"First time visiting, we've been wanting to try for awhile. We got the Samosa and the Chicken Tikka Masala with the Garloc Naan Bread and Rice. It was amazing! The flavors and portions wwere perfect. Restaurant was clean and inviting. Staff were very friendly. We will be back! (Photos are from when we got home and plated)"
"Kelly's is awesome. Everything on the menu is great. The chicken burrito is my fav. Take time to go. Awesome food!!"

"Driving into the area where my husband was directing me to go... I was very hesitant! Drive through this cyclone fencing next to this abandoned restaurant. Are you sure ??? I am glad I did!! We saw the set up and it looks much more inviting by their setup. We ordered chili chicken it was tasty and kind of sweet. The garlic naan was delicious. We ordered samosas but they were quite different from what we were used to. These samosas had yogurt, chickpeas, red onions and cilantro on them. They were delicious. We had a side of rice that had very good flavor. They gave us some rice pudding that had a nice delicious flavor. We will definitely go again."
"Great, fresh, home style and doesn't feel heavy. Will definitely come back next time I'm on the way to LA"
"Today we tried the new food truck in Tehachapi (Golden Hills) Taste of India and it was so good. I can't eat curry (hubby loves it). They were really accommodating, telling me all the things they could make for me without curry. Really nice guys. We got Lemon Chicken with rice and they put the curry sauce on the side for me, Curry Chicken with rice, a chicken wrap and a side of yogurt sauce. The chicken practically melts in your mouth. The rice has a great garlic butter flavor. The naan is more like a pita but it's a high quality pita lol really good too. They are out of Bakersfield but one of the guys wife works here in Tehachapi. They said that they plan on staying as long as business is good. We will be going back for sure!"
"We decided to check out Tandoori Fusions last night and sure glad we did! We wanted to try a little of everything so we ordered the butter chicken naan taco, tri-tip naan taco, grilled shrimp naan taco, and the tri-tip bowl. Everything was so flavorful and delicious. The spices they use are full of depth and pair well with all of the proteins. We also tried the sauces including the spicy chipotle and avocado tomatillo - yum!! All the food was good as is, but you can kick up the spice level a bit with the sauces. We will definitely be going back again to try more. It was nice they were at a brewery so we could have some beers while we waited for the food. Nice to see a little more variation in the AV!"
"This review is based from last 2 visits. First time, my fiance and I came for the lunch buffet and it was delicious. We tried just about everything in the buffet. I think some of our favorites were the chana masala, butter chicken, rice pilau, chicken tandoori, and garlic naan. The quality of the food is great. Given that we were the first ones there right when they opened. Buffet is only served between 11am-3pm.Second visit was dinner time and we tried the chicken tikka masala, bread basket, keema samosa, and chicken biryani. We asked for mild spice on the chicken tikka masala and chicken biryani. I love spicy food and my fiance prefers a mild spice. The keema samosa was crispy on the outside and very flavorful inside. The chicken biryani had a good spice to it. The bread basket has a variety of breads and it's a large portion of bread. Definitely come with a hungry stomach, the portions are great between 2 people!"
"Pretty good lunch buffet at this spot on Wilson, in the olllllld Straw Hat location. I really enjoyed the cucumber salad, the cauliflower dish, and the samosa more than anything else. Very good price on the buffet."
"Royal Taj Food now occupies the former Taj Mahal restaurant. Came on a weekday and was surprised that a lunch buffet wasn't being offered. I asked if they will ever serve a buffet and they stated no. I stayed and ordered off of the menu as it was the same as the former Taj Mahal's menu so I was familiar with the offerings. Decided to order the Chicken Malai (chicken cooked in a creamy and coconut curry) as this was my go-to with former ownership. It came out quickly and the spices were on point. The order came with rice and naan. I ordered the garlic naan and it was amazingly garlic and buttery. I would have preferred that the Chicken Malai was creamier (it was a bit on the thinner side) and had a stronger coconut flavor, but it was good. Definitely will need to come and try the other dishes!"
"Delicious food, wonderful service, casual atmosphere. Transiting through Bakersfield, we were so glad we came upon this gem of a restaurant. Greeted with a warm welcome as we walked in, you could tell this family run restaurant wants you to enjoy their cuisine. They were very accommodating towards my mom and sister in regard to spice levels and patiently explained the dishes they weren't familiar with. We started off with complimentary spiced papadums and a trio of chutneys. My mom loves lamb so she selected the curry and enjoyed the flavor and tenderness. I like paneer so I got it as tikka masala. It was a tad too sweet for my preference but I still enjoyed it. My sister never tried chicken jalfrezi and was told it's actually a spicy dish. They modified it for her capsaicin averse tastebuds and she was very happy with her pick. Yellow lentils, veggie samosas, basmati rice and garlic naan rounded off our dinner.Bakersfield has a lot of Indian restaurants to choose from, so I hope they have longevity and success. When we drive through Bakersfield, we will make sure to patronize Samosa Junction again!"
"Wife and I stopped in here for lunch at opening. We got a flyer in the mail. Saw the lunch buffet for $15 and had to try itWhen we walked in, we were the first ones there. The lady taking our order came out and we scared her by accident. She was super sweet and welcoming. Ordered the buffet and she said that they needed 5 more minutes so all the choices were ready. She had us sit where we wanted and brought out waters. She came out and let us know when all the buffet selections were ready. I must say that this buffet was worth it! From tandoori chicken to fried veggies and garlic naan, there were so many delicious selections. I tried them all. All the flavors were on point and it was great to try new things. I grabbed two plates and left super full. The staff were super nice. The food was amazing. We will back for sure! The best part was a super cute little kid running around and helping out! If you are in the area or traveling from a far....this place is a must try!"
"New favorite vegetarian-friendly spot to eat on the 5, especially since we try to avoid fast food and would rather support family-run establishments. It's just north of the Grapevine in a gas station. Very homemade style - you can watch them make the rotis fresh to order behind the counter. We've tried their dal, saag paneer, rice, rotis, samosas, and mango lassi. The quality & flavor compared to many sit down Indian restaurants in the Bay Area. The outdoor seating area is not great but it's fine to eat quick and there's a shady grassy spot nearby that's nice for our dog. Also I wish they would post their prices on their menu board. But in general the food is delicious!"

