"We came in for a cocktail about an hour before closing. Carrie was our Mixologist who made us the delicious Lavender Lemon drop Martinis this evening. If you haven't had one they are a must try. The ambience is Industrial Loungy. Great date night establishment or to meet up with friends."
"I had the best evening at Sorella's with my oldest girlfriend and bestest friend. At first we had a small wait to get a table but the teeny bar was a nice place to start off airing the vino for the meal. We were seated at a cute booth with a candle, which prompted me to turn and say to her that this was definitely our Galentine's dinner. The waitress Madison was prompt, well versed and absolutely pivotal or our enjoyment. She was so attentive and full of suggestions to keep the night flowing. It was a Saturday night and at first there was no music but then when there was -but it seemed like the soundtrack repeated after only a handful of songs. That was fine though as we did not really run out of things to talk or laugh about. We had amazing steaks, sides were "mid" but the desserts were so fun! We went with combining the Carmel Cheesecake with Bananas Foster."

"EXCELLENT Teppanyaki!!! The best in Bakersfield. This is a good-sized restaurant with a great atmosphere. Very cute decorations & even an indoor koi pond. The New York steak was phenomenal, along with delicious miso. We've had filet & lobster in the past, which was also delicious. Our chef was James & he was highly requested by the other patrons at our table. He kept it fun & personal. The rest of the staff was friendly & accommodating. Definitely the best spot for Teppanyaki!"
"First, I just started my period today, so please take this with a grain of salt. First, the people are great! The food is great. The price fair for high quality food. So I guess my only gripe...so just be forewarned, they have gone to stand in line and order. Then go to your table. Otherwise a high class place, but for me that was a super low style move. I guess, welcome to the AV. So if your particular like me who needs peace and quite, you won't like standing in line behind every Tom, Dick and Harry, whose wife is a Susan, waiting for them to ask the 13 most stupid questions. Of course this comes while you are sandwiched behind some Loud Tom who is talking so loud on his phone reading the entire menu to his wife Susan, on the other end. I could barely hear the order taker or think straight. If I was really in Texas and could have shot the second Tom, I would've. That all said, the dude who brought me my beer and more limes was so kool i had to change this whole review to just beach about this one change I did not consent too, but here I am. And cuz of the beer dude, I upped my star closer to what they deserved. Ciao."

Roamed around looking for a place to eat and found ourselves at Sonder for Wine Wednesday. Was so elated to find my favorite band, Rearview Mirror playing as well!Daughter loved her fettuccine Alfredo with added mushrooms and hubby loved the cubano sandwich. My wings were slightly under cooked but the Old Soul wine was delicious! I love their wine Wednesday special of 50% of bottles and there's usually live music to go right along with it!

The service was great. Very efficient and welcoming. We had a reservation for 10 at 630 and got seated early which was great. The food was really good over all. The steak came out too rare to our liking so we sent it back. They corrected their error right away. Great place to eat with family, would recommend.

This is my second time here in a week. It's a good honest steak house. It's family owned and run, that's always a plus for me. The portions are generous and the flavor is good! Staff is extremely friendly and really fast service. I've had the filet mignon and tri tip. No complaints, I'll be back again soon!

So a good friend of mine who lives across the country likes to send food for special occasions. In honor of Thanksgiving she was looking for a place that was open and using DoorDash delivery. DoorDash did state that the Cellar was open on Thanksgiving and since this was a surprise I didn't know ahead of time to look and see if they were. It ended up that DoorDash was not delivering from the Cellar on Thanksgiving so the order was canceled and my friend re-ordered for the next evening. Despite the issues with DoorDash showing delivery available on that day when the food was delivered it was very good. Porterhouse was cooked to my requested medium rare and they did a good job there so that's always a plus I hate an overcooked steak! This time fries were chosen instead of the baked potato and they were good and plentiful. The bread was OK it was an end piece or possibly a hamburger bun. Instead of salad to change things up soup was ordered. No description on the menu regarding what type of soup was available and it ended up being clam chowder. At first I thought it was a cream of potato soup but after eating a bit more I did realize it was clam chowder. Also in my photo there is a salad shown that is not part of this dinner. Steak was gigantic and barely fit on the plate. All in all it was a very satisfying meal although I do think I enjoy the baked potato more and to have some salad instead of the soup just because I like my greens. I have ordered from the Cellar or have had items ordered for me there several times since they started delivering on DoorDash the only thing I do wish is that they would have more of their items available for delivery. Their DoorDash menu is smaller than their menu at the restaurant so it's a little limited sometimes. Again very good steak and cooked the way I like so that's a huge plus for me and I would recommend giving it a try. They've been around forever and I'm happy to be able to order from them with delivery. Prices are reasonable as well which is a huge plus especially now when everything is so expensive. I will definitely choose to eat here again.

