They have a treasure of amazing knowledge and always take their time with their customer. This is crème de la crème service at its finest. We feel comfortable asking questions, and genuinely enjoy good conversation while being educated on the variety of plants and trees for our yard. They have a variety of options to choose from with a far greater price than many nurseries in the area. The value is fantastic and I would highly recommend checking out Leo's nursery if you're in the need of your next tree, landscaping project or plants!"

Gerry C. "I need to replace some dead trees and found this listing. The former Cooper's Nursery is again occupied. I got there a little after 8:00 AM. The other nurseries did not open till 9:00. As I drove by I noticed the property was full of trees. I drive it unsure where to park. I was the only one!I walked around to check out the trees. Eventually this man approached me and asked if I had any questions. I asked him about shade trees, trees with non invasive roots. I also wanted a few flowering plums trees. They were priced at $45.00. Not knowing what trees cost these days, I thought of driving to 2 other nurseries to get an idea. I mentioned to him, I live a mile away and will be back to get some trees. This nursery was short on ground covers and annual flowers. They had a lot of trees and shrubs.Next stop was this nursery on Allen Road. Hmm, it was crowded and I barely found a spot to park. I asked to see some trees and was directed towards the back. Wow, same trees in the same pot cost $20+ more! This nursery sure had a lot choices for annuals, shaded plants like the Japanese Maple. Last stop, a nursery on Norris Road. Not as expensive compared to my 2nd stop. Not much tree selection but definitely had a lot of ground covers, annuals and shrubs. If you are looking for trees to plant here in Bakersfield, Monte Vista is the nursery. Cheapest price for healthy trees."

Hands down best shop I've come across for succulents and perennials. Even just walking around and looking is worth it; very therapeutic. The owner travels everywhere to find plants for her shop. McKenzie S. "I'm so glad I finally stopped into this secret garden - after years and years of passing by.Cricklewood is a true secret garden and total Oasis in the city of Bakersfield. Located on Brundage Road you may never have paid it any attention. Blink and you'll miss it! The parking lot is pretty tight and non-existent but visit during the weekend and you'll have extra space in front of the print-shop that isn't open. You can always parking in the side street too. When we arrived it was pretty busy. The garden is small, narrow, and tight in many places which can be uncomfortable for some and may be difficult for children or those with mobility issues. In fact, wheelchair accessibility may be rough since much of the ground is uneven. Just take note!We were able to meander around and check everything out. Everywhere you looked there was something to see. There was even a large greenhouse with tons of indoor plants. Need a special planter? This is your spot! They had tons of unique planters in all shapes and sizes. All with really great prices that rival any big box store.Inside their gift shop is like a transport back into time. Everything about it is cozy and inviting. I could have easily made myself at home in their comfy chairs with a cup of tea and a good book.I was able to purchase a gorgeous bromeliad for my mother-in-law on for Mother's Day and will definitely be returning to explore more. I am tired of places not protecting customers. I even asked the cashier if she was afraid when people come in without a mask. She replied, "I don't even think of it". We bought 20 roaches and one pinky would have bee maybe 6$ at Tehachapi Pet Lodge. I paid 15.01 for this small amount. If you need feeder I recommend buying online, extremely over priced here. This review is based on the overpricing of feeders and not protecting customers. I have never bought plants or flowers."

Inside is filled with pretty pots and houseplants, and outside has a nice selection of various well-tended plants for landscaping, flower beds or even a vegetable garden. Far from feeling lost in some warehouse big box chain garden center, here I found just the right plants, not more nor less. Being a novice, I was grateful for the helpful answers to my questions. I needed four different color flowers for my 1/2 barrel containers. Do you have these? Yes, we have some on your list and some very similar. Will these plants thrive in this tough climate? Yes, they fit this hardiness zone for both frost and heat. Are they perennial? Yes, they will come back well each year. 15 minutes later, they're in the ground, looking good and I'm feeling much more confident that I can do this!"

