I had a complete off the frame restoration of my 1970 Chevelle and complete rewired to handle my new LS7 441 Stroker making over 800hp and 700tq it took some time but it was well worth the time and money I highly recommended Calspeed's for all of your vehicles including new and old.

Car dropped a valve and destroyed the motor weeks after I wrote a positive review. Engine builder said they didn't do the cam install correctly.

Jim has saved me money over the years. He has great knowledge of his profession and the industry. I have a 2004 z06 corvette that Jim has been taking care of since 2009 when I bought it and needed the clutch line bled. Most people have moved on to newer cars. I can keep this thing on the road still because Jim and his crew take good care of it. They've done the master cylinder, clutch, slave cylinder, transmission, motor swap when the old one gave out, exhaust. I've been satisfied with their work. I hope their shop continues to do well. I've been to other shops that change you an arm and both legs. That's not these guys. They do very good work at a fair price. Thanks calspeed

Had some gearing work done at a local shop, needed a tune asap. Jim got me in, got it done quick. Showed me what he did, picked up 26HP in just tuning. I saw his interaction with another customer, seemed like they do care. I'll be using Calspeed for more work.

I took my 72 camaro to Jim last october to change my 4l60e transmission to a new gm performance 4l70e with a torque converter suggested by Jim. The 4l60e was older than my newer 5.3 ls type engine and required an offboard computer which was not performing the way i wanted. After fighting with the wiring that had been hacked up since 1972 We decided to rewire the entire system including my led underdash lights and underhood lighting as well as power seats, cruise control , power windows, power door locks, alarm, etc.At this point Jim suggested we go one step further and really clean up the engine bay and hide all the wires and hoses under the inner fenders .At this point Jim suggested We should have the engine bay painted. I decided at this point to go full bore and change the power plant to a GM performance crate 6.2 ls with a hot cam. Jim also changed the wiper system to a raingear 2 speed system with delay. We also changed the factory air to vintage air freeing up space on the firewall. Jim changed the inner fenders as the old ones would have taken more labor to fix than they were worth.Am i happy with the outcome? Most definitely YES!! I'm extremely happy with the quality of work that Jim and David did The engine has been tuned to perfection and performs beyond my expectations. The job took Longer than expected but I learned that meticulous quality work is better not rushed.

Today on 3-27-23 I just had my 2014 Challenger Tuned after all the Mods I have done to it.. WOW Jim just unleashed a BEAST.. I give Jim two thumbs up!!Thanks again Jim!Virgil T.

2018 Shelby 350GT. Whipple supercharger installed at Whipple in Fresno. Dyno'ed there at 737whp. After a PROPER retune at CalSpeed, received a dyno of 838whp! Wow, Jim just hooked me up. Decided to go w him for x-pipe exhaust and kook headers per his suggestion for additional hp and performance. Installed wo issue (besides cali's distaste for all that is cool regarding header shipment) and happy w results. Re-dyno'ed at 862whp! There's no better place in CenCal for high grade American muscle after market boosts than CalSpeed. Trust me.

Staff are very friendly and patient. They got the job done timely and appreciated the needs of the customer, saw that they were met. Vehicle runs great right now after their tune.

I called and spoke with Jim and he let me know when I could bring my truck in for some computer program adjustments. I showed up and had the opportunity to listen as he talked to the customer in front of me. I was highly impressed with his level of knowledge and expertise not only in prices of services but with information that would benefit the customer that he didn't know to consider. When he finished and it was my turn he immediately went out to my truck and did the adjustments and calibration for me. My truck runs better and smoother than ever before! I wish there were more than 5 stars available.
