"A few weeks back I had to get new pictures for my business cards. Seeing as I had never used a professional photographer for self portraits (#selfiemaster) I went ahead and emailed a few locations to see what kind of pricing was available. One of the first people I emailed was Misty. I remember seeing some of her work on Instagram and I also noticed her attractive studio while visiting La Costa at the Ice House.I emailed about 5 different locations and Misty got back to me within an hour or so. I was very delighted with her prompt response. She told me her pricing, which seemed reasonable, but I didn't need a huge package. Fortunately, she was able to cater to my minimal needs for a reasonable price. Based off her attitude and work ethic for such a small job, I know that I will definitely be contacting her when I need a bigger job done. You can tell she is passionate about her work. During the photo shoot Misty was funny, charismatic, and very personable. I enjoyed talking to her while taking my photos. All my smiles were natural and not forced thanks to her. The studio is splendid. It looks very artsy and professional at the same time. I love the Ice House look to it. It's perfect. I felt like I was in a modern studio in Los Angeles. You can tell Misty has got good taste and really knows how to decorate. From the product to the ambiance to the customer service and Misty's personality, I walked away a very happy customer. I know she will continue to do great work and I highly recommend her to all."

"Dennis Walman was the most professional and most patient photographer I have ever worked with. My boyfriend and I wanted a family photo of us and our 4 dogs, yes....4 dogs. We have a Bernese Mountain Dog puppy (less than 5 months), a 2 year old Dalmatian, a 4 year old Labrador, and an 11 year old Chihuahua. We knew this would probably be tricky, but we had NO clue how tricky it really was. Our Dalmatian escaped into the lake about 5 times, my Chihuahua bit our Bernese, it was a mess. I was convinced there was NO way he could get a good (let alone GREAT) shot. When I saw the pics, it brought tears to my eyes. He captured all 4 dogs, in a great position, great lighting, and he made us all look great. He is patient and fair, I would recommend him to anyone. It was a pleasure working with him. "My husband and I are expecting our first child, a boy, and since we couldn't have a gender reveal party or a baby shower we still wanted to do something memorable to remember these precious times of our pregnancy. So my great husband surprised me by taking me to Santa Barbara for the day and then the cherry on top was that he hired a photographer, Mike, for a private photo shoot by the beach. Mike was extremely professional. He showed up on time and suggested a few locations along the coast, one of which was the Butterfly Beach and it was the perfect spot. He had all of his gear with him, and got right down to business. He is such a visionary and we immediately knew he's a true pro because he would see a rock and would guide us in positioning ourselves in a way that the pose looks both nice and natural at the same time. Photo shoots can sometimes feel a bit forced and a drag but not with Mike. He was talking to us and sharing stories with us the whole time. It was both entertaining and made the whole experience a lot more relaxed and natural. And the cherry on top was that we got all of our photos back within days so the thrill of that experience was still fresh and we were so delighted once we saw the finished photos. He captures amazing and authentic moments. I highly highly recommend Mike to anyone that wants a photo shoot for literary anything. We already know that Mike will do our baby's photo shoot once he's born and all the other previous times in our lives we would like to be captured."

"Michael and Cindy are lovely and know exactly what they are doing. They were so kind to assist me in getting family portraits done at the last minute as my previously booked photographer (to remain nameless) in town flaked on me at the last minute. They do their photos in their backyard studio, and while the location was initially somewhat off putting, I've never had a more pleasant experience EVER. Even my husband who is hard to please and hates getting pictures done, enjoyed himself. They are very experienced and the pictures turned out fantastic!!! They allow you to view the pictures after the shoot right away and you get to choose which ones you like best and to make changes if any are necessary. You do have to pay extra for the digital files, but this experience was worth it, and they are worth every dime. We will definitely use them again in the future!!!"

Totally didn't expect it, but makeup by a professional artist was included in her photography package. "My son recently took his senior pictures here. This was the first time here because my oldest did his senior pictures at the other guys. When we drove up we didn't see it at first since it's a small building, but once we hit that u-turn we were able to see it. We were prompt and came at the correct time of our appointment, but when we got there they were shooting a students picture and there was another student waiting inside. We probably waited about 10-15 min before they started on my son's photo shoot, but that's not bad considering other places take longer.The guys taking the pictures were pretty quick. They took him to different areas of the lot to get different backgrounds and poses. Several of my son's pictures came out good and I loved them. The guys were professional and very polite. I was in shock to see some of the negative reviews only because we were treated very well. The gal inside was super friendly also and communicated to us that there was another student in front of my son and was informative on how the ordering was going to be like and what to expect when the pictures were done.I really liked this place. If you're trying to find it, don't drive too fast or you'll miss it like we did. There's not a huge amount of parking space, so just know it's limiting parking and make sure to come at your scheduled time so you don't mess with someone else's photo shoot. I'm glad Stockdale High School was able to get this company, I liked the way the staff was and their professionalism. I would recommend them!"
