Chef's Choice Noodle Bar

I have been coming to this restaurant for years and I think this new place is beautiful. But boy, have they gotten pricey! My favorite item on the menu is the crab fried rice and it has gone up to a whooping $29! I mean, I know they use real crab but my goodness, I'd like to get an entree also and once you add that your bill is well over $60 and that's without drinks! I enjoyed all of my food including my espresso martini! The hubby and I will come back for another date night but with the prices I'll leave my greedy kids home lol.

Update:I decided 3 yrs. later to order from Chef's Choice again through Uber Eats and I should have known better.As a note: Today's rude employee was Andrea (that was the name she gave me over the phone anyway.)I was seriously hoping to call and speak about my order to only ask for extra sauce without catching a rude attitude but alas, that was not to be.This is the only restaurant in B-town that consistently has employees that answer the phone and provide rude attitude. I honestly cannot understand it. I really do not give a damn how busy any restaurant is, there is no reason or excuse for such attitude towards any customer on the phone.I hope that I am not stupid enough to order again from Chef's Choice Noodle Bar.Original Review 2021I will recommend Chef's Choice for their food, but not their customer service.Tonight, (July 15th, 2021,) I placed an order for 3 appetizers and a salad through Door Dash. Because there is no option to add special instructions, I called the restaurant just as I have done previously with no problems, until this evening.I chose #2 on the phone which is the to go option, and a staff member answered the phone. I asked her if she could pull up my Door Dash order. Her response was that it was probably ready and she couldn't. I tried to explain to her that I had just now placed the order and could she please pull up the order. She again became argumentative with me and after a few more times of her rude, argumentative behavior, I asked to speak to a manager. She then said 'May I ask why you would like to speak to a manager'? I told her 'No, you may not, and she verbally scoffed at me and placed me on hold. At that point, I was so frustrated that I hung up and called Door Dash, told them what happened and asked them to cancel the order. They did as such. I subsequently called Chef's Choice back and asked to speak to a manager. Nick came to the phone and I explained to Nick that I have certain food allergies and was calling to make a modification on the salad and further explained the staff member's rude and argumentative behavior.This is the second time this year I have encountered a rude staff member. Once at the downtown location and again this evening at the Ming location.As a result of this second encounter, I will not looking to anymore be a customer of Chef's Choice Noodle Bar. I will not tolerate the one thing that is controllable, and that is customerMy stance may be old school, but it is my old school.

First and last time visiting here. I was searching for some Asian food in the Bakersfield area and this showed as having a lot of reviews, but was super disappointed with the taste and price for the dishes.We had the drunken noodles and Thai boat.The drunken noodles were overly sweet and crumbling noodles had no integrity to its structure. For this place being called a noodle bar, it did not live up to its name. The Thai boat was not authentic of a typical boat noodle, and overly salty. The broth tasted like instant pho broth and consumed with msg. The rice noodles were also undercooked, and you only received 4 pieces of meat.Lastly, for the price of $20 each, the dishes were not worth the price. Overpriced, dull Asian food for Bakersfield.

Our family has been coming to the Noodle Bar for years. My husband was wanting some drunken noodle and I wanted to try their happy hour food and drinks. All our food came and quickly and was fresh. Everything was very good but the star was their vodka wings. I also had a lemon drop martini that was great. Bonus with the Noodle Bar is that happy hour is everyday.

This is a much larger venue than it looks from the outside. They have a large patio area, a separate bar area and even a separate area for groups. I was greeted immediately upon arriving and sat quickly. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I ordered the mixed vegetable noodles with duck. This came in a large bowl and they didn't skimp on any item. I, unfortunately, wasn't able to finish it. It could easily be shared. There are other items on the menu I want to try so I'll be back.

Beautiful, clean restaurant with full bar, outdoor seating, and looks like a private room for parties or meetings. My servers name was Isiah, and he was so personable and awesome in every way. Great service. I ordered a papaya salad with shrimp, ribeye med rare with coconut rice covered thai style, and thai ice tea. Everything I got was flavorable, hot, and fresh. The staff gets an A for service helping each other and always a smile. I wish I lived here. I'd be a regular.

Made reservations for 6pm on a Friday with my family and it was a pretty good spot. Cute ambiance in the reseraunt, wasn't too packed but I still recommend you call and make reservations. Good extensive menu. So depending on what your looking for, they more then likely have it. We decided to try the Cashew Nut with shrimp, Mongolian Beef, Veggie Chow Mein, Veggie Glass Noodle, and Pad Thai with shrimp. In my opinion, the STARS of the evening were the Monngolian Beed and the Veggie Glass Noodle, honestly a 10/10. So much flavor and the quality is superb. The cashew nut shrimp was very good and would have to rate a 8/10. Pad Thai and Chow Mein came in as my least favorite and would have to give it a 6.5 out of 10. We went with a deser and tried the mango sticky rice and it was very good! Warm, full of flavor, and yet again great quality. Would have to rate that a solid 8.5 out of 10. Overall, pleased with my dinner and will defenitly return for that Mongolian beef and glass noddles! Thanks Chefs Noodle Bar for the good dinner. Till next time.

This place was super busy! There's a bar in the front, which looked super popular. The restaurant area is a bit quieter and located in the back. Service was exceptional. Orders:Pho: not my favorite, but also not bad! We probably won't order this again because the flavors weren't strong enough. Pad see ew with tofu: you get to choose your protein, so if you don't like tofu, you got options! I REALLY liked this. It had good flavors, textures, and noodle to veggie ratio. Would def order this again. I'd be excited to try more things on their menu! Especially the noodle dishes!

Last week I dropped in for the first time during a work event outside and decided I would order some food to-go. I thought it would be awhile because it's a restaurant, but the smell of the food told me it would be worth the wait and the kindness of the staff made it easy to settle in for a bit. Well they proved me wrong It couldn't have been any longer than 3-5 minutes and they had everything all ready for me with a smile. And then the food made me want to come back.I brought my family in this evening and sat down to where we couldn't make up our minds because everything in there looked amazing. Luckily for us, our waiter, Nick, helped us out. Again the food came out quickly and it was delicious. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE THAT WORKS THERE!!!

Just had dinner there last week and as always food and drinks are excellent! Very sweet waitress and excellent service!! Was a relaxing atmosphere and very relaxing. Nice crowd and great employees as they are all super friendly!
