This place has everything! From produce and pantry staples to houseplants and an ice cream counter... you should be able to find everything on your list here without driving all the way into Bishop. Friendly service too!

This is a convenient local market that has most of the basic foods and condiments that you'd need for camping in the the area. The parking lot is dirt and gravel, but fairly flat. They have small, old fashioned shopping carts that are convenient and save you from having to carry your items in your arms. The meats in the cold case looked good and the prices weren't bad, at all. They have large bags of ice available (always an important "must have" for the camp ice chest!), plus some clever person also included frozen 1 gallon water jus for those who know that block ice lasts longer. At $1.99, these frozen jugs are a good economical choice for keeping your perishables cold. The wine selection was unremarkable. Unless you're used to bottom-shelf wines, you are probably going to be disappointed. The beer selection is much better, an you'll find a small selection of microbrews here, like stuff from Lagunitas and Mammoth Brewing Co.The produce selection was not large, but what was there looked well-trimmed and fresh. You will find some of the basic carrots, cabbages, limes, apples, and onions, but not the cilantro or other more specialized items. The staff is friendly and helpful. It's an old-time local grocery store that saves you from having to drive all the way to the next big town of Bishop to do basic grocery resupply.

Carroll's Market is a great option in Big Pine!I needed some veggies and was able to find both red and green bell peppers there. Prices were fine, actually probably less than Von's. I couldn't find fresh chives though but I don't know too many stores that would carry it.

I've been shopping at Carroll's market for as long as I can remember! They have nice prepared foods, fresh produce, and their selection of locally produced items like Baxter Honey and Indy Coffee makes me happy! I like to support the local economy.....

Carroll's Market is the only option for groceries in Big Pine. Yes, you will pay a higher price than if you drive to Bishop. But some people can't get to another town for groceries and this is a great option. I love going in here, it brings back a lot of memories for me. This is a very small town and the people who work here are very nice and just want to keep their business open like everyone else. It is very hard to do in small towns like these. If you pass through Big Pine, go in and check it out. It is a cute old market and they will really appreciate your business. They have all of the basics and can probably get you whatever you need.

This is a great family ran business with awesome selection and relative prices. Carroll''s offers local brands and produce versus the mass produced brands found in Vons or even competitor Joseph's Market. Contrary to what Mr. Java B states, the meat selection is filled with quality cuts --great steaks and bacon. Adequate supply of snacks, drinks, frozen foods, and baking essencials. The in-house baker/ deli makes delicious to-go meals and snacks. They even carry tolietries, stationary, fishing supplies and most importantly they issue fishing licenses. Great costumer service and easily accessible parking make Carroll's a sure bet.

I just glanced at my receipt from earlier today and noticed by chance the cost for a half gallon of Soy milk $8.99!!! That's 4X's more than at Smart & Final in Bishop. Big Pine is closer to me but I'll drive to Bishop and still save money. The vast majority of the products have a price tag or signage but not the milk. Carroll's lost a long time future customer today.
