I understand it is closed for remodeling but no one really knows what it's being remodeled into.... I really hope the pool and hot springs soaking hot tub return! This was a staple for the community w it's general store and ice cream counter.....

This is a quaint little spot.We were driving through the backroads of Tulare county and were in need of something to eat,I'm glad we found this clubhouse. It's a darling little place that seems to serves as the heart of this little inside mountain valley town. When you drive up you should notice how clean and babyblue the natural hot springs pool water is ($14.00 a day for swimming $7.00 if you're a guest but I believe the pool closes at 5pm)Walk into the cute barn type building (loved that the bathrooms were right at the entrance) they had a little section were they sold groceries, another section that sold clothing and accessories, tables and games, a place to sit and watch tv, an ice cream stand, lunch counter, and the water company. The girls were very friendly and offered a lot of useful information about their little quiet and picturesque community. The people flowed quietly in and out of there saying their hi's and grabbing their goods. We were happy to learn that they have about 40 full RV hookup camping spots with a place to shower. All the spots were nice and clean, a nice place for some me or us time. We came across a nice older man who was out there cleaning and watering the area. The only negative I found here was that I didn't see much for kids such as a playground but there was a lot of hiking land. I don't know what more the campsite has to offer since we just did a quick drive around.Getting back to our lunch in the community center. It was really good. We were able to taste the freshness in every bite. They don't have a deep fryer so chips it was. I got a Turkey and roast beef sandwich, and I gotta tell you I was impressed with the quality of meats that were used and how soft my bread roll was. My bf got their bacon avocado burger, it was delicious, we could smell the bacon being fried up on the grill, the beef tasted like it was freshly grounded. It was one good lunch in a cute little place.

Great place to stop eat and relax/swim. Pool prices kinda high though even for children. Food was great, quality meats and fresh ingredients. Sat outside on upstairs' patio creek runs along and below you. Nice setting. Food prices are good. Kids loved the ice cream! Best thing though were the accommodating employees, very friendly! Made you feel at home. We enjoyed our afternoon there.

This place seems like the only place in this area with a pool so we decided to stop. Family with kids. We had some food and drinks with us when we sat next to the pool. One of the old ladies came down and threatened us to kick us out if we don't leave our stuff in our car! I was just amazed at her rudeness. We would never break any rules if told but her rudeness with guests was unbelievable. Even on the way out we stopped to get some food and we felt that we were somehow unwanted there. Yes we are Asians.

The water was warm from the hot springs naturally. The place is cute and offers shopping and food items along w a small grocery store. The bathrooms were run down, but smelled clean and were kept clean. They don't have a lot of parking, but it wasn't packed the day we went. Customer service is superb!

The hot springs are nice, but the people not so much. The two crotchety old ladies were not very polite and very brusque in their manner. Also, it is kind of ridiculous that children 10 and under are not allowed in the pools, as the pools really aren't that hot. Too much liability BS going on!The swimming pool and hot springs are nice, but the entire facility is looking a bit dilapidated and needs some work. I would go back for the hot springs if I were in the area, but the old ladies might keep me away! Also, it was 4:45 and they immediately shut off the internet, stating that people come and park outside to poach off of it, when supposedly they keep it on until 5 o'clock. Oh, BFD, what's a little internet poaching going to cost you? Good will, generosity and friendliness will go a long way, stinginess does not. Very little consideration for guests.

It was a fantastic visit at California Hot springs. We swam at the snow. I was nervous heading up there without snow chains, but you're low enough of the mountain, that you don't need them with light snow. The ladies that work there are amazing!

Memories from my childhood. This place rocks.. some people don't like the owner, I think she's great. Buy a month pass and hang out.. the town is small even by my standards. Great area, you can drive right up to the kern river....I just read a few reviews.. let me elaborate. The locals are niceThe local sherrif is a great guy talked with him twice. Trust me he can keep the peace. The owners is a doll, if you dont get her then get out.The food is awesome and reasonable.Dam they got a ice cream bar in the middle of know where. The bathrooms are clean. Take a shower before you go back to camping. The price.. omg $15 for a day or $50 for a month.. wow what a great deal.To the lady who said somebody looked homeless and said lewd comments to your daughter.. the owner wouldn't let them hang if they weren't safe.. she's 86d a bunch of locals from the town that dont get along. As for the dress of the man. Sorry go back to Glendale or Pasadena where clothes matter.. i got a swimsuit and a towel. If it was $5 there would be too many people to swim...

I felt compelled to write a rebuttal to the 4/9/21 negative review by Shalabh G. There are signs everywhere not to bring glass bottles or food into the pool area for safety and sanitary reasons. All guests are also reminded of this as you pay for the day and obviously this did not deter you from bringing bottles of beer and bags of food to the pool area, which is in violation of the resort's alcohol license. This was my second time there for three days, and the staff were all very friendly to everyone there. There was absolutely no incidents of discriminatory harassment as I was in the pool when she asked you to take your beer back to your car. I believe in social justice, and feel that Mary was unjustly accused by these unwarranted comments. Race had nothing to do with her safety request. I am also Asian and I witnessed Mary having very friendly and welcoming interactions with all other guests.
