Delicious Burgers

I'm reviewing this place again because it's so great. You would drive right past it if you weren't looking for it on Sierra Highway. My coworkers and I go here all the time for lunch. The food is always good and the prices are always reasonable. My husband has discovered the green posole (they only serve it- along with menudo- on Saturday and Sunday mornings), and he is hooked. Maria owns the place and her husband is the cook. It's just them two who run the whole operation, and they are so good to everyone who comes in. We love it here!

Food was mediocre, I got a cheeseburger and french fries. The burger was OK but not the best burger in town. However, the service was great.

HOOOOW are there only a few reviews of this place? I work down the street so I've eaten here maybe a dozen times. I haven't had ONE. BAD. MEAL. It started with breakfast burritos, lunch burritos, sandwiches, dinner plates. SERIOUSLY, you can't go wrong with any meal. Fried chicken? BOMB. BLT? BOMB. Stop here and have a meal!!!

Best Pasole in town!! Only open for breakfast and lunch but anything ordered is worthy of taste Don't forget to tip the cook...we never see him/her but we know he/she is in there making magic

I went in here 1 time on a hot day for water. They charge for the styrofoam cups they give you water in. They won't let you use their plastic dining cups for water. You can't provide your own cup for water. I asked if I can get tap water from the bathroom and they wouldn't let me. The 1 day I don't have cash in my pocket. This place is that stingey they can't give even 1 cup of tap water without charging something. I dine out a minimum of 15 times a month and I'm a big tipper. I guarantee this place will never get business from me for that. It's rediculous

I hate to do this because I have eaten here many times and I love to patronize and promote small businesses... and I would LOVE to leave a GREAT review. But I came here a few about a year+ ago to place an order to go, and said that I wanted the fish salad with FRIED fish instead of "BLACKENED." (The menu item clearly states that they sell a fish salad with "BLACKENED" fish) but I wanted it "FRIED!" I have ordered this here MANY times in the past and it's NEVER been a problem! They have ALWAYS accommodated this super simple request!(And I can't even imagine WHY it ever would be a problem! I would have even paid EXTRA If she wanted to be that petty!) It was not some new person or waitress that I was speaking to, but the actual OWNER! ‍She stated rather adamantly that getting my fish salad with FRIED fish instead of "blackened" was NOT an option. Again, I have given this place my business MANY times and that has been my main go-to order. I was not going to stand there and belabor or argue the point. I simply stated that I ALWAYS got FRIED catfish instead of "blackened" but she would not budge. So I just ordered a combo plate with fried catfish and shrimp. The food was good as always, but this stubborn attitude from the OWNER ‍ left a very bad taste in my mouth, and I have not been there since. I may NEVER return EVER again over this. I don't think that it is fair to other customers for me to NOT leave a review about my negative experience here because the principal and what this says about how an owner feels about the customers who keep her in business is palpable. This shows a very poor, cavalier and unforgivable attitude for an owner to have towards a paying customer.I do not believe that the customer is "ALWAYS" necessarily right. But regardless of what the menu says, all you have to do is fry up some catfish and put it in my salad instead of the broiled fish! None Of the waiters or waitresses in the past have EVER had a problem with this. They have always been accommodating, and I tip well. Also, this place has raised their prices dramatically, and of course they're going to use the Covid pandemic as their excuse. It also turned me off that when I asked for extra tartar sauce. she had to charge me extra for it. This has never happened in the past with any of the wait staff when I have dined in.Although the FOOD is good... I have NO complaints about THAT ...but I simply can NOT continue to patronize an establishment or recommend it when the OWNER demonstrates such an indifferent and cavalier attitude towards a (once) loyal paying customer!(BTW ...I have had almost EVERYTHING on the menu ...NO complaints about the FOOD ...but if an OWNER feels the need to be so unnecessarily PETTY over "FRIED" catfish instead of "broiled" in a damn fish salad (which is HER right) ...then I shall elect to share my experience and how it put a bad taste in my mouth (...which is MY right!) Do with it what you will.

We went for breakfast and food was awful.. out of 6 of us no one ate their food .. hash browns and home fries both had a yucky taste to them as they were using old oil to cook with .. we had 2 steaks that was garbage you couldn't even cut it and our food came to our table cold . French toast had sat in the window so long it was mush from the frozen strawberry preserve they topped it with. And i'm assuming owners wife wanted argue with us when we showed her we couldn't cut through the steak . I will never go back due to her unprofessional and poor quality of food

The waitress (maybe owner? An older Latina lady) stole my credit card. I forgot to remember to get it back after paying but then proceeded to sit there for two hours, until the restaurant closed, and she never returned it. I think that's called stealing. When I sent a friend to get it, because I wasn't in town anymore, she refused to give it to him. I think that's called theft.
