"Went to Rigatony's Pizza & Pasta for the First time. When I had friends recommended for years. I called last year to see if they were open on New Year Eve and will be Open New Year Day and were on hold for over 15 minutes. But going there for the first time had no idea they didn't have a place to wait or to have service. Will say I like the street in front is painted green so you can just order your food and pick it up. But we went there and the cashier guy asked if I wanted to give a TIP. Don't mean to me but WHY would I give a TIP when there is NO Service? No place to sit inside and wait for my meal. Either way now that I learned about the place I waited 15 minutes on the phone to place my order and just pick it up. Because at this time that's all you can do."

The Planing Mill Artisan Pizzeria

"Pizza & Beer is a brilliant combination we have all enjoyed for years. Planning Mill Pizza is truly one of the best in town. We chose this venue to host a family celebration. They have two party rooms to pick from, one larger than the other. I was disappointed with the responsiveness of the representative in charge of securing the room. It did cause unwanted stress when trying to ensure everything was in order and ready to go. The day of the event arrived, there was no one to greet us or show us to the party room. This was not a good sign, we had to hunt down help before we were finally shown our room. Unfortunately, the room was not set up and we were left to set up all of the chairs as they were just stacked in the corner. There was limited time before guests were scheduled to arrive. We had to hustle to make sure everything was set up. This could have been avoided if they had set up the room before we arrived. All in all, the food was great and made up for the lack of hospitality. I would have given it an additional star but my overall experience lacked. Especially when we paid a pretty big penny to have our event hosted at this venue."

"Luigis is a staple in Old Town Kerns, Bakersfield. My broworker's Nona approves so I know Luigis is as authentic as it gets without flying to Italy. Reservations highly recommended, they were pretty busy when we came by for lunch on a Wednesday. The weather was lovely so we decided to sit outside to enjoy the sunshine. Cassie took great care of us the whole time we were there. The menu was glorious with so many delicious options to pick from. My bro boss ordered their Truffle App ($17.50/small) for the four of us to share. It comes with a sliced loaf of sourdough for you to dip into the delicious sauce. This truffle app is like glorious pasta truffle purses. SO DELICIOUS. As for our entrees, I focused on the lunch specials to help myself narrow things down. I decided on their half order of Lasagna ($13.75) and my broworkers all got their Cole's Steak Sandwich ($24.95/each) which comes with thinly sliced ny steak with grilled onions and pepperjack cheese in a toasted soft roll. Okay okay maybe I should have confirmed and gotten that too, but my lasagna was really delicious. The half portion was still a mighty size and I easily got food coma after my meal. It was a good thing they had a cute gift shop with Italian imports as well as local Bakersfield goods for purchase. We picked out some thoughtful gifts to make gift baskets for our clients. I really love the family-vibes I get from the business both on the restaurant side and the giftshop side. I know this will be my first of many many visits to Luigis. I am definitely a fan and looking forward to coming back to try more of their menu."

"I had the best evening at Sorella's with my oldest girlfriend and bestest friend. At first we had a small wait to get a table but the teeny bar was a nice place to start off airing the vino for the meal. We were seated at a cute booth with a candle, which prompted me to turn and say to her that this was definitely our Galentine's dinner. The waitress Madison was prompt, well versed and absolutely pivotal or our enjoyment. She was so attentive and full of suggestions to keep the night flowing. It was a Saturday night and at first there was no music but then when there was -but it seemed like the soundtrack repeated after only a handful of songs. That was fine though as we did not really run out of things to talk or laugh about. We had amazing steaks, sides were "mid" but the desserts were so fun! We went with combining the Carmel Cheesecake with Bananas Foster."

"I was craving pasta as I didn't like the other foods choices. I went with linguine and clams. It was clearly disappointed. The clams were not fresh at all. The mini clams were probably from a can. And the sauce was way too thick. It should just be wine, garlic, and clam juice. What's up with all thickness? I wonder if it's cream? Anyway, the pasta is a little too soft. I was a little disappointed. The service was excellent. The restaurant is beautiful."

