"Friendly service the women are all very sweet here fresh food and you get it in a timely manner."
"Friendly staff. I have tried their tostilocos, tostielote, diablito de mango, and their agua fresca de fruta mixta. All have been great! Can't wait to try some more goodies."
"I live this place! For 2 reasons. #1 Ice It Up opened early for the children at my school to have a little treat. I spoke with the owner about bringing my children over for a field trip and he opened at 9am just for them. He is the nicest guy and cares about making his customers happy! The children loved all their flavors! It nice to know there are still businesses out there that care enough to keep their customers happy at any cost . # 2 I'm thankful that Ice It Up provides sugar free flavors Grape, apple, watermelon and strawberry. I will be sad in October when it closes, until then I shall continue my sugar free addiction! Thank you Ice It up!"
"I've found the prescription for beating the Bakersfield summer heat blues - an icy cold Sno Shack sno cone! Yes, they're back - the ubiquitous (at least during the summer months) sky blue A-frame shacks with their red, orange, and yellow stripes. The shape always makes me think of the little houses that the British Palace Guards stand outside wearing those ridiculously tall furry black hats. Only somehow I think it would be much easier to get the workers here to smile. It doesn't get much better than this. I do so love my shaved ice snow cones - though don't be worried, they come in flat bottom styrofoam cups, not those paper cones with pointed bottoms that are so impossible to set down! There are 87 flavors and 9 super flavors that can be combined to please even the pickiest child or adult and they come in three different sizes: small $2.50, medium $3.00, and avalanche $4.00. I just left this location with a 1/2 pineapple daiquiri, 1/2 strawberry margarita and I am in hog heaven - even though the brain freeze is causing actual physical pain as I type with the right eye squeezed shut. FYI - the one-eyed squint does not actually help one cope with the pain, but it at least makes me feel like I am being pro-active.The only negative is that neither of the Sno Shack locations I've been to in Bakersfield had sugar free flavors. I went to their website, snoshack.com, and they do carry a sugar free sugar water made with agave that the franchisees can purchase. How about it Bako Sno Shack peeps, will you step up to the plate and make us at least 3 or 4 sugar free flavors?"
"We have been here on several occasions pre-Covid and now during. They have adjusted their establishment greatly to abide by guidelines including no indoor dining, plexiglass barrier when ordering, waiting outdoors for your orders and staff wearing ppe. We LOVE just about everything they serve and that they are constantly growing their menu. Dole whip. 15/10 will eat again lol."
"My wife and I have been coming here since we were kids. This family owned and operated establishment never disappoints. Our favorite has to be the smurf (bubblegum) with ice cream on the bottom and whipped cream on top. They have many other flavors to choose from as well. Some of my other choices are coconut and cinnamon. It's nice to have an ice cold treat on a hot day!"
"I grew up eating Sno Fun in Delano and now that we have relocated to McFarland Rufy's Raspados y Algo Mas is the next best thing. They are a little shack located on Perkins Ave. They are open everyday and have everything from raspados naturales, shaved ice, ice cream, aqua frescos, elotes, papa, fruit picada, coco loco, coco mix, and more! I have been here a couple of times to satisfy cravings of a mangonada and elote. The workers are very nice and they accept card; they also have an ATM machine located on the side of their building."
"By far BEST in town. The ice is sooo soft, sounds weird but you have to try it. The owners are great. ALWAYS start good conversation & are extra nice when I have the kiddos with me. my fav: tigers blood; creamsicle, ANNNNNDDD to make it even better they now sell mini tajins!!!!"
"Coco Loco is a small, fantastic food/drink truck hustling out at the Gas 4 Less parking lot in Bakersfield, California. For $6.00 I got a refreshing Mangonada! Mangonadas are a spicy, sweet, tad sour (YES! all that at the same time) slushy smoothie that is typical in Mexico, if you didn't know. My Mangonada consisted of crunchy, slightly sweet mango, mango juice, blended ice, chamoy sauce (savory Mexican condiment made of pickled fruit typically), possibly tajin and tasty tamarind straw. Visually appealing and my taste buds were doing a happy dance too. Shade covering while you wait. It was 100F degrees out here, so this smoothie is absolutely perfect. Come get one here, if you're in the area and support small businesses."
"Absolutely love this shave ice truck! The owner is super cool, friendly and informative. We stopped by after practice and my kids had a ball deciding what flavors they were gonna get. What a cool idea to put the flavors on the outside of the truck. Why does it always seem there isn't enough flavor when you get shave ice?? Not here! . You can hire them for birthday parties and events. Will definitely be visiting again and would love to have them at my kids parties!"

