I took the car into Vic's for diagnosis and repairThe problem? This cabin air filter. Had I known there was such a thing, I would have had it replaced years ago. My guess is it was never replaced. Filthy, huh? All that gunk blocked the air flow. Everything else in the a/c system is operating correctly (a bit surprising, given the car's age). The air blows like a monster now, like three times more volume. I'm ready for summer. This is an honest shop. A dishonest shop would have been able to claim there were other problems, things that would be expected in an old car. Thank you, Vic & Company!"
"I recently had the opportunity to have work done some very fine, competent and honest mechanics at Full Throttle. They diagnosed my transmission problems, performed a complete rebuild and upgrade for, what I consider, a very fair price and in the time predicted. While my truck was there, I asked them to change the serpentine belt with a new one I had with me. As my truck is 14 years old I felt it was past due. The belt change turned out to be a bit more of a challenge than anticipated, but, once again, they were up to the task.I left feeling very satisfied with the repairs and tasks performed. I would highly recommend this shop for virtually any repair on your car or truck."

"I can't say enough positive things about Pro Tech, the staff and service. I have a home in Tehachapi and my shop and other home is in Northern California. Without fail, my van develops a small and annoying problem when I am here a couple of times a year. This time, it was the high pressure power steering line. Two other shops couldn't be bothered to even look at it so I had been told it was the steering box. I swung by to have it looked at Pro Tech and the owner told looked at the van and told me it wasn't the steering box or its seals but the high pressure power steering line. He told me to get the line and make an appointment, which I did and when the line came in to the auto parts store, I made an appointment. I dropped the van off with the line, got a ride from staff to my home and quickly the line installed, an hour labor and my van back in order. 5 stars all around for the experience. "The guys at Transmission Performance Center really saved us. We bought a truck from a tow yard. There was a sticker near the gas tank that the trunk only took diesel .... so we put diesel. HUGE mistake. Luckily, the truck stopped running near this place. The guys came out to ask us what was wrong. They realized the sticker was wrong and gave us an idea of what could be done to fix the problem. We left the truck with them (thankfully we had a rental) and returned home (to another state). Jimmy communicated with us throughout. He told us when the car would be ready and gave us a fair price. We drove back to Bakersfield and picked up our truck last Friday. We've driven it about almost 1,000 miles so far and it's worked perfectly. These guys are honest and helpful. If I needed help again, I wouldn't hesitate to give them my business."

This is the best and most honest BMW shop in the AVI been coming here for 2 years now and they never disappointed me. Customer service is the best. They take the time to explain everything to you so you can understand also leaves you with the best options on things to fix now and things that can wait truly a blessing to have this much honesty not out to just take your money!!

I needed a brake rotor replaced, and a tire switched from one wheel to another.I got there in the afternoon.They didn't have the rotor in stock, so I told them I had already ordered one from O'Reilly Auto (1.3 miles away), and it should be in by that afternoon or early the next morning.They got me in right away the next morning, they said they'd go get the rotor from O'Reilly, and they were done with all the work by mid-late morning.I SUPER appreciate them getting to me so quick. I'm glad they're there.If I knew they were going to mark the rotor price up almost 60% from $105 to $166, I would've just made the 5 minute drive to pick it up myself. They should have let me know they were going to mark it up like that before they went to get it.Also, for the cumulative 30 minutes of work they did (I was there the whole time) over the couple of hours after they started on it, $240 is pretty steep.It is in a somewhat remote area, and places like that usually charge higher because they got ya in a no-choice situation .... but $480/hour!? Ooph. That kinda hurt.Summary: I'm glad they're there and took care of me pretty quick, it seems like they did good work on a pretty simple job, nice guys and they're pricey.

We are incredibly grateful for Reprius. We were on an urgent trip from Southern California to Northern California when several lights came on. We called around, but many mechanics weren't able to assist. We were referred to Reprius and received excellent service. Tim met us at his shop, showed us the issue, and told us the cost upfront. He taught us how to change the part ourselves in case this happens in the future, and we were in our way in less than an hour. Thank you, Tim, and thank you, Reprius!

