Day & Night Market

Really good burritos! Hole in the wall. Very short detour from highway. I am always looking for alternatives to fast food while driving up and down the State. This is now pinned on my list!

Stopped in after a short visit to Bakersfield on my way back to LA. Daughter and I each ordered burritos and ended up taking one home they were so big. Chile Colorado wet and carne asada wow. Chips and salsa too. It's a market a restaurant a deli everything you could ever want. Will be sure to stop by here again clean and friendly

Had just drove in from Nor Cal . They had me stand there like an idiot for ten minutes and wouldn't take my order. Nobody else was in line. Went across the street to the other restaurant. Much better service

It looks like a mini market in a tiny pass thru town - which it is... But, Don't miss out on this opportunity for a delicious meal. On our way home from visiting Family up north. We stopped in for something to eat. Actually, my Husband had already been here and wanted me to try it, We cut across from the 5 to the 99 - simple detour and so worth it. The ladies who run the small food counter inside the market make the food with love. I had an Al Pastor Burrito and my Husband had a half Chili Verde half Chili Colorado Burrito - wet style. Both were delicious. I admit to stealing red sauce from his plate - scooping it up with chips. Excellent! It's on my list of favorites now. I'll be back! Gracias Senoras - La comida fue buen rico!

The previous reviewer accurately described this as a cross between "The Hills Have Eyes" and "Texas Chainsaw Massacre." But don't let the fact that it looks like an EZ-Up Shed deter you. The food is delicious, and it earned an A on it's health inspection, so what's not to like? My husband ordered the Chili Colorado burrito, which he said was delicious, and the carne asada soft tacos (which I ordered) were also good--but SPICY because of their hot sauce, which looks like red chilis ground into a paste.The prices are extremely reasonable, and the food is fresh. It's definitely 100 times better than stopping at Taco Bell or McDonald's. Oh, and now they take debit cards. If you're ever in the middle of nowhere and need something to eat, try this place. You won't regret it!

Really good Breakfast Burrito. We ordered Potato/beans/cheese/egg with sausage. It was delicious. sauce on side was too hot for me but i'm a gringo lol.

Stopped on the way down, and am I glad we did. Had a delicious, wet, chile verde burrito with lotsa high quality meat. The place is super clean, the owners obviously take a lot of care. Mostly soft drinks and beer for sale, but looks like they sell shears and loppers to the agricultural workers too, possibly a breakfast crowd. Simple booths and chairs for decor, but way better than settling for fast food.

The best secret Mexican cafe ever. I always stop when I pass thru. So good! It looks deceiving from the outside and might scare you away but super clean kitchen and friendly ladies behind the counter. Give it a try when passing thru.

My father and I stopped at this market on our to LA and decided to try out their tacos. We absolutely love the food at this place. Also the owner was very friendly as well as the workers. Great Prices !!

Tamales made the correct way , like grandma used to make , call ahead to check if there any left , chorizo and egg burrito well worth the drive , yes indeed , will warm you up on a cold foggy day , it may be gone when they build that casino out there , get it now and enjoy it while it last's
