"Went here on a Saturday night. The place was empty but I think that's expected as the place is new. As we entered the place smelled like incense which is not my fave lol. As we walked inside it was nice to see a comfy and nice setup. There's benches, pillows and nice lounge expensive looking love seats which were really comfortable. The tables were beautiful too, made out of hard wood. There was music playing and the music playlist was nice, it was jazz. It was a bit loud so it was hard to listen among each others. The wine list was limited which again makes sense because it is a new place. We had the 2019 AXR Napa Valley Chardonnay. The Chardonnay was delicious, well balanced, fruity and refreshing. The glass was $12 or you could get the bottle for $36. We also ordered a charcuterie board which consisted of prosciutto, salami, cold meat that we didn't like because it was cold and fatty but it did have a nice spicy kick to it, 5 different cheeses (Asiago, Brie, cheddar & pepper jack), grapes, walnuts, crackers, jam and honey. That was $50.00. We also ordered water, which it was bottled (Evian) at $4.00 each bottle. While we were there we also played pool in the cozy room they have in there. It was very nice and entertaining. Overall we enjoyed the wine and ambiance and we do look forward to returning in the future. It's a nice place to have in town for sure :0)"
"I'm totally surprised I haven't reviewed CraSh Lounge before, as their food has always been surprisingly good. As of last weekend I've finally been able to try their cocktails. On a suggestion of a friend I ordered a Moscow Mule. Not being something I typically order in places other than Basque spots down in Old Kern, this drink topped them all. Seriously - fresh grated ginger, folks. Fresh! That makes all the difference in these relatively easy made drinks. If you're feeling especially sassy, try the Blueberry Moscow Mule. I hear they even add fresh blueberries if they're in season - yum!And for you Bleu Cheese Stuffed Olive fans, they have those too. So your favorite martini can be made right. Their food menu isn't huge, but there's plenty of yummy meaty and cheesy options to absorb those cocktails. While CraSh isn't open late, it's a great place to start the night with friends. Definitely will be my future first stop when bar hopping DT."
"This REALLY IS a hole in the wall type bar. My friends really like this place, this is their CHEERS(where everybody knows your name) type spot. People smoke like trains in here, but the liquor is cool and the music is not too bad on the weekends. Theres a room full of tall chairs to go with the tables, stools at the bar, female and male restroom, a pool table slash DJ and dance floor area, lol very small, a tv that plays sports and one of those new school juke box music selectors. This place is allllll the way kick back, so dont worry about dressing up too fancy in here. Ive seen flip flops and fresh off work dirty clothes here, they dont care. I would never come here if my friends didn't invite me to come along, so Ive only been here a handful of times to their thousand, but we always have a good time no matter where we are, so you have to personally decide if this is a place for you."
"This is honestly my favorite date night restaurant in Tehachapi. I like that the menu is a little different and unique. Love their cocktails and burgers and even their brunch is delicious. Our favorite is the buffalo cauliflower and the pork belly."
"I really enjoyed the vibe and live music! Super laid back environment. No need to get all dolled up but you can if you want to. Enough room to relax and enjoy your draft beer of choice. Omg do they have lots of choices! Normally when you go and hang out downtown the bathrooms are pretty gross. I gotta say these bathrooms were spotless! Super clean!"
"Traveling out of town and found this spot! Fresh. Spicy and delicious food! The cocktails were super good too!"
"I didn't have a lot of high hopes for Bakersfield...we were there on a day trip and were looking for a place to eat. I have a rule, that the farther you get away from Mexico, the food doesn't taste as good. Go to San Diego, it's great. Go to San Jose, not so much...but what about somewhere in between?El Puesto Cocina & Lounge is located in a somewhat run down strip mall. The windows were blacked out when we parked. It looked abandoned. Then you go inside. Like entering the TARDIS, it's bigger on the inside...full of beautiful decor, wonderfully crafted tables and benches, a giant wall of liquors and spirits, and in the back, a stage/lounge area for some nightlife.Luckily we had come for lunch and were given two options: a la carte menu or the brunch buffet for 15 bucks (not including drinks). An all you can eat Mexican buffet? We said yes to that immediately. The buffet wasn't that big, but it had everything you could want...rice and beans, chorizo scrambled eggs, cheese enchiladas, and then the rest of warming trays were filled with all sorts of stewed meats and veggies. On my first round, I tried a bit of everything and while some were better than others, it was all good. The stand out for me was the shredded beef. Perfectly slow cooked, tender, but falls apart when you touch it with a fork. Along with the gravy/sauce it sits in, it was a great bite.At the end of the buffet line was an older woman making fresh tortillas on a flat top. Sometimes she'd give you one right off the grill, but even the ones that were sitting in the warmer for a few minutes were worthy of high praise. My idea about proximity to Mexico was falling apart, but having an abuela make fresh tortillas remained true.On my first visit to the buffet, I did not notice that the other side of the counter was a taco bar where you could make your own street tacos. They only served carne asada and al pastor, but that was all you needed. Even sitting in a warming tray, the meat was tender and still had that crunchy char from the flat top. The red and green salsas, spicier than expected, offered the right amount of heat and acidity to the savory, good kind of greasiness tacos offer. After a second plate, we were so full, but definitely wanted to come back for more.I had both no expectations and all the expectations about this place and Bakersfield coming into the restaurant and all of those thoughts were completely blown away and unproven. Sometimes, take the leap, try something new, and you'll be rewarded."
"Close and comfortable extraordinary jazz performances & the people are so nice and relaxed"
"Been here a handful of times and love the atmosphere. The kids enjoyed the games that are provided outside. And we get to enjoy our favorite beer from 1852 closer to home. So glad to have a place in our hometown and not have to drive down to Visalia"
"Probably the best if not it's a tie ! Great food fair prices quick friendly service! One of our go to places!"
"The Green Tea Garden has been a beloved establishment in our city for decades, standing strong while many others have sadly closed down. It's a reliable place where I can always count on delicious food and welcoming service. When it comes to ordering, my go-to choices are: the paper wrapped chicken, Kung pao beef, cashew chicken, Green Tea Garden chow mien, and the flavorful black mushroom and bamboo shoots. This combination of dishes allows me to enjoy a delightful mix of flavors and textures. Needless to say, I'm already eagerly anticipating my next meal at this wonderful spot.PS If you like art, you have to take a look at their massively impressive woodcut piece it's a gorgeous piece of art."
"First time being here and I definitely had a good time, the ambience is absolutely stunning and also their drinks are amazing. Bartenders are very friendly and service is excellent! Definitely will come back here I really love the vibe!"

