"I am sitting in the restaurant as I write this review. This place doesn't look like much, but you will be impressed by their food. This is my third time here in less than a month. Our first visit we happened to order fried yucca with chicharones: it was the best my wife and I have ever had in the US. We ordered the same thing on our second visit and it wasn't as delicious as our first visit, but it was still pretty good. I came in tonight, hoping to repeat my first experience here. We have also enjoyed the fajitas and the pupusas. I think their pupusas are amongst the best in Bakersfield. I ordered two of those for dinner tonight (and it's likely I will have one leftover for lunch tomorrow.)This place is worth the visit."

"Y'all! DON'T SLEEP ON THIS! Best pupusas in town! Best Salvadoran tamals in town!I stumbled on this place while checking to see if there were any "new" pupusa spots in the area. I am so happy I didn't turn around when the directions led me into a parking lot for a car wash. Came in and was greeted warmly. Service was great. There are about 5 tables inside and luckily for me, I was able to grab an empty one. Vibe I ordered 1 chicken tamal, 1 shrimp pupusa, 1 chicharron pupusa, plantains & beans, and a horchata. My bill, before tip, was $23! The chicken tamal was amazing! This little Salvadoran restaurant is fire! Definitely worth the drive for this!"

"So my girlfriend took me here because she said she used to come here in her childhood and I'm so glad she took me for the papusas. They were sooo good. So apparently there's three styles (queso :just cheese, mixsta: beef, cheese and beans, she forgot the name of the third one but it's frijoles y queso (beans and cheese) ). We got mixta and put some cortido( mixture of vegetables)on top and the server gave us some salsa. Sadly I didn't get any pictures because I was to excited to eat but we got one each because we weren't too hungry and they were ONLY 5.50 WHICH IS AN ABSOLUTE STEAL. Overall I'd definitely recommend the papusas given I haven't tried anything else. Just a bummer it's so far away from where I live though."

From the little window, you can watch the senora making the food fresh. We got the pupusa especial (two pupusas and rice and beans), an extra pupusa, the quesadilla pan dulce, and a jamaica.We got a revuelta (pork and cheese), frijole (bean and cheese), and loroco (squash blossom and cheese). Of the three, the s tier was the loroco. It's has an almost meaty flavor and is super flavorful. The cabbage and salsa were also tasty. The quesadilla pan dulce is like a corn pound cake. It's really yummy!!This is a nice stop on your way between the bay and la. There's a covered picnic area that is nice. There are only hand washing stations, but there are a lot of gas station around it, so you can wash your hands and use the restroom around here!! Highly recommend this as a stop!!"

"Got there around 4 pm and was greeted by Jimena. I was given the choice of any table because there was only one other family. When ordering I asked Jimena her opinion on the "Happy Hour" appetizers and was guided to try the yuca and chicharrón. Definitely recommend it. The yuca was not soft but not overly cooked. The crunch on them was perfect. The outer core of the chicharrón was crispy but the inside was very juicy. I also had 2 pupusas revueltas. I only finished one and the other became my dinner. The Pupusa was full of flavor and was not greasy. The curtido was also very fresh and had a chilled sweet pleasant spicy taste to it."

"If you're looking for good homemade pupusas that are filling, this is the place to go. Vos Pupusas is homemade fast food style housed in a restaurant. We stopped by for dinner on a Monday after work and almost all the tables were full. We ordered pupusas and an appetizer. The pupusas are large and one was more than enough for me. Everything was made fresh to order and the cabbage was delicious! The service was good even though they were busy. I didn't feel like we were being rushed out either when we had finished eating. They're located outside of the mall by chipotle and there's plenty of parking. There was one drawback, if I didn't have someone with me who spoke English there might have been a language barrier. I will come back when I have a pupusas craving!"

They're the best around town and people know it. Tita's used to have an actual restaurant way in the back AND a food truck in front of AM/PM, but the restaurant didn't offer much more. The restaurant isn't there anymore, but the food truck still is. Anyway, the ambiance of the food truck is way better. Open outside seating under a shaded covering. Which means dog friendly!These are the best pupusas ever!! Why?1. They are grilled to crispy perfection.2. They are FATTIES, loaded with gooey cheese and filling.3. The dough to filling ratio is perfect. The dough isn't too thick or dense.Calabaza Pupusa (Squash) 5/5*Loroco Pupusa (Loroco Flower) 5/5*I can never remember which one I like more, so I always order both! Both are extremely cheesy and will ooze out once you cut into it. There are nice bits of squash or loroco flower that give some texture. The flavor is on the bland side, but paired with curtido and salsa, it's perfecto..Revuelta Pupusa (Chicharron) 4/5*These aren't the fat chunks of chicharron you eat as a snack. It's minced down and scattered throughout the cheese and isn't very strong in pork flavor. However, you do get a bit of saltiness that you don't get in the Calabaza or Loroco. Not my favorite but it's the only pupusa choice with meat.Tacos 5/5*These street tacos come with handmade fluffy, soft corn tortillas, loaded with your choice of protein, the works-cilantro, onion, with sides of lime, radish, red salsa, and a green guacamole type salsa. I got the tripa and asada and both were juicy with great flavors.Sausage Breakfast Burrito 5/5*I thought this would be subpar, but wow was it satisfying! It was huge and evenly distributed, so you get a good mouthful of all ingredients in each bite. The flour tortilla was soft and meat wasn't dry.As soon as you place your order, you hear the ladies inside the truck slapping them around, so you know they're made fresh to order. The pupusas come out SO hot and crispy, once you cut into one, the scalding hot gooey cheese oozes out and burns a layer of your lips off. But it's soo worth it. Cool it down with the sweet & sour refreshing crunch of curtido, slather on some spicy salsa, and you have the perfect bite.Next time you're passing Buttonwillow, do your tastebuds a favor and try these amazing pupusas. The exit isn't very obvious with the signage so probably best to Google Maps your way there. There are also two other food trucks around selling pupusas, etc., but don't get confused and make sure you're going to Tita's. You can tell which one by the crowds of folks eating at the tables."

It was my first dine at this restaurant and it was delicious.The buttery notes I detected in the Papusas were quite a surprise. I wanted more but I could only eat two! Their Papusas are modestly priced at 2 Papusas for $6 served with cabbage, chips and salsa. The owner, who is a delightful man named Jose created the Papusas fresh, and also made me a Michelada. Now, I am very selective on Michelada's. There is really only one place that I love and trust to make a Michelada authenticate. I have to say he did it! Michelada with a touch of flame flavor, to lemony notes, tamarindo, and clamato served with a premium beer. And here's the surprise... At a small cost of only $5.95! I usually pay $8 at the other restaraunt I love. I give this place a YES! I will definately be back."
