Chapel Events

I've called and left messages to book an event. Is this even still a business? Very unprofessional

Well let me first say that John the owner is amazing. Considering it was a last minute booking, he took the time and showed us around this amazing little castle. The place is beautiful inside and out. John has a vision and great plans for this place. My family had a memorial reception and it was perfect. Gave us the privacy we needed with the right amount of space and beauty that surrounded us. Best part, my family got to ring the bell in memory of our loved one. It was an emotional moment for us all. This venue is defiantly worth the time to come check out. It's PERFECT for any type of event.

First, I want to acknowledge John for being absolutely amazing throughout the entire process. My husband & I planned our wedding alone without the help of a wedding planner, in just about 3 months! Fortunately, John was able to provide us with tips & suggestions that definitely eased my stress. The Bridal parlors are beautiful & very spacious, my girls & I had a fun time getting ready. My husband & his guys also very much enjoyed their time in the groom's bunker. We had both our ceremony & reception at the chapel & both were absolutely amazing. The setup for our reception was beautiful & bartender Zach did an amazing job as well! Also, being that our reception was kid friendly the jungle gym/ play set was an awesome added feature!

Absolutely the worst wedding experience possible! My daughter's wedding was at 2:00pm and the owner booked a second wedding at 3:00pm rushing us out! My daughter's great grandmother had a difficult time walking and the owner literally asked if she could "hurry up" because the next wedding was starting! Do yourself a favor and find another location!

This venue has EVERYTHING one would want or need for any fabulous event! The venue itself is beautiful and the staff is absolutely wonderful!!! I can't recommend this place enough. Our event was stressful due to a random thunder storm but all was ok and the venue staff made sure everything went smooth and successful, which it did. Love this place!!

Wwnt there for a birthday party and it was really nice. Very unexpected. The inside was a very decent size, but then salking to the outside area was a great. Kid friendly. Will definitely consider this place for my next event.

This weekend was my Mother's wedding day. John the owner was exceptional in the manor he presented and conducted are party. The venue it self was beautiful , from the Bride's sweet , Chapel and outside decor very elegant an well put together. Nothing ever goes according to plan in a party but John was quick to provide a solution, like tents for the rain in the forecast the day of. For my family it was a blessing . We would definitely plan are next event at The Old Town Chapel. Thank you John

Very unorganized and unprofessional... I had my wedding ceremony only and glad that's all because my experience was terrible. I loved the chapel itself because of how unique it is but the staff are the worst. My wedding was November 23, 2019 and about a week before hand I called Brandi, the event coordinator to schedule an appointment to go over decor. Luckily, I arrived early because I would have been stood up. John, the owner was locking up and leaving when I arrived and didn't expect me, said that the event coordinator called in sick and didn't let him know about our meeting but he stood in for her and showed me the decor, I chose what I wanted and said it would be decorated the way I had chose by my rehearsal. I went in the day before my rehearsal to leave some decorations and had spoke to Brandi to ensure she knew how I wanted my decor and she ensured me it would be the way I wanted by the following day, mind you I had already took down and put up the items in the entrance and aisle myself. The decor I had chose was very simple and all that was left to do was my arch in the front. Come rehearsal dinner Thursday before the wedding she was sick again and it was supposedly going to get done the following day and I was okay with it. I call Friday trying to see if I can go see how it looked and what do you know, she was sick again and it was going to get done the day of the wedding because it wouldn't take her long. Saturday, day of the wedding we arrive to the chapel at 8 a.m. alongside my makeup artist and hairstylist and she is not there to let me in. I call her and again, no surprise, she is sick. I call John and he said another employee Kia was on her way and he would be there shortly, almost 30 minutes later we are finally in and even then I wasn't upset. I walk in to the chapel and nothing is set up the way I wanted so I kindly asked the other woman filling in Kia, if she was going to do it and she said it was Brandi's job to get it done. She said she'd do it and 9:30 comes around and no one has done a thing to the chapel they were busy working on the outside decor for the wedding after mine. Me, the bride and my two bridesmaids had to do it ourselves. On top of that she took her kids to work with her and they were crying and eating the appetizers I had bought for the bridesmaids. Seriously the worst experience ever and I was so disappointed. We did the job of the people who worked there and Kia still had the audacity to tell me to do my own mic check after all that. I was over it and pissed at that point. I walked outside where John was and explained to him what was going on he went in and heard me out and did the mic check but at that point there was noting for him to do. Supposedly he was under the impression the decor was the way I wanted... save yourself the stress and go somewhere else. They do not know what they are doing and they are straight lazy! No bride should have to worry about decorating the day of her wedding after she's paid someone to do it. Oh and to add they were really good at taking my decor down before my guest even left so just take my advice and go somewhere else.