Came by last night for the 1st time with my lil girl. Its really small and you barely notice this place. My children spotted it and wanted to try it. So we drove up to this place it has lots of parking. The gentlman working was really nice and friendly. So we ordered 2 one was watermelon and bubblegum on the next. They were both delicious and worth every bite. I recommend this place for the cheap price.

First time at this place since I seen it so many times. Decided to stop. Walked up and saw the many flavors was on the board. I just could not figure out what flavors I wanted until I saw special flavors which were spongebob, Darth Vader, etc. Decided to get a med Darth Vader, which came out somewhat purple blackish. The girl was great in preparing my snow cone. It came out perfectly and it had enough syrup and did not spill anywhere while I was eating and driving at the same time. First time in a long time to get a snow cone.

I tried to give it another chance because the product is so good. Long story short: They don't wear their masks (see photo). They also offer curbside pickup but don't offer to go lids or packaging. Non-styrofoam ice cream pint packaging would be great.

Its right on the corn with a. Small parking lot and a couple tables with umbrellas if you decide to eat your plunder there. We took ours home so they gave us a little box for everything. We ordered two mangonadas, two mixed fruit cups (you can pick and choose what type of fruit or everything), talkis with nacho cheese and an elote. It was a little more than 40 for everything. Not a long wait at all. Maybe 5 minutes. They give you a lot and there is a huge menu to choose from. You can get something for everyone, tostilocos or nachos to cut up fruit or agua frescas and ice cream. A great summer time treat.

The heavens opened and shined down on this little shack perched on the corner of Belle Terrace and Stine Road, selling the most refreshing bits of ice to have grazed my blessed tongue! "Tiger's blood" sounds grotesque but I dare you to come and taste the flavor of something that will have you grinning like a Cheshire cat. You won't regret it, my friend. 10/10 I recommend any assortment of flavors, you won't be disappointed.Don't come empty handed: Cash only!

