Chevron Foodmart

The food mart is ok. Plenty of items to choose from for a quick stop for snacks. Parking is horrible here. Couple parking spots and people parking in front of the front entrance and doesn't help they are doing some type of remodel in front also with tarps and scaffolding equipment all around. People park at a pump and never fill up... go inside to buy items taking up a gas pump for parking. Ridiculous. The service is fast and the lady was friendly. Some type of fast food inside but didn't pay much attention to the name of it. Smells kinda greasy inside. Like I said for the environment: parking is bad here and I would hate to see this place crowded... it would look like the 405 freeway. Not much space for cars. And it's Chevron... way over priced California gas.

Mannn I had just finished my shift, driving home all sweaty when I decided to pull over at this gas station for a breather. BOY was that the best thing I decided to do that day. Those asada fries were just scrumdillyumptious, the carne asada was well seasoned, French fries soft, and the sour cream & cheese Definitely plan on going back!

Updating review for Chevron's little taqueria inside. Their burritos are still decent, the owner employees are always cool willing to let customers try a new item.

Gas is always cheaper here than my beloved Sully's on Ming. Today for example, it is 15 cents cheaper by the gallon.The store is always neat and orderly.If the owner is the same one from 4 years ago when we moved here, we met him and liked him right away.Little things, good impressions make for prosperous business.There is a little Mexican take out place inside here but we have never tried it. Maybe one day as it smells great!Gas area is always stocked with paper towels, windshield washer cleaner, etc.

Rude staff! No, hello, no thank you, just very demanding and rude. The 9 years I have been in this area and they have never been nice if I have to come inside..... what a nightmare

This gas station never has working pumps. I went there today so I could get a car wash too.When I pulled up I saw a car in the car wash.I couldn't use the key pad for gas (sign said go inside to pay) so I went in. Waited in a huge line. and once I finally got to the front of the line @ 7:05 the attendant said car wash closed at 7. I only got gas here to get a discount on the car wash (otherwise I would have just gone through the car wash).So she wouldn't sell me a car wash.I pumped my gas & went to the car wash machine and paid for & received a wash. Nothing was closed or shut down & it seemed just as interesting that she couldn't sell me one after I bought gas & some snacks from them.

The absolute best food on the go! We've tried literally almost everything on the menu and our guaranteed favorites are:*Carne Asada French fries. The flavor is mind blowing especially with a little of their salsa poured onto every bite. A must order as an appetizer even though it works well as a meal also. *Papusas. I've never even heard of these before dining here but the picture at the register sold me. We ordered a couple and we were so impressed with how absolutely delicious they were! We order these every-time as well. * Chicken Fajita Burrito. They have some of the best chicken I've had in a Mexican burrito. It's juicy and flavorful and another must have item! *Carne Asada Torta- if you like Tortas then this one will stay on your list of places to have one. We don't live in Bakersfield anymore but we come visit often and we never leave Bakersfield before stopping in and we will often eat here and take some additional meals "to go" for when we get home two hours away as a meal for later. But my favorite part about this place is how extremely clean everything is and how extremely friendly the wonderful women working there are. If you need a quick bite, then stop by this place and feast. Everything is extremely reasonably priced and you will be full, happy, and definitely content. My wife and I love the food and the staff here and we hope to continue eating lunch here for many more years to come!

I could not find a separate Yelp business just for the taqueria alone but I believe this encompasses both the taqueria and the actual store. This is mainly for the taqueria but I have nothing but great experiences with both. The staff is actually very friendly and attentive when you need assistance. The Mexican food alone is worth the drive as it is authentic Mexican food. I've tried several different items on the menu, including burritos, tacos, quesadilla and even pupupas. They're all fantastic and I will be coming back. The prices are low and you get a ton of food.

Yet again a great lunch !! And huge to !! I ran into the owner today and she made me her special wet burrito !! It was incredibly good and it was enough food for me to take home !

These guys overcharge so much for their things. Go across the street to the Mobil or liquor store for anything. Tried to charge me 7 dollars for a can of white claw. Crazy