The lounge is so beautiful and the ambiance is so rich. My friend and I went on a Tuesday night (which is apparently singles night!) and we ordered a glass of wine and a charcuterie board. The plush leather sofa chairs made me feel so sophisticated and really contributed a lot to the overall experience. The food was delicious and filling (though I do wish I had asked for more crackers) I really enjoyed the wine cheese and my favorite cold meat was the cut pictured on the far right (I can't remember what it was called). At the end of the night, the owner made my friend and I a free shot he called a Black Russian. Let me tell you, I have day dreamt about that drink ever since and I'd go back just for that shot every day if I could! The owner was such a great guy and provided such excellent service. I can't wait to go back and try the wine cheese pizza he recommended when I told him my favorite cheese was the wine cheese! Important to note, single ladies and men, go on Tuesday nights for singles night!

I think I like this place so much cause it's quiet and inviting. It's not your average Bfield Downtown bar. It feels like a place where people who actually wanna talk to each other can hang out!The bartenders and servers are all wonderful. I'm so picky and such a brat and no one acted like my weirdo requests were weird. In fact I asked for a totally made up special drink and the bartender was excited to create it for me. The food is way better than I expected. It's all very simple concepts but made well with good ingredients. Do yourself a favor- be upscale and fancy at CraSh- get a fresh squeezed, hand muddled fancy drink and the meat and cheese platter! You can thank me later :)

Nice, cozy hang out. A really nice low key bar. People are chill and welcoming. Place has 2 pool tables and will have food catered free. They have a DJ playing old school music. Only down side is the cigarette smoke burns your eyes and you leave smelling like an ash tray. I'd come back again.