These guys are great!Got an appointment very fast. Cheerful and helpful service. These guys have a sense of humor. My Honda had over 130,000 miles on it, so I got the full run-down service, checking for everything. We barely had time to go get breakfast before they gave us a call and said they were done. Very reasonable pricing. They gave me an estimate before the service was done and managed to knock about $25 off the final price. Very helpful and honest.*** Didn't make me replace anything that didn't actually need replacing. They didn't try to take advantage. Good folk. I'll definitely be going back for my next tune-up.

One my way home from work one Friday my check engine like had came on. Prior to this I had my oil changed at teeters and they recommended all automatic transmission for a transmission service since my transmission was sealed. I called all automatic and spoke with Jimmy. He had just closed up and said they would be back in Monday. Monday morning rolls around and I drop my car off. That afternoon he calls me and lets me know he doesn't seem any issues but would like to keep my car a little longer I told him that was fine. The next day he called me with my issue. My fuse box had came loose which was causing my car to stall. He got it taken care of so I asked for them to service the transmission while it was there. Some shops will tell you anything to get money out of you and this place is so honest. I would highly recommend this shop. Thanks Jimmy!!!

"After calling around this entire town; I came across this place on Yelp. After giving them call, they were the only shop willing to look at my issue in a new GMC terrain which has a new design transmission which most shops not only don't have the experience but probably have never encountered them as of yet. I drove the car down to the shop and later they called to let me know of the issue they found. Essentially the torque converter was locking up and instead of replacing or rebuilding it, they were able to add a kit that stopped it from locking and shaking the car. The called in the afternoon and said it was fixed for a few hundred dollars. So far have put 1500 miles on it with zero issues. Very honest shop and doesn't look to break your wallet but actually diagnose the problem and will fix it the right way without putting a dent in the wallet. Definitely will come back here if I ever have any transmission issues with any vehicle. Definitely super reliable, very quick to get you back on the road and exceptional customer service. Well worth your time and money if you have transmission issues"

I didn't have that kind of money so I called around and another transmission place recommended Rodney to me. I was able to get a used transmission with warranty for less than half the price! "Took my vehicle in for a lower ball joint repair. Got a over the phone quote for $350 and they said that's a estimated price because they haven't seen the car. I said cool, went in and the did a inspection and said was $500 so I said go ahead and do the repair. Stayed and waited for about 4 hours and when they were closing. Guy came in and was furious spoke to me with a angry tone of voice saying he will need to charge me more to remove some more parts in order to get the job done. I told him no and that I'm not going to pay more for him. I think he's the owner, maybe Frank, chubby mexican guy. Shop and I agreed on the $500 payment for them to get the job done. It doesn't matter how easy or hard the job gets the price we agreed on is what I'm gonna pay. If I had knew the price was gonna keep going up I would have never came there. The guy got upset that he couldn't do the job and wanted more money. He changed his tone of voice real fast after me bringing up the BBB that he's upset at himself that he couldn't do the job and wanted more money. He said he'll just leave the car as it is and move my car to the street and let me deal with it. I came in for him to do the job so I can pay him the $500 so I can leave. They said they're the only shop that opens on Saturday and I understand that but taking advantage of their customers by keep raising the price is NOT right. A price was agreed on and they should honor that no matter how easy or hard the job is. Don't get mad at me because you can't do the job and want to keep raising the prices. Also messed my car up even more because I didn't give him "more" money. Other workers there was quiet and they new what he did was messed up. When he did the 4 wheel spin test only 3 wheels spin and the passenger side that he was supposedly to be repairing wasn't spinning. Obviously he didn't even put the axle back into the transmission probably didn't even cleaned the axle end before putting back into the transmission. I'm sure there was sand and debris on it from the ball joint failure. Now my transmission probably has debris and small rock sands in the transmission. The vibe is definitely off at this shop they'll talk to you nice but will continue to keep raising prices on you because they feel like they can because they're the only shop that opens on Saturday. They're crooks!"
"I only came in for a smog check and it was done very quickly. I passed even though I was a little worried. They probably saved me from failing by spotting a hose that I had "repaired" with some duct tape. They offered to change it and I accepted assuming I would have to pay a little for the work. They did not charge me a dime for changing the hose! The owner is a very friendly guy and seems very hands on in his shop. I could tell from how he dealt with me and the other customers that came in while I waited that he is a good, honest, business owner that just wants to do good work for his customers without ripping them off. I've been looking for a good shop in town and I think I found it. I will definitely come back when I need some real work done."
