"Everything about this place was outstanding. The owner is so nice, and she makes the magic happen. Homemade noodles made with love. There was nothing that wasn't just perfect. Portions are big, you will definitely have leftovers. Worth every penny. This place is busy from the moment it opens. If you haven't been here, I highly recommend it. Very clean and inviting. *Tonight the special was the cauliflower risotto and the seafood pasta1-13-24"
"Food is delicious and fresh here. Was craving something simple and tasty so here I am (again). Lucky for me they have a few locations in Bakersfield so I am not too far from one. The wrap comes with hummus and tahini, lettuce, tomatoes, and sliced pickles. I'm ordered a side of the garlic sauce to pump up the flavor and also added a few peppers. Enjoy!"

"Still the same great place we love when we are in town. The food is fresh and well made. We were able to get a child's shrimp over rice for my mother in law and she ate 2/3 of it. So she really liked it. And I liked my gyro and my husband loved his souvlaki. And you meet the coolest people there while you're waiting."
"Omg we found this place a couple years ago and dive out of our way just to eat hereArtbyjo documenting America, 8 years touring America and 5 times around. This the best restaurant in America"
"We ate here at 10/19/24 approximately between 8:10pm to 9:35pm. My friend and I had the worst experience here. We waited over 40mins for our food. My friend order a pasta with chicken and I ordered a vinaigrette salad with goat cheese.Other people that arrived later got their food before us. When we asked our server Hannah S where our food was, she said there was an evening rush of people. It was a busy evening, though from the moment sat down to the moment we left, there was not very many people there. My friend would constantly try to make contact with any of the staff so we could get help, and no one came. Our server Hannah S. made this excuse that her chicken was needing to be defrosted and it took 15 mins to defrost and it is almost an hour before we got our food. And that is why it is taking long. She said that my salad was done and all she was waiting for was my friend's pasta and chicken. First off, as a customer I would not want to know my chicken is frozen and being defrosted.Shortly after, we spoke to our server again about the delay, our food magically appeared. My friend's pasta was not really warm. It tasted like it had been sitting there for a bit.My salad obviously looked like it was just made. We didn't get our silverware till right before our food came. This makes it seem like our order was not placed or they were discriminating toward us especially since we were the only Asians there. At this point of us waiting for so long for our food, it should have been at least comped for the inconvenience. As guests of visiting the city of Visalia, we are disappointed at the quality of food and customer service. This is not a good representation of the restaurants here. Not sure why there is this many positive yelp reviews. And don't get me wrong I seldom post bad reviews, but this was one I had to share."
"I know the place is fairly new to the location, but there wasn't any signage outside. The inside had very minimal decorations. It had a cafeteria vibe to it. Hopefully more effort will be put into the overall ambiance. My order took about 15 minutes to get, but I understand. As mentioned by many other people, the food is served in take away containers with plastic utensils. The food was tasty and I enjoyed it. I was full and satisfied."
"This is the second time I ate here. This time the rice was cooked perfectly and everything was great. We wanted to try the Dubai chocolate which is what brought us in. I think next time I would get the chicken kabob dinner option as it comes on a kabob and I feel would be more flavorful and juicy that way and then just share it since it is a large portion. The kids are picky so daughter had cheeseburger which she said was good and other use the coconut shrimp and absolutely loved it. Definitely will be coming back."
"I had to be in Palmdale for an event and wanted to stop by a place real quick for a bite. Found this gem. The owner, Jerry, was super friendly and kind. The food was delicious! The plate had everything I wanted on it. I couldn't ask for anything more."
"Nice, new (as of mid-'23) little place inside Village Mall in downtown Kingsburg, where there are also some cute gift, children's, and garden shops. This is counter ordering with limited seating in the area and a little more in the mall hallway - quiet for our weekday lunch but might be less so when busy. No problem - just take out, because the food is worth it.I had a chicken shawarma plate so tasty I didn't even need the garlic sauce, and the pilaf was light and fluffy. My companions enjoyed their gyro and chicken wraps, the latter having a little spice kick. Side salads were nothing out of the ordinary, but side French fries were plentiful. The counter worker (possibly the owner) was helpful and attentive. It's a little hard to spot because the only sign outside is for all the shops in the little mall. Just look for the mall sign and head through the door (it feels like you might be entering one of these shops but you're not) and straight to the back - it's well marked. You might evening enjoy the other shops too, as I did."
"I was in Palmdale for some personal business last weekend when I discovered House of Kabob. My overall dining experience was solid, and I would eat here again. Food: Exceptional! The falafels were freshly made. The hummus was smooth and creamy. The salad hit all the elements of a great salad: zesty + textural contrast + crunchy + a small portion of something rich/decadent (feta cheese). Everything on the plate was in perfect harmony. Nom nom.Service: I was promptly greeted upon arrival and the overall service was satisfactory. Ambience: The interior design aesthetic is minimalist with the focus on bringing the outside in through the table arrangements and large, oversized windows. The restaurant is located in a strip mall and is surrounded by cookie cutter big box stores and other local businesses. Since this was my second time in Palmdale, I was primarily people watching and gathering information to assemble an anecdotal community profile for the area (it passed the vibe check)."