"I gave this restaurant another try after staying away for over two years. And, I might not be returning ever again. the reason I left the first time (after frequenting it for many years) was due to the poor quality of the food and lack of good service. My wife and I had seen everything start to deteriorate after new management had taken over. Last night's visit began without a smile or nice welcome from the hostess. It digressed quickly when our waiter failed to ask us if we wanted bread, which has always been wonderful and did live up to last night. So, after attempting to get his attention, which failed, we finally were able to ask for it after we were done with our salad. He evidently decided the couple next to us, who had already finished their main course and were choosing a dessert when we were seated, were more important than us. Also, we were never asked if we wanted any olive oil. That's one of my requests at any Italian Restaurant, whether here in the U.S, in Europe, or in Italy. I must say that our salad (the Mediterranea) and our entree (Capellini Alla Checca) were savory and very delicious. I thought, "Yeah, they are back to their great food, once again." However, our waiter never came over to check on us, which is a "No, No! " with any service. Yet, he continued to converse with the couple who had finished their dessert and coffee. Many moons ago, I was a waiter in a highly-acclaimed French Restaurant in Beverly Hills. Therefore, I believe I do know good service when I see it.Goodbye Spumoni Restaurant. You don't need our business. We will go to our now "favorite" Italian Restaurant in the Santa Clarita Valley, which does have wonderful service and great dishes."

"Gino's is always fantastic dining. From the exceptional service to the delightfully delicious food, Gino's is the perfect place for a fantastic dining experience. Their bruschetta is always fresh, and abolsolute devine. The family size antipasto salad with their homemade Italian dressing is by far one of my favorite salads in the Antelope Valley. My girls love their bolognes e, my husband is all about the canzone, and for me it's the eggplant parmeasan. The restaurant has a calming, romantic ambiance with comfortable booths. There aren't enough words to truly express what a gem this establishment is."

When I walked in, couldn't help but feel that ambiance - it has this intimate atmosphere, perfect for small group dinners or date nights. Food was delicious, service was nice. "Cesar's Deli has been my go to lately when it comes to catering! I will say the food is absolutely tasty and prices are great! The Penne pasta with the Alfredo sauce has been one of the top hits for sure! Whenever I've arrived with that pasta in hand you can literally smell the deliciousness as soon as I walk in. In the last two weeks I've ordered from here about 3 times and every office always asked where the food was from before I left because they enjoyed it so much. The sandwich platters are huge, and feed much more then you would think especially when paired with pasta. The cookie tray is also so good! So don't skip out on dessert if you're ordering from the catering menu. So worth it! The staff is also super great, and always provide serving spoons and help me carry out my order!"

"I think this place is doing a great job! We went in for dinner with some close friends, and enjoyed ourselves tremendously. I had the chicken piccata, yum! We ordered wine, from their extensive list, which was perfectly served. Got the stuffed zucchini flowers, they were flash fried, and delicious! What I like best is the festive and classy Christmas decorating! Stop in and get something yummy and have a cup of cheer at the bar. The only tip I have is, if you have more than a few tables open, try to seat tables one table apart. It makes conversations amongst your own table seem easier."

Excellent.Found this pizzeria last week and was pleasantly surprised to have a great tasting, sweet lunch deal close to the office. Pizza is not oily, dough made fresh daily, same with pizza sauce. Really good tasting pizza. Slice is more than enough to fill you up. The salad is fresh, high quality with romaine lettuce, no iceberg. Also comes with red onions, olives, tomatoes and more. "I can't tell what I like more, the ambiance, or the decor. I have a hard time figuring out which i like more, the ambiance, or the decor. the roma sandwich is the ultimate sleeper shadow wizard gang choice of sandwich because it is so infatuating with the perfect blend of salamis, peppers, and cheese together. I ate the entire bag of chips including the wrapper so i don't know what brand they were but the jalapeño chips are always a must. I saw that they had ice cream and gave it a shot, 1/4 for 99¢ like you know i'm hopping on that deal faster than a crackhead on a pipe. So the awesome worker went and defrosted the ice cream (that's beyond an extra mile i mean, we're talking at least 2 miles) and came back with like half a pint and let me take it. THEY DONT DO THIS ANYWHERE ELSE ARE WE FR RIGHT NOW? Great deli great place great people and even greater sandwiches (and wraps!)"

"Had a large group come and we had excellent service. Food came out quickly. I had the chicken piccatta and I wanted to lick the plate the sauce was delicious. Everyone thought their food was presented beautifully. Not sure is this is an Italian restaurant that also serves Mexican or visaversa. All loved their food and was impressed with everything. Looks like they have live music on weekends. The prices were very decent. Salads were under $20 and pastas were under $30. I belive only steak was over $30. Our waitress was awesome I feel bad I didn't get her name but I tipped well."

"I grew up eating here and I never had a bad experience with the pizza. Although, the prices are excessive and the charge per extra topping is high. 1 large pizza and 2 small was over $50. But , I wouldn't go here everyday and pay these prices. Then it would have to be a pay day and at most once a month. Wait time is long to eat in at the place. Most people just carry out and take it home. I'm not local so that is an issue. The music they play was not enjoyable and very loud and having a conversation is hard. But the pizza is good and it's a good thing they have more of these places to eat. I ate at the Main Street location."
