I went in to get it.Not real kind or welcoming service, but hopefully the food will be good! It was just called that it was made & handed over shortly after walking in. Paid for the order and left. Restaurant is nice. Low key.Lunchtime! Order split. 1/2 of the poke bowl was fresh and tasty! 1/2 of the Red Dragon Roll was delicious! They included wasabi that added and nice, spicy kick! Mother felt the same! Wish the service was good, but oh well! At least the lunch was good! It would've received 5 stars if the service was good!"

"This was my first time here. My daughter loves sushi, and she chose this place for her birthday dinner. Our waitress was adorable, very attentive, and friendly. I loved the open concept. The place is beautiful and clean. The tables look like they can be put together for bigger parties as well. The sushi rolls were delicious! There were many different rolls on the menu, and you would have to eat there many different nights to try them all. My husband and I have already made plans to return to try different rolls. I want to sit at the bar in front of the sushi chef next time!"

"My last visit to Yamamori was splendid, and I hope it was indicative that the food and service has improved since my last visit, about a year and a half ago. The food was delicious and generously portioned, and the waitress on staff was extremely professional and very helpful.The crazy tuna roll, the special of the day, was fantastic. Not only did the roll look carefully put together with great presentation, but it was also huge and filling! A roll that size would typically cost a few dollars more elsewhere (and that's taking the original non-special price into consideration).My dad wanted ice cream but was unsure of what mochi was. He decided on green tea ice cream, which he loved, but the waitress also surprised us with a strawberry mochi on-the-house for him to try out, which was awesome. As it turns out, he also loves mochi.I would be more than happy to write a 5-star review upon my next visit if things continue to go well! I've eaten here about 4 times, but if this review was based off of this visit alone I would definitely rate it 5 stars right away! A great dining experience."

Food and the service are always incredible here. Ambiance was quiet and peaceful today. One guy waiting, I walked right up and picked up the order. Can't go wrong with the bowls "teriyaki beef and chicken, options for spicy or not." Instead we went with the sushi rolls, tempura veggies and shrimp today! It did not disappoint! "my boyfriend and i went to this lovely ramen place as part of our 6th month anniversary!!! we ordered the chicken gyoza and we agreed it was splendid, perfectly cooked, very well-seasoned, and not too salty :). I ordered the shoyu (soy sauce) ramen . the broth was incredibly flavorful and their noodles are so good and filling. my boyfriend ordered the tonkatsu (pork) ramen. he said the meat was very tender and it was savory. we both 1000% recommend this place for some yummy ramen and gyozas. the ambiance is calm and the restaurant has a cute Japanese decor and a chalk drawing of One Piece!!! (and a lot other anime characters :D). love it here."

My husband has celiac and has never been able to try sushi because of it but Baylee went above and beyond to help us customize a few rolls so he could enjoy sushi with me today! She read ingredients, talked to the cooks and came back to us several times to make sure his meal was safe! I can count on one hand the amount of servers or even managers that have ever been willing to do that so it was a total shock to us! We appreciate you Baylee!!! "Bento Express is a hidden gem! From the name, I expected a simple menu of rolls and bento boxes, but I was pleasantly surprised by the variety they offer. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with a warm and welcoming ambiance. One unique feature that caught my eye was the bar seating, where you can watch the sushi being made.The service was excellent--the person who greeted and seated us (who seemed to be the owner) was incredibly kind, attentive, and accommodating. It's always great to dine at a place where you feel genuinely welcomed.Now, onto the food! We ordered the yellowtail sashimi, veggie tempura, chicken plate, rainbow roll, albacore sushi, and tuna sushi. The fish was unbelievably fresh, juicy, and flavorful, making the sushi, rolls, and sashimi stand out. The chicken plate was also delicious, with a perfect balance of rice, sautéed veggies, and tender chicken topped with just the right amount of sauce. The veggie tempura was another highlight--the portion was generous for the price, and unlike other places where you taste old cooking oil, the batter here was light, crispy, and perfectly coated the veggies.Overall, our experience was amazing! Bento Express exceeded our expectations, and we'll definitely be back soon--either to try new menu items or to enjoy the same delicious dishes again. Highly recommend!"

She seemed so rush that I checked the closing time, thinking maybe we got there right before closing. They didn't close for over another hour so that was not the reason. The restaurant was also freezing!!! It was close to temperatures outside. Anyway, we ordered. Food was delicious as always. Hot and full of flavor. We get the Pork Tonkotsu ramen with chicken , Egg and garlic. This time we also got the Gyoza. It was fresh and delicious!!Great food!! But staff could be friendlier. "COVID review. Only had Salmon sushi. Was ok, not great. Was so cold, maybe it had recently been thawed out. You aren't going to get sick, but for what it is, was passable.Takeout only. From a safety perspective, thay are a 4+ star operation. You can call in or walk up to the door and order. There is a plexiglass barrier at the door that is on hinges so they can take your payment and hand you your food. The good news, they had a lot of orders coming in. It took about 15 min to have the salmon ready and there was a steady stream of people that had called in orders, parked waiting to pick up. Its more of a fast food sushi, Japanese joint.All things considered, well done."

