Camp St Nicholas has been providing a safe, friendly and beautiful camping experience in the mountains above Frazier Park, CA for sixty years. I have been camping here since the 1970's and still enjoy sessions either summer or winter today. Over the years, the camp has gone through several renovations, adding a beautiful chapel and upgrading the pool and game room behind the pool. The camp staff are pleasant, always willing to help and accommodate special dietary or scheduling needs, and strive to make every booking a complete success. All the services of the facility are available for a single booking fee which is based upon nights and meals.

If you are looking for a snow camp for large groups of 100 or more then this is the place. It's a sort of mom and pop operation with many cabins, each with showers, sinks, toilet stalls and heaters. The cabins are really clean and have bunk beds galore that squeak a little but are sleepable. The main lodge is great for meals and they have a ton of games for the kids. They even have a stage for the kids to do skits. The camp is on the north side of a mountain above 6000 ft so the snow stays around for a while. This year we went up there and had a blast making sled runs and snow men as well as many snow forts/igloos. The food was decent camp food and they really cater to kids offering healthy kid friendly options. It was my son's first real time in the snow and it was quality father son time that I'll never forget. Thanks so much Camp St Nicholas for a great winter camp experience.

I loved the facility and the food.People warned me that camp cabins are usually dirty and the food is usually bad. Not at St. Nicholas camp. The facilities were clean. The kitchen staff did a great job preparing wonderful meals that catered to variety of tastes.

I've been taking teens to Camp St. Nicholas for many years... 13 to be accurate. We started back in the Fr. Nicholas days, then we had the great pleasure of meeting Joe and Sandy Abule and their wonderful attitudes, welcoming and food, We visited camp each year with Joe and Sandy for 8 years After Joe and Sandy the camp went through some changes and last year we chose not have our retreat at St. Nicholas. We were saddened but felt it was a decision that needed to be made. This year we heard the camp had changed management and that there has been a 180 degree change in the upkeep and in the meals. This weekend (Oct 18 - 20, 2013) we had one of the greatest experiences at Camp St. Nicholas. Under the leadership of Natasha Hungerford and her team the Camp has risen out of the duldrums. I'm Roman Catholic and I take our teens for their Confirmation Retreat. The Camp is Antiochan Orthodox and the St. Paul Chapel is so Beautiful. If you are looking for an all around Summer Camp or Snow Camp experience that is safe, clean, affordable, with delicious restaurant quality meals with a staff that is charming and well prepared please consider Camp St Nicholas. The only reason I gave them 4 out of 5 stars is because they are still working to make the camp a better experience for all. I can't wait to go back in Feb 2014 and I've already chose dates for Oct 2014. Sincerely in Christ JesusPatty Nelson - Confirmation Coordinator / Youth Minister St. Helen Parish, South Gate, CA

If you are looking for an all in one camp location, this is it. The area is just beautiful, the cabins are clean and warm, the food is great (Kids/Teenage friendly-with the MOST AMAZING HOME MADE COOKIES I have ever had), I hear they've had a new chef and I can tell-the food was MUCH MUCH better than my first time. The main lodge is large, great for meals and activities. The staff is great! very friendly and helpful. I have been here both with and without snow, and each time the area was just beautiful. The snow really adds a lot of fun for the kids. Overall, you can't ask for a better place for a retreat!!! THANK YOU CAMP ST. NICHOLAS!