This is a sweet little gem in Tehachapi, it feels like you're being served right out of your nonna's kitchen. Their pasta dishes are amazing - they make their own pasta and we always have enough for leftovers for another night of wonderfulness. Also, shoutout to the waitress who is always there, she is incredibly kind, and even got us dessert on the house. If you're looking for a sweet and cozy spot for some incredible pasta, this is the place!

I want to start off by saying that this place has excellent customer service. The gentleman running the register who took my order was extremely friendly. I stopped by on a Saturday afternoon for a late lunch early dinner. I picked up one of their beef kebab bowls although I've had plenty of their wraps, I have never tried one of their beef kebab bowls. The beef kebab was extremely tender and so flavorful. The bowl itself was extremely filling and left me perfectly content at the end of the mealThis place has plenty of seating to accommodate groups if needed.

Great food and customer service. Especially appreciate the nice children high chairs and the butcher block type tables with enough room spaced between tables for customers not to feel overcrowded while dining in.

Good food. Better drinks. Nice cool environment for impressing a date. It's a nice place but you will pay for it. Prices are a little high for what you get but it delivers what you would expect. Worst part is the long walk to the bathroom.

My wife and I really enjoyed the food here. The Shawarma fries were very flavorful. Each bite had a punch of flavor. The Sambosa was good, too. It had a good crunch and was savory. The spicy curry chicken was very spicy. I enjoyed it but my wife didn't. The rice helped balance the spicy flavor. Only down side was there wasn't enough chicken. Would have loved another scoop of chicken. We will definitely come back to try other dishes.

I have a favorite spot however Armani's is closer to home, and I have switched from my usual place to Armani's as quality is comparable to my favorite Calis.