"I tried this place for the 1st time. I was really surprised that the food was so good. The menu has a lot to offer and the prices were reasonable. I tried 3 different rolls and all were tasty. No complaints. I really appreciated the presentation of the packaging on the carry out orders. The staff were very nice and attentive. As for the restaurant itself, walking in the door it's apparent they are having some plumbing issues. The smell is overwhelming and off-putting. So much so, I kept smelling it on my clothes as I drove home. I know this is a very new place so I'll give them some grace and assume they are working on the issue. One other thing that stood out is the restroom. The establishment is very small so the view to restroom is quite visible. Apparently they don't have a staff restroom as I saw one of the cooks exiting the restroom still wearing his apron and returning back inide the kitchen. That's something me as a diner never want to witness and I doubt an inspector would either.That being said, I will definitely go back to try other things on their extensive menu. I'll just be ordering carry out."

Especially since most places are hiking up their prices right now...which I can understand why! Anyway the service was really great! The lady ringing me up suggested the baked salmon roll she said it was pretty amazing so that's what I tired and she was right... it was amazing! I added some spicy mayo and hot sauce to the top of the roll and that made it even better then the first bite. This will be a definite stop for me more often, except Mondays as they are closed."

I would even pick this place over most places in Fresno. The sushi is always so clean and fresh. The owner even goes and catching a lot of the fish too. The service is always good and it's nice and clean inside. My go to dish is the sushi platters and the price is well worth it. I have never been disappointed with the sushi here. The roll are good too but the best value is the sashimi. I generally ask for a small bowl of rice so that it's like I'm eating nigiri too. If you're in a mood for sushi this is the place."

"Had dinner last night with a couple of friends. The restaurant itself isn't very inviting. The front doesn't look like much (dirty windows and minimal signage) and when you go inside it's pretty dark. It was also warm inside. It was a pretty hot day outside and it didn't seem like the air conditioner worked very well. All three of us were sweating. I was greeted right away and seated to wait for my friends. The waitress was very attentive. My friends each had a Bento box which they enjoyed. I had the Udon soup and the Lobster Hills. I really enjoyed both. Had to take a lot of food home with me because the portions were pretty ample. So the nearly $50 I spent on my dinner and drinks will actually be two meals. The soup was delicious, somewhat spicy, contained thick noodles, mushrooms onions and the broth was just amazing! The Lobster Hills was also very good. The only complaint I have is that it was a baked roll so the top of the dish was hot as if it had been baked for a little bit but the rolls underneath the Langostino were cold. It was quite tasty though. My first time having Langostino and it really does taste like lobster.Honestly I'd like this place because the food was good but the atmosphere wasn't very comfortable."

"Had the best lunch date at Love Sushi in Bakersfield. Finding good sushi in Bakersfield had not been on my bingo card for the day but I was so pleasantly surprised with this meal that I had to come on here to tell you all about it!Love sushi was close to one of my friend's houses so we decided to stop in for lunch. Really the reason we chose this spot was because it wasn't far and it was one of the only sushi restaurants that opened at 11am vs 11:30am. We found this spot easily, clear signage and there was plenty of parking which was great. We walked inside and were immediately welcomed and offered a nice booth in the back. This restaurant is pretty small. Only about 5 booths, a small sushi bar, and a couple tables so on the weekends I would say come earlier. On a weekday this place didn't get too busy but lots of take out orders were coming through.Service & staff here were 5 stars and honestly the best part of this experience. Our waitress/server was darling and super sweet. Very attentive and she knew the menu well which was impressive as they have a large menu. She was helpful and checked up on us often always clearing empty plates and refilling our glasses. The sushi chef was also the kindest guy oh my gosh! He sent complimentary hand rolls over to our table. Who does that? It was so sweet and much appreciated, it set for good vibes right off that bat. That was a really generous free starter. Our meal was definitely very delicious and we both left super stuffed but happy. I'd say their sushi overall was 4 stars but actually their cooked meals and bento box were an unexpected 5 stars for me. Their Bulgogi was some of the best I've had, especially at a sushi restaurant. Almost as good as some Korean bbq spots I've been. The bulgogi had a great sauce and the sauce got hot enough during cooking it gave good little crispy edges to the meat. Super tasty and the bento boxes are Hooked up here! Came with rice, salad, miso soup, California roll, and two fried dumplings. Seriously what a deal?! The sushi was middle of the road to me, I liked some things better than others - my roll was tasty but needed a stronger sauce to give it a little more flavor. I liked the salmon hand rolls though.All in all we had a super fabulous lunch experience here. The restaurant was clean, cute, and cozy - my favorite c's. Haha. Service was impressive and the owner/chef couldn't have been any more generous. He also gave us a tiny apple dessert at the end, so sweet. Food was very good and for the large amount of food we ordered the price was about average. For a good meal though we are happy to pay. Definitely a new spot to come back to next time I'm in town, worth a try if you haven't been here yet. Good people, they deserve your business."

And we're both perfectly full not stuffed but not still hungry. we came in on memorial day and it was not very busy so I'm not sure how it's like on a regular day. I do have to say that I like this location better than it being on Ming."