"Snow Fun! This place brings back so many memories from when I was a kid! I remember when all the cousins would be at my grandparents house in Delano and we'd all wash cars to buy snow cones! The ice is so soft and perfect for shave ice. It reminds me of classic Hawaiian shave ice you typically only find on the Hawaiian islands. My favorite flavors are the strawberries and cream snow cone as well as a half guava half Hawaiian shave ice. Every time I am with a friend and somewhat near the area or am driving past on the freeway i always have to stop here. Everything is so affordable and delicious I definitely would recommend this place to anyone in the area or passing by."
"Seriously, EFF snow cones...To anyone that that tries to pass off a snow cones as Hawaiian shaved ice should have their snow cone shoved up any orifice below their waist...Hawaiian shaved ice is a beautiful, fluffy experience that has a wonderful effect on your tongue...Snow cones are coarse, crunchy crap that you get at second rate fairs...Tutu's is the only place I've been to that still does Hawaiian shaved the way it's supposed to...Light, fluffy and HUGE...They don't skimp on the syrup either...If I can recommend a flavor, I'd have to go with blackberry...Experiment...Play around...The Dole whip is also a wonderful palate cleanser that is just amazing...Whipped pineapple soft serve is probably the best way to describe it, but I would say the best way to know it is to experience it...They also have ice cream brought in from Hawaii...Being that I was stationed in Hawaii and I trolled around to get as fat as possible before I returned to the states, I must say that Hawaiian ice cream is super rich compared to their mainland counterparts...White chocolate, coconut and macadamia nuts? Yes please...Did I mention they have free Wi-Fi?I could hang out here all day...Ask about the hall of fame...If I didn't have to worry about living for the next few years, I'd be on that wall already..."
"Inattentive staff - their phone was more important than helping customers. When we finally ordered we were disappointed with the flavor. Save your money."
"Delicious and an insane amount of menu options!I had Esquite Loco and an Agua de Sandia. BombWill make sure to stop by - except on Saturday - anytime I'm even close to Delano"
"The appearance of the trademark sky blue a-frame shacks with their red, orange, and yellow stripes and refrigeration units out behind them mean I'm going to be able to find relief from yet another hot dry Bakersfield summer.I love me some shaved ice snow cones! These come in three sizes: small $2.50, medium $3.00, and avalanche $4.00. This location boasts 87 flavors and 9 super flavors that can be combined to form so many different combinations. The last time I was at this location I ordered 1/2 guava 1/2 mango. Yummy - and icy, too!Beware of brain freeze, though. It's a killer!"
"Simple and delicious shaved ice I love it! I've been going to this little stand for many years and I've always enjoyed getting a refreshing shaved ice in this Bakersfield heat. The shaved ice itself is very smooth and it melts in your mouth. They have a variety of flavors to choose from and they taste good. It is also very cheap which is a plus. I believe they only accept cash so make sure to take cash!"
"This little shaved ice shack is on wheels; it's hitched to an SUV in the Valley Plaza parking lot( on the Target side closer to the street next to the GET bus terminal). I'm sure they get most of their business from the bus terminal since it's so close. The owner says he's open from 10am to 10 pm everyday, for how long I don't know. It was very clean though, and nicely organized. I got the $4 cup of half peach/half cherry which was about 18oz, I can't remember exactly how many ounces lol but I'm almost sure 18. The flavor to me, I felt needed more syrup over the ice, so I would advise you taste it before leaving cause it took a little digging with my straw before I got to some flavor and sweetness. Overall I really love Sno Biz, Sno Shack is cool, but if I passed by here at Snowies' I guess I still would give them another try."
"We always order online for delivery and honestly they prep our order perfect and with care every time The helado de agua is amazing A MUST TRY"
"Tony's Shaved Ice is the best! Tony is such a wonderful person! He's so friendly and always making the kids smile. Each snow-cones has a special treat at the bottom! Great for kids and even adults! He even has some with fresh fruit on top! Simply the best!!!Some are great for margaritas...just at tequila! He has one that's a bloody mary...It's delicious by itself or with vodka!!"
"This place is fun. The colors, the murals, the mangonadas! I felt like a kid, so excited to be sitting in a booth that is upholstered in bright watermelon colors. Of course the whole family loved it. There is something delicious for everyone. And seriously, the best mangonada I have ever had. The most wonderful balance of sweet and spicy with fresh mango on top. I couldn't eat it all in one sitting so I put it in the freezer & it was just as good the next day. I want another right now."
"We come here all the time, the staff is always friendly and we're never disappointed. The prices are fair and the portions are good. We always get the large shaved ice, don't have a favorite as they're all really good. They always have new flavors posted on the wall, I try to get the new ones everytime we come in. It's so nice to get shaved ice all year long and not have to wait for the fair. Especially in this heat it's nice to have this place here in town. Definitely a hidden gem!"
"BEST raspados (shaved ice) in Kern! Worth the trip to Lamont. It's a must if you're in town. The older guy who works it is so nice and works fast. The prices are great. $2 for a small, $3 for a medium, and $4 for a large. He has a variety of traditional flavors like bubblegum and strawberry, but what makes this place great is that he has "natural flavors" where you actually have pieces of the fruit mixed in, those are the ones you have to try."
"On our way driving from LA, a friend and I stopped here. It was right off the freeway easy to find. Parking was good. The business seemed family owned. Everything was fresh and priced reasonably. The service was fast and it was a very clean shop. After we got our order there was a flood of people that came in and seating was limited but it was all so yummy, must try !"
"The food is fresh and delicious, no matter what you order. The Poke bowl is personal favorite, but the burgers are also amazing and the salads are fresh. Don't forget to grab an ice cream or shake on your way out - they also have a walk up window if you don't want to sit inside. This place is a local favorite, and is also run by kernville locals who have done a lot for the community. The food, the atmosphere, and the community are all top notch. You don't want to miss out on this place!"
