"Man, I was heading to Calkin flats campground in Kernville and half way there, I ran over something and I got a flat. I was on the freeway, pretty dangerous but decided to get the spare tire on there. Every time I looked up and saw a car or truck coming, I'd run to the side. Once I got the spare on there, I headed to Bakersfield and started yelping. Found this high review tire shop and they got me a brand new tire within 10 minutes! I LOVE these Hispanic owned tire shops as they are no nonsense businesses. They are straight forward with pricing and get shit done so quickly. It's unbelievable. $90 out the door. Done deal and I was back on the road to my camping destination. Love these guys. I tipped the guy who took care of my van's tire. Good guy. Told me he lived in South central at one time but now living in Bakersfield. He's a great guy, professional and funny as hell. 5 stars for sure!!Please tip them if you're able to when they get you taken care of. It will mean so much to them even if it's a dollar or two. Without fail, my van develops a small and annoying problem when I am here a couple of times a year. This time, it was the high pressure power steering line. Two other shops couldn't be bothered to even look at it so I had been told it was the steering box. I swung by to have it looked at Pro Tech and the owner told looked at the van and told me it wasn't the steering box or its seals but the high pressure power steering line. He told me to get the line and make an appointment, which I did and when the line came in to the auto parts store, I made an appointment. I dropped the van off with the line, got a ride from staff to my home and quickly the line installed, an hour labor and my van back in order. 5 stars all around for the experience. "I was looking for a place to change the oil on my car and this place looked like they worked on higher end cars and would know how to change the oil in my car properly. They were expensive but thought I would splurge on them this time. Well a few months go by and I needed to change my oil again and I went to another shop that was much cheaper. I watched as they worked on my car and watched as the mechanic came to show me my oil plug. It seems that performance tightened the plug so much it "mushroomed" the washer on to the plug he had to cut the washer to get it off. He did torque the plug to the correct specs, and off I went. I was going to go to performance to get more work done to my car but if they don't even care how they to do a simple oil change, I will not be back. You have to really tighten it down the drain plug to squish a washer on the plug so it would not come off."