I have heard about this place and finally dragged my wife there for lunch. The outside is unassuming but the inside is decked out. A complete Bakersfield and country vibe. The service was fast and staff was attentive. The food came out very quickly. I had the 8 oz steak. It was nicely marbled, with a crispy crust, I could taste the dry age. Very nicely done. My wife had the strawberry chicken salad and she said it is absolutely amazing in every way. She wants to go back and try all their salads now. So we will be back!

I don't want to deduct points for the hostesses but they're rude. Short and curt answers every time my husband and I go. RUDE rude rude hostesses. First they're aggressive with the "do you have a reservation?" And the last time we went the hostess didn't let me answer the question assuming we didn't have one. RUDE! BUT that being said the food is amazing enough to return back and be berated by the mean hostesses and the bar tender IS AMAZING a MAGICIAN MIXOLOGIST love love love him and our very last waiter was Jaden. Sorry if I spelled it wrong but he was attentive and polite and kept my glass full. Thank you I get my husband and I may not be the demographic this restaurant serves but if the rest of the staff is polite attentive and respectful can't see why the hostesses have to be rude? Was there job to detour us from coming in? FOOD WAS AMAZING I literally cut the steak with a butter knife!!!! Drinks worth the torture once we got past the mean gatekeepers (hostess'). My husband wanted me to clarify it was the women hostesses.

"They've re-opened under new owners. Still the same marinade. (a plus)Steaks are now Harris Ranch beef and not Sysco. (another plus)As long as they keep adding previous menu items, they should do well."
"Chef Lino's is a really great restaurant. Don't think you're going there for cheap food though. The prices are higher than the other restaurants in the area. We went for lunch and didn't really go to spend what we did. It was worth it though. The food was phenomenal. The steak sandwich satisfied my craving for steak. It was tender and the flavors were delicious. The garlic fries were crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle. The jalapeño mashed potatoes that my boyfriend had was so good. I think that the decor was a little underwhelming for the price of the meal. It still looked like the bbq places that used to be in the same building. It seems like it wants to be upscale dining, but it's lacking in decor. The service was great and she met all our needs. She was very friendly and attentive."
"A Hidden Gem with Amazing Food, Romantic Atmosphere, and Stellar ServiceBroken Bit Steakhouse is truly a hidden gem! While the space is cozy, it adds to the charm and makes for an intimate dining experience. The food here is absolutely incredible--steaks cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The atmosphere was calm and romantic, making it a perfect spot for a date night or a relaxed evening out. They also have a lovely outdoor seating area with fire pits, which adds a cozy touch for those who enjoy dining under the stars. One standout aspect of our visit was the exceptional service. The staff was incredibly nice, welcoming, and attentive. Our server was knowledgeable and helped my fiancé and me pick exactly what we were looking for, which elevated the whole experience. Service was quick and efficient, making the evening smooth and enjoyable. My favorite dish was the Ahi Tuna Stack--fresh and beautifully seasoned with center-cut yellowfin tuna, creamy avocado, a bright gazpacho, and a perfect balance of chipotle oil, furikake seasoning, and soy ginger lime vinaigrette. My mouth is literally watering just thinking about it again! The restaurant also has a large parking lot with plenty of space, and while there are other small businesses nearby, they tend to close early, leaving the lot open for restaurant guests. One small critique would be the plating--it could have been more refined--but honestly, it didn't matter because we devoured every bite! It's worth noting that the restaurant leans more toward a bar-style vibe, so it may not be the best choice for kids, as the menu is more adult-focused.If you're looking for amazing food, attentive service, and a relaxed, romantic ambiance, Broken Bit Steakhouse is a must-visit. Highly recommend!"
