Cope's Tackle & Rod Shop

What an amazing shop this is. I'm just starting to pick up fishing and I needed some guidance on getting started, they had so many options and fairly priced. Steven was quick to help me from beginning to end. He walked me through picking a fishing rod,, hooks, lures, tackle box and even showed me a couple of methods to tie my hooks and setup my lures. They were extremely patient, detailed and informative. I never once felt rushed. I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this to anyone regardless of your level of expertise.

Amazing store, huge selection for everything fishing. The guys that work there were super helpful, and super informative on freshwater and saltwater fishing.

Great local business. HUGE selection of fresh and saltwater baits, live baits, line and tackle, rods and reels. Clothing options too from waders, shoes, boots and jackets, shirts, hats and sunglasses. Only knock is yes you can find prices a little lower at the WallyWorld or online but when you need it now and a wide selection this place tops the list. It's been great to see this humble little store grow over the years. Cope's is a go to for any fisherman. Oh and drop a few bucks in the donation bucket so we can get more trout planted around Kern.

Finally a bait shop on the north west! They usually have everything I need. Friendly and helpful staff. Super knowledgeable and helped me get my dad an awesome fathers day gift. Their store is always clean and well organized. Highly recommend!

I needed a rod and reel for my six-year-old grandson and didn't know where to go to purchase it. A friend told me about Cope's. I went the morning we were taking my grandson beach camping and did not have a lot of time. I walked in, told the young man behind the counter what I needed (all purpose rod and reel for a child, that he would be able to use for a few years) and Chandler (the name of the employee) picked up the perfect set up, including weights and tackle. To say that my grandson had "fun" is an understatement. There is now a new fisherman in the family and I can give all the credit to Copes:)

The best bait and tackle shop in Bakersfield. Prices are reasonable and very, very well-stocked.Anything from fresh to salt water they have it! If you are military make sure you get your 5% discount. Lol..

Great Local shop. I'm from an hour north but wanted to check this place out for a new surf fishing pole instead of shopping the big box store in my town. Selection and customer service was top notch. They helped me put a pole, reel and line selection together. They have a really nice selection of fishing/outdoor clothes and it's not overpriced. Couldn't ask for a better experience and will definitely be back!

THIS PLACE IS THE BEST... every time I come here I get treated by front desk like I know them personally the owner is super nice they have it organized real well they are just the best tackle shop for bass, trout, carp, catfish, etc like saltwater fishing and basically every freshwater fish they have a wide selection of rods and reels and even live bait and frozen bate like minnows a variety of worms, frozen chicken, liver, frozen flying fish and so much more on the frozen side I would give stars if I could there is not one bad thing bout this place even their merchandise are high-quality

This is the best tackle shop in town! Highly recommended, great knowledgeable staff, great quality, live well bait.
