By far the best dance studio in Porterville. I practiced and performed for Dance Horizons as I was growing up for 12+ years and loved it. Lillian Goss is totally professional and such a wonderful teacher. Students range from 3-65+. It was sort of a family tradition for me as my mother was with Lillians studio for ages before I was born, and was practicing right up until the day I was born, so as soon as I was old enough to take instruction I was there too. Highly recommended, Lillian as well as the other instructors are fantastic!

This dance studio is not little girl friendly. First, the teachers do not talk to you before taking them back into the room. Then they close the curtain so you cannot see what's going on. Then my three-year-old got told she could not come back (because she came out to check on me or go to the bathroom too much) and she was not ready without any warning. I begged and pleaded to try to get her to be able to go to a few more practices that I did not realize if she did this then she would be kicked out and they did not care. They already deleted her from everything.

When my daughter was about 4 we took her to dance horizons to begin ballet, after about a month, she didn't seem to be retaining information about dance, I intermittently sat in on a few of her classes and was appalled at the lack of coordination in the management. Payments were often lost according to Lillian, even though the bank statements said she had cashed them. As for the dancing, it was lousy, only Lilian was trained and the other instructors seemed fore qualified for a Bally's fitness club. We removed my daughter and enrolled her in Deenies Dance across town. When we did we learned that many others had done the same, they are much more professional and my daughter showed immediate improvement.

This studio creates an amazing environment for children, I trained and practiced here for 16 years, since I was 3 years old. I cherish my memories of dancing like fairies when I was little, getting accustomed to being on stage, making friends I still keep in touch with, learning dance technique, and just in general growing up with good posture and regular exercise. Miss Lillian has been a role model in my life and im glad she's still making such an influence on little dancers lives!
