We had a big group, 25 people, and Trisha, and a few others (I didn't get there names sorry) just all came through and Super Womened our entire group. Great food, great team work, everything was fresh and correct, and as always a great atmosphere!We sat outside, they had large coolers which we didn't need because the Oct. weather was great, they turned on the club lights (around sunset), brought an outdoor speaker which we were able to Bluetooth connect to and play our own playlist, and the did the happy birthday song with cake thing, and they took plenty of pictures of our group with our phones. "After seeing the positive reviews, Poke Land seemed promising, but boy was I wrong. I ordered a build your own regular bowl, which comes with three scoops of fish. For protein, I opted for all salmon, but what I got was no more than one scoop of salmon if that. The tray of rice was spaced out and not even full. Rice was hard and lumpy and the fish was cut into such small pieces. Also, the salmon did not look fresh at all. I placed my order online and had arrived well after the time that was listed for picking up the order only to find out it was not even ready or made yet. For almost $20 I got very skimpy portions with fried onion sprinkled out to make it seem like there's a decent amount, but if you look at the bowl you will see how it's not full. The bowl had no taste or flavor and there was little to no sauce at all. It felt like I was eating plain tasteless fish with white rice. Even with the skimped out rice, I ended up finishing all of the salmon and still had plain white rice left. Wanted to like this place, but I think I'll just stick with my usual go to spots for poke in SoCal. At least I know I'll get what I paid for along with high quality taste. Of all places I came across this one, but never again."

Yeah, damn long time.Back in those days, we would all go out to Inyokern for a great meal at Indian Wells Lodge. It was a little bit of a drive out of town, but well worth it. This time I knew I would be too tired to do that, but next time, for sure.So, what has changed in Ridgecest over the past 44 years? Not much, except more escapees from the LA Metro area. Same dusty, wind blown, hot as hell location in the high desert. Same salt of the earth residents and former military families just trying to survive. That is the attraction of this area. Plenty of No-BS people, unlike the cesspool of LA and Orange Counties. Refreshing to spend time around these unpretentious folks.You can see the meal in the pics. Jealous? You should be. I topped it off with a Margarita for dessert. Angelberto was my server, and he was welcomed by many other regulars tonight.Eat your hearts out, people. The place has updated over the years to look more modern, but for the most part it still looks the same.For my 20th year wedding anniversary 5yrs ago I ordered some lechon & pompano for my kamayan and it was delicious. My favorite fish is pompano and they sell the fried big ones or the fried smaller ones at a good price. If you're worried about trying Filipino food, you should check it out because they have the food out like Panda Express and you can just point w your finger or your lips haha.We haven't gotten food this year yet, but we should be visiting soon. In 2023 we've probably ordered take out several times since we're always craving dinuguan. The pinakbet was bomb, but my only gripe was that they only gave a few pieces of meat and I wanted more bite.Staff is not always super friendly.