This is a wonderful addition to the Tehachapi restaurant scene, very cosmopolitan. Farm to table fresh ingredients, well prepared, interesting entrees. Nice full bar with lots of fun cocktails, local beers and wines. We ordered the ribeye steak, which was excellent and served with sides of spicy salt and pepper, mango salsa and crumbled blue cheese as well as potatoes and roasted carrots. Also the mango chicken sandwich with a salad and their amazing chocolate mousse cake for dessert. The wait staff were very friendly and helpful and proud of the quality of their food and presentation, as they should be! We'll be back for sure!

Nice bar with tons of space. Heard they have food trucks from time to time and live music. Talked to the owners who are very nice people. Go show them some love! Good beer options to choose from.

Came in for a double date and we were pleasantly surprised that they offered a free appetizer with the purchase of two drinks from 4-7pm. The drinks were amazingly delicious. The only thing we would suggest is having beer on tap for the husbands. Other than that the drinks and food were delicious. We ordered the picana and it did not disappoint. The restaurant is beautiful and the owner is so friendly and knowledgeable. We will definitely be back.

Recently came here for a friend's birthday and let me tell you. It brought me back to my party days. This is totally a vibe. There were groups if parties everywhere on a Saturday. First This place is decoration is amazing. It is beautiful! You have to come here on your birthday. It's like being at the club with the music, the lights, the sparklers, the bar cart. If you want that party vibe, come here. As far as food. It was decent. I got the trio fajitas. It was packed onto the skillet. I couldn't really see my food because it was dark but it was OK. It is a shareable dish. Just got another side of rice and beans. My husband on the other hand didn't like the food. He had tacos and didn't care for him. He told them he didn't want spicy and they were still too spicy for him.

I've been here once with friends. Its a pretty chill place. The music was amazing and the owners were nice and friendly. They sell food I just wish they had more of a selection as far as alcoholic drinks but what they had did the trick and we were all having a blast! I definatoy recommend this place if you want to listen to some good jazz. :)

