Staggering how horrid the service was here and how skanky the RV turned out to be. Won't bore you with the many, many details of our nightmare pick-up day and crappy customer care, but suffice it to say we could never recommend this place. Check out the photos- lovely right? Kids had a good time, but we were completely ripped-off. Inside of RV was totally filthy, held together by duct tape in some parts, and the cargo holder wouldn't lock. NEVER again.

(Apologies if I sound rude but I am very frustrated - not usually like this!) What an AWFUL experience! My partner and I rented an RV for 7 days at 1600 dollars (San Diego to Las Vegas). The confirmation email says we must call the depot 24 hours before picking the vehicle up to confirm our collection. 24 hours before and we called and left several voicemails - absolutely nothing returned. Eventually I called the general number on the Cruise America website and I was told they won't put me through to the depot I need to call them again and keep trying, so no thanks there! I then wrote a message on their website and had a response back from someone saying the depot aren't sure yet... umm aren't sure about what!? Further email to say oh they aren't sure when you should pick it up, they're still getting it ready and to call again in the morning. So the following morning came and I called up again, obviously there was no answer so further voicemails left. By the way I was using a hotel phone so I was charged for each call! So I called up the website number and I was told to just arrive at 1pm and wait. I arrived at 1pm with my partner and to my surprise the RV was ready - good news. The gentlemen Chuck was on his own, so that makes sense why I could never get through on the telephone. Chuck was very helpful and the only star that I must leave is for his kind service! As myself and my partner were on our way with the RV, to a complete shock I had a bad panic attack on the freeway, being the only driver this was not good. We pulled over for quite some time before coming to the conclusion that it was much safer to return the RV to the depot - I was in a a mess and not fit to drive. The decision was made for the safety of me and other road users, and the vehicle. Chuck was extremely supportive and calmed me down, he gave us water, the use of his American phone (we are from the uk so couldn't make calls), he called the head office to explain what had happened and they were just transferring him through different people so eventually we told him to leave it and I would deal with it once we had booked a hotel to stay in for the next few nights. I was disgusted to find two days later I hadn't been contacted even once by Cruise America to ask how I was doing or show any concern for me, their customer. After I explained what happened they sent back a small email to say they won't be refunding me as now they have to use their time to get the RV to Las Vegas. I was absolutely horrified with the lack of customer service offered by them! Regardless of time, they are a very profitable company and could easily afford to offer even a partial refund - but they won't, because they don't care about the customer and their situation - they only care about what's in our wallets!! I just cannot believe the lack of customer service, having asked for this to be lodged as a complaint I've still heard nothing back! I had explained that we had to fork out to pay for hotels (we were unable to move our flight so no choice) and they just didn't show any care. As I said, even a partial refund would have helped. I am damn sure It wouldn't have cost them 1600 dollars to get the RV to Vegas! I would advise anyone thinking about using them to look elsewhere! There are far better companies out there who are deserving of you!! AVOID CRUISE AMERICA AT ALL COSTS.
