"This was my first time here. My daughter loves sushi, and she chose this place for her birthday dinner. Our waitress was adorable, very attentive, and friendly. I loved the open concept. The place is beautiful and clean. The tables look like they can be put together for bigger parties as well. The sushi rolls were delicious! There were many different rolls on the menu, and you would have to eat there many different nights to try them all. My husband and I have already made plans to return to try different rolls. I want to sit at the bar in front of the sushi chef next time!"

"My last visit to Yamamori was splendid, and I hope it was indicative that the food and service has improved since my last visit, about a year and a half ago. The food was delicious and generously portioned, and the waitress on staff was extremely professional and very helpful.The crazy tuna roll, the special of the day, was fantastic. Not only did the roll look carefully put together with great presentation, but it was also huge and filling! A roll that size would typically cost a few dollars more elsewhere (and that's taking the original non-special price into consideration).My dad wanted ice cream but was unsure of what mochi was. He decided on green tea ice cream, which he loved, but the waitress also surprised us with a strawberry mochi on-the-house for him to try out, which was awesome. As it turns out, he also loves mochi.I would be more than happy to write a 5-star review upon my next visit if things continue to go well! I've eaten here about 4 times, but if this review was based off of this visit alone I would definitely rate it 5 stars right away! A great dining experience."

"Always fresh. So good on a hot day! This time I tried the pickled onions, didn't notice a flavor punch unfortunately. I am trying their brownie today for dessert. Fresh cilantro always delivers a flavor punch and I always finish my bowl with more sauce and crunchy toppings. "Surprisingly decent! Stopped by here while supercharging on the way to mammoth. Was the closest thing and totally not expecting good food here in Lancaster. When seeing items like monkfish liver, nabeyaki udon, ten-don I was thinking hmmm maybe this place might not be so bad.The tempura batter is solid, very light. I don't really eat raw, so my rolls were pretty decent. I like when a place uses the white ginger not pink pickled ginger The chirashi was decent. Rice was unfortunately not sushi rice and not enough sugar and vinegar. But the fish wasn't bad quality.The service was very friendly."

My husband has celiac and has never been able to try sushi because of it but Baylee went above and beyond to help us customize a few rolls so he could enjoy sushi with me today! She read ingredients, talked to the cooks and came back to us several times to make sure his meal was safe! I can count on one hand the amount of servers or even managers that have ever been willing to do that so it was a total shock to us! We appreciate you Baylee!!! The rolls are good just rice heavy. We went on a Friday and they had live music. My husband loves the micheladas while I prefer their natural limeade. They waitresses are honest and tell you wants good on the menu, and what she doesn't. So I liked that!"

"Ordered a dine in lunch about 12:30 on a Monday. Vegetable ramen soup - good noodles, tasty vegetable broth and vegetables cooked soft but not mushy. Temperature was hot but not scalding hot, you had to hold the spoon for 5 seconds to cool it off a bit at first. Low on spice and salt, it benefited from a dash of soy sauce. I thought the presentation was very authentic, although I have not been to Japan. The manager, an actual Japanese native, was seated me, took my order and served me. A server came on duty while i was eating. The have a menu outside on a stand, a nice touch. Definitely will put Tengu Ramen in the Delano rotation and will try other dishes."

"Bento Express is a hidden gem! From the name, I expected a simple menu of rolls and bento boxes, but I was pleasantly surprised by the variety they offer. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with a warm and welcoming ambiance. One unique feature that caught my eye was the bar seating, where you can watch the sushi being made.The service was excellent--the person who greeted and seated us (who seemed to be the owner) was incredibly kind, attentive, and accommodating. It's always great to dine at a place where you feel genuinely welcomed.Now, onto the food! We ordered the yellowtail sashimi, veggie tempura, chicken plate, rainbow roll, albacore sushi, and tuna sushi. The fish was unbelievably fresh, juicy, and flavorful, making the sushi, rolls, and sashimi stand out. The chicken plate was also delicious, with a perfect balance of rice, sautéed veggies, and tender chicken topped with just the right amount of sauce. The veggie tempura was another highlight--the portion was generous for the price, and unlike other places where you taste old cooking oil, the batter here was light, crispy, and perfectly coated the veggies.Overall, our experience was amazing! Bento Express exceeded our expectations, and we'll definitely be back soon--either to try new menu items or to enjoy the same delicious dishes again. Highly recommend!"

David and his family run this restaurant. They have a creative, menu with yummy looking fare. I ordered the La Torre. My server was very attentive. It was Scrumptious! The seafood was so fresh & flavorful. It has boiled shrimp, lemon marinated shrimp, octopus, scallops, cucumber, tomato & purple onions. This cold seafood tower is beautifully layered. The bowl holds the broth that is used to make the traditional soupy shrimp cocktails. Starting with layers of cucumber, purple onions, octopus, marinated shrimp, cooked shrimp and slices of scallops topped with avocado. The portion was very generous. Light rock plays in background. The interior was very attractive. Light gray wall with touches of black to accent. Ratan lightning and greenery add to this inviting restaurant. This is definitely a place to have a date night in Wasco. NOTE: they are in the process of getting their liquor license and are expecting within the next month or two. When they receive it there will be a lounge area open as well. I'm really looking forward to going back! I highly recommend this restaurant."