"What a find! We were in Lancaster for a business meeting and found Olives Mediterranean Cafe right in the main street. We arrived right when it it opened and were greeted warmly.Delicious and flavorful is the best way I can describe the dishes here. I love hummus and that is what I ordered to start. Plenty of pita bread followed that I enjoyed.I also ordered the Chicken Kabob and a Falafel which were both superb. I left feeling full and satisfied and happy at the thought that when in Lancaster, there is Olives Cafe!Enjoy your visit."
"Thanks again to the yelp community for a great recommendation! Stopped by here on the way back to LA from Yosemite and it was definitely a worthwhile stop.Walked in to a very clean little place and greeted by 2 lovely sweet ladies. We got the kefta plate and shawarma plate. It comes with 2 sides of choice and there were A LOT of choices! I seriously wanted and can have all the sides as a meal like what urban plate offers. To the owner if you're reading this, can totally offer a 4-5 sides combo or something for those who wanted a lighter salad option meal. We got the tabbouleh, cucumber salad, tzatziki, and eggplants. They lady offered to allow me to mix cauliflower also to try it out which was super generous and let me and they give a generous portion especially for the price. Although I'm comparing to downtown LA and SGV area plus sales taxes. Their garlic spread/sauce is good but a bit less garlicky than Zankou chicken (if you have tried that, that is). But still good. We also couldn't help ourselves and I got cheese fatayer and baklava. The baklava was not overly soaked with syrup which i prefer more and was delicious. Will definitely return whenever traveling this way. Worth the visit!Parking is plenty"
"I ordered food on Sunday Jan 8. 5pm pick up Order. This place is the Bomb!!!! Legit amazing. I got the 1 chicken skewer combo. My hubby got the steak & chicken skewer combo. The food was absolutely delicious. Chicken was juicy and the steak was tender. Rice was fluffy. Salad dressing was so flavorful. Hummus was creamy. We also ordered a side of taziki. Uuuffffff. Bomb!!!I will be coming back again & again. Absolutely delicious. I'd much rather spend $$$ on good quality food and this place had theeee most Amazing food. We will come back again!! A must try!!!Support your local small business."
"The lamb chops are my favorite!! My husband got his favorite Bowtie pasta! Everything was so fresh. The live music on the weekend is so relaxing. Erica's cocktails are so innovative and refreshing! The service is great! Lunch menu is unbelievable! Ive loved this place for over a decade! COME CHECK THIS AMAZING FAMILY OWNED RESTAURANT OUT! STOP EATING AT CORPORATE CHAINS!"
"Tried Zees last night and truly enjoyed our dinner.Service was excellent and the food came out fairly quickly. The decorations are mostly retro signs and posters, tables and chairs inside and out.I had the jalapeño spicy smash burger with bacon. Burger was good but the hot honey sauce was a bit overpowering. It was a bit spicy but mostly sweet. The fries were perfect! Crispy, tasty, and hot.We will be back to try the kebabs and hummus, it looked delicious."
"Was craving an authentic gyro ... was pretty excited to find a place here in Visalia! Very clean inside and staff was very fast with service. Menu had some good options to try. Loved that there are multiple options for gyros. A gyro choice for everyone. Went with the lamb/beef gyro ... omg tasted just like the gyros we had on vacation to Greece. The fries make it even more tasty. The fries aren't overly cooked or limp either; just right. The meat was tender and fresh. You can catch a glimpse of the meat being cooked in the back if you look closely. Would love to come back and try other menu items also."
"Door dashed some chicken kabobs and it was delicious! I asked for extra garlic sauce which is a must. They placed a pepperoncini in the hummus, so I decided to try it out and it was SO delicious once squirted into the hummus. I had never tried that before and it was amazing. Door dash delivery was quick and affordable. I will definitely be a returning customer."
"This Mediterranean place is an absolute treat. Inside it is clean, organized and has great decoration on the walls. The interior has a great aroma that was fresh and mouth watering. Outside is the complete opposite. It kind of reminds me of Nevada, there were tumbleweeds, unsafe territory and although it appears uncomfortable to walk around, there were no crimes nearby. However, at night it can be extra dangerous and scary. The food ordered was the chicken kabob combo, 6 pieces of chicken, which also included jasmine and yellow rice. The sauces ordered were baba ganoush and tzatziki. Another small side was spicy potato. Luckily this was complimentary and was not bad at all. The owner and his wife greeted me and my accomplice as we sat down. Fortunately we were the only customers which meant the wait for our food was shorter than it could be. The customer service was great and I felt safe inside. A large portrait of the Declaration of Independence was shown in front of me. A statue of snoop dogg was inside and two chairs that should be in a hair saloon were in a small corner. An interesting decor that I would otherwise not be able to see in other places. The personality of the man was unique, he was friendly but comedic at times. The negative only included getting our own food at the counter and probably portion to price ratio was off. The price was 22$ and elsewhere Mediterranean food was cheaper but not a lot cheaper. The value was okay. The best part of my meal was the texture of the chicken kabob as it was dipped in a white garlic cheese sauce and a jalapeño green one. The baba ganoush was alright, the tzatziki was fresh tasting. The experience here was outstanding. The only other negative although it was not our concern, was an elderly woman came in and was crying, begging for money because she had a disease and couldn't afford to pay for the medication at a nearby Walgreens. It was scary, but she didn't interact with us, just the owner. It was about 3 minutes and she left with some change. The owner is nice, if he was the Egyptian man as he claimed. The service was good quality and the time to get our order was fairly decent although it could have been faster. It was about a 30 minute wait more or less. I would recommend this place over the house of kebab in terms of flavor, but the price over at house of Kebob has a better value price per quantity. The taste was better here in my opinion, but the Shawarma definitely wins at house of kebob. Overall solid 5/5 experience despite the minor negatives: old woman crying, walk up for food instead of served, price per quantity/value and unsafe environment."
"I'm really bummed I didn't know about this place sooner! I love the customizable options and they even have sampling spoons to try the hummus before committing. There isn't much in the way of ambiance, but it's a delicious meal served by friendly people."
"Pita House is a Clean and casual restaurant. They are family friendly. You can dine in or take out and they do catering. I was early for lunch so not many people in restaurant. They have a Lovely hand painted mural of a Jordan valley & mountains on one of their walls. It has been Family owned since 2011. I had their Melt in your mouth tender & Delicious beef gyro & tzatziki sauce served with house salad of fresh crunchy veggies with house vinaigrette dressing. The portions are Generous. They have beef, lamb or chicken gyro meat for your preference. I highly recommend their food!"
"Have to say when dining this one on Yelp I did not realize it was located in the food court at the mall...DO NOT LET THAT STEER YOI AWAY. I am thankful I didn't know because it may have sent me to someplace else. I have to admit i wasn't excepting much but wow, the flavor and freshness was incredible. I went for the chicken kabob plate that has a delicious salad, rice, pita and chicken. Comes with a nice dipping sauce."
"The owner is a wonderful host and great conversationalist. The entire time we were there, he was chatting with us, telling us about his life and just being a great guy in general. We got the lamb plate and baklava. In a word, scrumptious. Perfect seasoning, perfect grilling, and a new standard to hold others to.We will be going back as soon as we get another craving."
"We are from out of town and our daughter recommended this place. It's small but cozy. We placed our order and when it was served it looked better than the pictures. I had the Gyro plate that comes with rice, cabbage salad and hummus. The gyro meat was nice and warm and the sides tasted really good. Didn't like the roasted tomato but the jalapeño chile was good. Pita bread was a bit hard not soft or warm. Maybe work on the attention to detail when customers have empty drinks but other than that nice little place."
"Pita Kabob and Grill (aka PK) was one of the best restaurants during our visit to Visalia. It has the feel of a large gastropub attached to an outside beer garden and grocery store. Mediterranean cuisine is one of our favorite cuisines. No reservations accepted - so just show up!The portions are ginormous. I got the combo lamb kabob and lulu, which is a sausage version of beef-lamb gyro meat. One entree easily feeds two and the meats were so juicy. The sweet potato hummus was novel and great with a subtle hint of sweetness. Wife got the beef kabobs, which were still juicy despite cooked medium well. Salad, pita, and rice pilaf were all excellent sides. For the kids, you can't go wrong with chicken kabobs with pita and fries. Greek and Mediterranean restaurants seem to crank out amazing fries for some reason - long, thicker cut and crispy. Maybe its because you have so many different dipping options besides ketchup. The chicken is slightly peppery, so watch out."