"Danika, you did a fine job of making an out-of-towner feel welcome. I hope I get a reason to come back to Visalia. You manage your bar very well. You keep the drinks coming, hold intelligent banter and provide the steak knife when I need to lop off the tip of a cigar(even if you don't want to know why it was requested). To future patrons of this fine establishment:Tip this woman well. She treats her guests very well."
"This place continues to be my favorite watering hole while visiting Palmdale. Sherri, the bartender, continues to lead the pack with great service and attitude. The food is still outstanding especially the wings and the steaks. The Manager's Reception can not be beat."
"Ordered using delivery service and food was still warm and fresh. Amazing flavors in the ribeye tacos. Seriously one of the better things I've eaten. Ribeye could have been trimmed a bit better, hard to avoid a fatty/gristly but I'm a taco bite. I will absolutely be order from here again."
"The staff here make you feel at home and welcomed. Sure like every club it get "busy" but the staff surely does what they can to keep up. Just like all the other clubs "downtown". So get your drink, and get your groove on!"
"This place is awesome. Chill dive bar, mostly friendly staff (there was like one super rude girl, but the others are amazing -- Myra is AWESOME!) you can vape inside, and the jukebox is great! The drinks are strong and quick, and it's just a great time all around. Highly recommended!"
"We enjoyed a delicious dinner at Kan Pai last night, we had reservations friendly fun hostess seated us promptly. The attention and service from our waiter was top notch. The 3 appetizers were delicious, entrees were all excellent as well. it's a special evening for all at Kan Pai"
"I love this place. Our cigar club loves coming here. We love the food, drinks and vibrant environment. The owner is amazing and very accommodating. Great place on the blvd"
"This is the old cuckoo restaurant. Looks like it turns into a night club later in the day. We showed up around 5pm. There was plenty of parking and we were seated very quickly. The menu is a mix of Mexican and sushi. We had to do some translating for folks who didn't speak Spanish because the menu section was all in Spanish. The drinks were good, tamarind margarita was my favorite. I'd come back again."
"I want to thank the owner for reaching out to me directly and apologizing for the mishap that happened the last time I was here. I really do appreciate Renee taking the time to respond back to my review and letting me know why she hadn't contacted me right away. It really shows that they care about their business and want to do right by their customers!"
"The place was quite cozy, not very big but it was comfortable. They have outside seating with heating lamps if it gets crowded, luckily it wasn't too bad when we went. The food was good and they had a really big selection of wine. Unfortunately our first few picks for bottles were already sold out but the server I think his name was Dylan was very accommodating. He provided excellent service and anticipated what we might need before we knew it. That kind of service definitely elevated the experience and we will definitely be coming back. The wine we had was pretty good and we finished the bottle. We made it in time for brunch and the food was tasty. My wife really enjoyed the baked bree. Great place for a date or to just relax and enjoy good wine and great service."
"Charlie's is still quiet place for dinner with good food. The food and drinks are relatively inexpensive. The service is attentive but not overbearing. For those who us to frequent years ago only to see prices surge & service suffer, those times seemed to have changed with the change of ownership in the hotel several years ago.If you haven't been in a while (or never), I recommend stopping in and checking it out."
"Only been here once and I can tell you that it is a great dive bar. When we got into the palce the bouncer checked our ID's and let us know that if anyone gives us any trouble to let him know. I thought that was pretty cool and what a real dive bar should be like. The Bartender was very friendly and talkative. Their selection of beer is limited but they do have a decent selection of hard liquor and will make any drinks you request as long as they have the stuff to do it. The night we went there was a local band playing and it was pretty good. If I am ever back in the area again I will make sure to go back!"
"Stopped in for karaoke and holiday specials while looking for a way to break up a drive between SoCal & NorCal. Pleasantly surprised by the sound quality (KJ Tiff) and we will likely make this a stop again in the future when trying to find ways to break up long drives. Friendly patrons, drinks were a great deal during the holiday specials."
"Wow what a surprise! This is a restaurant tucked away in some new development on Buena Vista. It is one of the most beautiful, polished restaurants. Every table has fresh flowers, each with a different vase. It is dark, cozy, and quiet. The waitress is the owner's sister, she was really helpful with the menu. I started off with the shrimp cocktail, really delicious. Then the taco and enchilada had amazing presentation. The pork taco had a tangy sauce, and enchiladas had a nice chile verde sauce. Very happy with the food! I will definitely bring my wife here for a date night."
"Did not feel like cooking for the night and did not want to get dressed up however we did not sacrifice on the flavor. When in doubt go with everything (sampler) and happy with it. The bacon wrapped mozzarella sticks were the highlight: crispy, stringy cheese and great with ranch or marinara sauce. The wings were a little disappointing: felt they would have been better if friend and not baked. The pizza was one of the best I have had in town: crispy crust, chewy dough, fresh toppings and great sauce (I did not even use ranch). The service was attentive and super friendly and took the experience to the next level."
"Food was not the same from our last visit 2 months ago. My wife and I ordered 1 steak dinner and 1 meat loaf dinner. The presentation was the same for both just different meats. Overall the service was outstanding."
"Best spot for karaoke. It's been around forever. I was coming here to sing 12 years ago. The sound system is bomb. Mac the great karaoke dj will dial u in. If your a hardcore karaoke person then u need to show up here and pay your dues. No balls no glory. If you like to sing come here. Sam the bartender will take care of u. Very hospitable."
"Bartenders are pretty attentive, and there's lots of huge TVs to watch the big games and fights, but they make the weakest drinks I've ever had. I'm not asking for a heavy dive bar pour, but I expect to taste more than just the slightest bit of gin instead of almost pure tonic. Don't order anything but beer."
"This is a fun dive bar that is open late. I'm new to Bakersfield and it's been hard to find nightlife because places close so early. The VIP Lounge was a fun find. I ordered a Moscow mule and it was good. My friend ordered a margarita and it was tasty too. I'm hoping this is a good sign as to the quality of their cocktails. The vibe was fun and casual but I could see that some people had gotten there early and were already getting a little sloppy. Service was ok. We waited a while to get our orders in at the bar. It was hard to tell if the bartender really didn't see my 6'2" friend or we were being ignored. I had to get their attention after I saw that people that arrived after us were getting served. I saw they have a karaoke night so I'll have to check it out again another time."