Anastasia L. "So this is a two part review because I had a two part experience with Zack's. I recently had a miscarriage and we wanted to memorialize the loss of our baby with a Jacaranda tree. After my surgery my husband surprised me with our tree, which he had purchased from Zacks. It's a newer place in town and he knows I'm big on shopping local. He told me he had called different places and this was the only one that offered delivery for that day and it was very important to him he had the tree for right after my surgery. He explained the situation to an employee there, Heather. Upon delivery she included a gift of succulents for me since my husband had told her how much I love plants, specifically succulents. It was such a kind gesture and meant so much to me when I came home. Thank you for your thoughtfulness during such a rough time A few weeks later I went back to Zacks with my husband because I wanted to see everything in person. They had a great selection of plants both inside and out. There were a lot more outdoor plants and trees than houseplants. However, the indoor plant section was still nice sized. There were racks of succulents everywhere! I was able to meet Heather in person and thank her for my gift. She then told me about the succulent parties you can book in their building for after hoursI included photos of their cute little succulent party area in this review and she gave me a few basic details. The price is $25 - 30 per person with a minimum of 5 people. This price includes any pot for $12 or under and 5 succulents - 3 small + 2 big. You can also choose between a bottle of wine or something else to drink. You can bring snacks if you want and just hang out and plant together! Sounds like so much fun! Call for more details and specifics. Show this new local plant shop some much deserved love!"

He did not hesitate to drive us back and forth, showing us many different options before we made our decisions. There are so many great options and varieties. The staff is very knowledgeable and was able to offer suggestions based on what we liked. We are very happy with all of our trees. We ended up getting 2 varieties of Japanese Maples, an October Glory Maple, a multi-stem white natchez crape myrtle, and several tiny towers. We have sent family members there and they have been very happy as well. Highly recommend and look forward to going back for the next set of trees."

I like browsing through all the plants and trees, but coming to Bolles is dangerous for the pocketbook. They carry so many plants, flowers, and trees that tempt my wife too much. She seriously wants so much from here!I'm proud of her, though, because she has always been able to stick to our budget every visit we make to Bolles. This nursery is not the cheapest in town. In fact, they are a bit more on the pricier side. I find the service and staff to be better at Bolles than the competition, though. Also, the selection here is awesome. If you cannot find what you are looking for at Bolles, then most likely you are not going to find it anywhere else in town. I'm sure they could probably order what you want too. They aim to please."

Tehachapi Lawn and Garden Equipment services/repairs chain saws, mowers and other two cycle type farm/landscaping equipment. I've been in this shop several times in as many years, helping my pal with his riding mower which he gets serviced here, from time to time. My buddy also has the shop service his chain saws, of which he has several and uses A LOT throughout the year. I am very impressed by a couple of things here. Though it would seem that there is not much competition for this shop in Tehachapi, the owner (Jack) and the employees treats everyone who walks through the door like family; Extremely friendly and helpful. Jack, who obviously loves people, must pass on his people skills to the folks that work here, because they are all above and beyond what one finds in "garden" or "tool" stores or in those departments in the big box stores. On Tuesday, we waited for Jack while he was answering question after question from a needy customer. He then went outside to check out the rider/mower we brought to the shop. Of the two issues that my pal thought needed repairing, Jack showed us one issue was a minor fixit and the estimated cost of what my buddy thought needed to be done was about half of what he anticipated it was going to be.Great service from honest, home town, friendly people."

Found one we liked here and bought it right away without shopping anywhere else.I found the pricing a wee bit steep but yards are always expensive to keep looking nice!We went on a Sunday and found the grounds to be much larger than expected!Other large out buildings are there to check out that house a lot of pottery and colorful Mexican imports that serve as decor. No one at all helped us until we went into the office and asked a nice lady to ring us up. At least, very low pressure sales.Delivery and set up was $120. A third of the price of the fountain itself!Still, worth it after seeing that the guys showed up on delivery day even earlier than expected. They also gave us a call for a 20 min heads up that they were coming. They even removed our old fountain upon request for either resale of parts if they want to, or for trash. They worked quickly, cleanly and were polite/professional.The whole transaction was very smooth and the fountain looks and operates great!I would return for other purchases and recommend this family owner business."
