California Correctional Institution

I am trying to get books to inmate. Amazon sent the books and they arrived at the prison. The inmate has not received them yet. One month ago, I cannot find out what the remedy is.

So second time around and I am releived that I was able to get an approval on my choice of wardrobe. I finally got to see my sibling after 19 months. Happy Happy Happy. This time the process was quick and so much easyer. ~v~

This place has been by far the worst place my love can be in. We have a death in the family and inmates are allowed a call to the family, but I've been trying to call and no one can help! They just keep giving me different ext to call! I don't understand? Let's not talk about my experience when I go visit cause I can say a lot of things about this place that is not good. Something must be done about this situation! I don't understand how staff can be so cruel to us as if we are the ones who committed the crime.

There is a defining moment in every ones individual life when you will be put to the test. Are you a coward or aren't ya? Make yourself count because in the end you will find out you only have one life and your either a friend or an enemy to yourself.

Best hotel I've ever stayed at. Quality of the meals and beds varied but they were all FREE! That's a deal right there. Sometimes I was naughty and they put me in "the thinking box." It's a dark room where all you can do is think. Imma tell you, I did think and I came out of the Correctional Institution with more thoughts than I had before. Really enjoyed it actually. I wrote some new songs and my new album "The Thinking Box" has sold 250 copies so far. Thanks CCI.Also I get really lonely when I take showers, at CCI you never shower alone so I always felt like I had friends. Made some really good friends there in fact. They'd follow me and keep me company all day and they even had cute pet names for me. So much positivity! 5 stars all the way.

I have a sibling who is doing time in this facility and I recently got word from a clergy person that my sibling was taken to a hospital. I phoned the prison and after about 50 trys, the operator finally answered my call. As I wanted information about my sibling, I was told I had to speak with the public information officer and was given his extension number. I tried that number well over 100 times and only got a voice mail. I had left no less than 30 messages asking for a return call and nothing. Finally thru some friends and connections I was able to have a parole officer find out where my brother was and phoned the hospital directly. That is a whole other story, but at least I got somewhere, with absolutely no help from the CDC. These employees are overpaid, underworked and absolutely useless in my opinion.

I've read all of the reviews and tips. I've had horrible experiences at one prison that was extremely stressful for no reason. I do understand some people are just mean and evil just because they can, and others may just be having a bad day. I'm thinking positive that my first and all visits at this prison will be smooth. I'll be back after my visit on Saturday! I'm giving a 3 star rating for now until after my visit.