When you do eat in the restaurant, you get a fun experience with KPop music videos playing all around! From a safety perspective, thay are a 4+ star operation. You can call in or walk up to the door and order. There is a plexiglass barrier at the door that is on hinges so they can take your payment and hand you your food. The good news, they had a lot of orders coming in. It took about 15 min to have the salmon ready and there was a steady stream of people that had called in orders, parked waiting to pick up. Its more of a fast food sushi, Japanese joint.All things considered, well done."

"I tried this place for the 1st time. I was really surprised that the food was so good. The menu has a lot to offer and the prices were reasonable. I tried 3 different rolls and all were tasty. No complaints. I really appreciated the presentation of the packaging on the carry out orders. The staff were very nice and attentive. As for the restaurant itself, walking in the door it's apparent they are having some plumbing issues. The smell is overwhelming and off-putting. So much so, I kept smelling it on my clothes as I drove home. I know this is a very new place so I'll give them some grace and assume they are working on the issue. One other thing that stood out is the restroom. The establishment is very small so the view to restroom is quite visible. Apparently they don't have a staff restroom as I saw one of the cooks exiting the restroom still wearing his apron and returning back inide the kitchen. That's something me as a diner never want to witness and I doubt an inspector would either.That being said, I will definitely go back to try other things on their extensive menu. I'll just be ordering carry out."

"I decided to take myself out on a solo lunch date and chose Kaze in Palmdale. I have been to the Lancaster restaurant (whichI loved) but not Palmdale. I loved the atmosphere! From the dim lighting, to the music playing and the customer service. William greeted me and told me I could sit anywhere I'd like. I chose a booth and he quickly came to my table and took my drink order. He promptly came back with water and told me about their lunch specials. There were so many delicious options, I couldn't choose. I decided to order a drink and asked his recommendation for something not too sweet. He suggested grape soju. When I tried it, it took me back to my childhood (not the alcohol part lol). It tasted like white grape juice without the sugary element. It was well balanced. I decided to try a lunch special and I ordered the Mexican roll and spicy tuna roll with a salad. He heard how much I love tuna and said he would ask the chef to add a tuna mix inside the roll. The chef decided to give me a 911 because it has the tuna mixture and he added orange mayo (I've never tried orange mayo and had to try it!). The chef overheard that I liked spicy so this was the perfect swap. The salad came first and it was gorgeous! It was fresh with crispy lettuce. The dressing was very refreshing. I loved the ginger flavor. The rolls came out quickly and looked beautiful. I loved that the 911 roll had everything I wanted in a roll: tuna, spice and creamy flavorful mayo. The spicy tuna roll was so good! I love that such a common roll stuck out to me. There was a waitress there who brought my salad, I unfortunately didn't get her name but she was great as well. She also checked on me. I was very happy with my first experience at the Palmdale Kaze. But I will say this, I'll mainly be back because of the customer service. And the chef hearing what I liked and making sure I received what I was hoping for. Great job, Kaze! You gained a new customer."

There were 4 of us for dinner and two of us were sick to our stomachs that night and the next day. The meat had a bit of a funny taste so we think that might have been the culprit. I get it, people come for the bar/club (?), but please don't serve bad meat. Especially when the plates are $25+ per person... The drinks were fine. Nothing great. Not horrible. Probably not the crowd I'd choose to have a double date night with again... even on a Sunday night lol. Maybe I'm just old haha but I won't choose to eat here again, unfortunately."

I've been visiting Wasco often for work...but wanted some local input on a great place for lunch and this was what she recommended. It's a small restaurant inside, and doesn't have any dine in at the moment. The prices are really reasonable! My roll was only around $12-$13 which is nice! Especially since most places are hiking up their prices right now...which I can understand why! Anyway the service was really great! The lady ringing me up suggested the baked salmon roll she said it was pretty amazing so that's what I tired and she was right... it was amazing! I added some spicy mayo and hot sauce to the top of the roll and that made it even better then the first bite. This will be a definite stop for me more often, except Mondays as they are closed."

However, I did hear from someone that walk-in groups can dine-in for only 90 minutes BUT i am not sure if that's true, so don't take my word for it right now. We observed the table next to us were handed take-out boxes immediately after the chef finished cooking their food so we assumed it was just the shogun's subtle/unspoken way of letting them know they need to go so they can clean and prepare for the next customers / reservations, however, again I'm not 100% sure. Anyways, once we were seated, we had to wait a bit for more guests so the tables full. A server came and took our order, which was: edamame, hibachi salmon, and hibachi new york steak! This also came with a mini salad and miso soup! Once the chef arrived and finished preparing the grill, he was ready to put on a show for us! Everything tasted amazing and he did a wonderful job! As said above, after our chef was finished with our table, a server just came with take-out boxes and said nothing. Is it usually like this at other teppanyaki restaurants??? Maybe it's just me haha The atmosphere was loud of course. I would not expect to walk into a quiet place at all. Our only concern/complaint was the ventilation. Very poor ventilation. We were seated next to the right of the chef and when he was cleaning the grill, the smoke was just blowing in our direction. We were moving side to side trying to avoid the smoke and fanning it away."
