted to pay 3 times. I did not want to ask for the manager because I assumed SHE WAS the manager and that is really embarrassing behavior for management.

Rude employee's telling me who I can't call I'll call who I want my right as an American citizen plus you weren't open you didn't explain why takes five seconds place up a sign giving a reason you're closed.

Went in store to buy cigars good price , my i.d. was expired me bad went back today had Californua Dmv interim lic that Dmv stappeled to my old lic manager wouldn't even look at it not acceptable to her by the way i am 52 years old , plus store is dirty & nasty with broken glass on door that has been that way for over a week . Even customers were like you need to i.d. this guy .sorry attitude by manager !
