China's Alley Restaurant

Had been hearing about this place so decided to give it a visit. I ordered a combination dinner to go. So a ground beef enchilada with salsa verde, ground beef taco, and pork tamale with salsa rojo. Comes with red salsa. and chips accompanied by rice and beans. Rice and beans were good. Salsa was the best part, fantastic. Enchilada was not bad either. Taco had too much cheese but okay.....and the tamale was very hard to cut and extremely dry. I could not consume it.

My wife and mine's favorite Mexican restaurant. We have been coming here for years. They have the best taco's, menudo, and enchiladas. Thier rice and enchilada sauce are also the best in town. The staff is also polite, friendly, and quick. On a personal note, my wife recently passed away and I went in to order some side dishes for her upcoming memorial service. Not only did they not charge me for the for the food I ordered but also provided a large party tray. This was not expected but very much appreciated. China's personal touch and great food is why we ate there almost every week for years. If you haven't eaten here, please give it a try.

Came in today for lunch. Great service and the staff was very quick to greet me for service.Food was delicious. Their food differentiates themselves from other Mexican food restaurants in the area.I see other reviews stating the high prices. I believe those reviews are false. I work in sales and eat out all the time. Their prices are very reasonable and lower than the other Mexican restaurants in Porterville. I will be coming back soon.

Service- Terrible...we had to wait for refills and ask to get refilled. We didn't get our ticket to review what we ordered which was alot. She just took our card. Food was terrible. Enchiladas were salty and the sauce was really dark. Lost a customer. Food is made poorly now.

I have always enjoyed their tacos. But their service is definitely not the greatest. They should consider hiring people with more friendly customer service skills. A paying customer should not be denied a preferred seat any time especially if it isn't a busy time for them or asked if we need a menu, insinuating I should automatically know what I wish to eat. Their food is good just definitely needs improvement on their staffing.

Hadn't been here in awhile. Ordered a small 5 to go. About fainted at the $17.00 price tag and the food was just ok. Taco was good but the beef enchilada tasted like a school lunch. Rice and beans were not like they used to be. Won't go back.

Customer service was not the best. Definitely not the best food. I ordered asada nachos and an asada burrito. The food presentation was not good itself it seemed it was done with little to no effort. It was more fat than meat and the meat that there was was hard not being able to chew and the cheese on the nachos was like the American singles slices just thrown there and not even letting it fully melt. There is way better Mexican restaurants

My wife and I come here weekly. The food is good and Chelsea is an amazing server. Always there when we needed anything.

I have always loved this place but as of lately their service has been spotty. My husband and I ordered food to go and it was less than acceptable. What we ordered is NOT what we got and some of our order we didn't even get! So sad that a great restaurant has gotten so bad.