If you're close to downtown Bakersfield and craving Indian food, I would highly recommend this place. Kelly and the staff are welcoming and working hard in the kitchen. They offer great portions for the price. They're chicken tikka masala was top tier. Not to mention they give you a huge naan bread.

The food here is amazing! The staff was the absolute nicest. They were also knowledgeable about allergies and so very helpful and thoughtful. The prices were reasonable as well. I highly recommend a trip here. Good people and good food!

A family-owned establishment in Bakersfield, Indian Village is an absolute must-stop. With many options on the menu, including main dishes, wraps, and various appetizers, the food is extremely fresh and flavorful! We tried the garlic naan, a few paneer dishes, and their malai kofta. All were amazing and we would definitely order it again -- it was so good that we dined here twice within a week! Definitely support this small business and their authentic flavors and hospitality!

Really delicious food from this food truck. I had the beef kabob wrap. The wrap itself was warm, soft, chewy and flavorful, the beef perfectly seasoned, 2 delicious sauces and mandolin-sliced vegetables made for a perfect bite each and every time. I'm impressed and can't wait to try the other menu items. I'd love some a la carte choices as well; especially for the samosas, French fries and naan.

Underwhelmed. Looked forward to trying it all week and came away mostly disappointed. Flavors were amazing but their meat to naan to veggie ratio was off in the worst way. Wouldn't turn it down if it was free but came away feeling like I should have just gone to Rubio's. Wouldn't run to the next Lucky Luke event they attend.

This is a hidden gem for many reasons. My husband and I stopped by to pick up a to-go order for a late lunch. The serving potions are large and I find that you get a lot for what you pay for and I appreciate that. The staff are friendly and had recommendations for vegetarian options. We tried the tofu tikka masala and Aloo Gobi which are both vegetarian. The naan was delicious and ALL the food was still warm when we arrived home (which was a 15 minute drive home). We had plenty of leftovers and even when re-hearing the food it's still delicious. It looked clean, and they even have a lunch buffet option (dine in only) which we look forward to trying. I highly recommend trying their food and they are always super helpful with their recommendations.

"We are visiting from out of town and have never had South Indian. Everything was amazing and the service was excellent. We have both the goat & lamb biryani, samosas, paneer tikka, and desserts. So much food, everything was delicious. I highly recommend."
"I get consistently amazing food delivered from this spot, and someday I hope to dine in here. The basic chicken tikka masala, garlic naan, and mango lassi's always hit. Occasionally the medium spice level tastes mild, so if you can handle a little heat I recommend spicy. Shahi paneer is also super good."
"We are roadtripping and this spot has been the highlight of the drive. This is authentic Indian street food. The portion size, packaging and wait time was impressive. We got the vegetarian biryani, daal and dahi bhalla. I can assume everything on the menu is tasty! They have an outdoor picnic table or you can eat in your car. The main restaurant should be open in a month."
"Great food, great service, great place!!! I highly recommend you give this place a try. The paneer tikka masala, biryani, garlic naan was great! We also enjoyed the goobi pakora. The owner was so very friendly and caring. Just a small family business working their dream. We made a stop before getting home with our food and it was cooled down but still great! Which means dine in must be even better! Don't forget to ask for a dessert recommendation! We got these little orange balls that are eaten warm. Oh wow those were good too!We are 100% returning for more!"
"The food here is amazing! The service is fast. The ambiance is at a gas station but super cool. This is a high end place for this style of dining. But the food is better than most restaurants. I would literally take a date here if she was a foodie. If you like high quality tasty Indian food then try this place and your review will be similar to mine."
"Very sad to see this place with 2 stars. Passed by on our way to Sequoia National Park, truly by accident. My daughter had to go to the bathroom and we just took whatever exit we were at and drove to the nearest place. This just happened to be where we stopped and being brown, wanted to give this place a try. They have groceries at reasonable prices, (and I've been to Artesia and San Diego and NJ and NY places as well so don't get on me!) but this is not what to buy here. The hot food and sweets are where it's at. We had naan, chana puri, rice, papri chaat and matter paneer. Everything was delicious although very very spicy. It was so much better than eating more burgers or Costco pizza. I'm sure this place gets people since it's obviously open. Please give this place a chance Bakersfield. And don't give one star for something like customer service. Really! That's now how to be a Yelper."
"Haven't really eaten a lot of Indian food in my life, my wife and I wanted to try this place for a while now. The lady who helped us who very nice and extremely helpful explaining what everything was. You can even get a sample. My wife and I got the bowls, she got the Chicken Tiki Masala and I got the Panang chicken, both excellent, with a ton of flavor. Don't get me started on the garlic naan bread, sooo good. I think our meals with drinks were $13.00 each, a great deal and cheaper and healthier than any burger place. We will be back hopefully sooner than later."
"I had it delivered through DoorDash so I can only comment on the food. I'm so glad Reedley has a new and different option! The food was solid and my husband and toddler were obsessed with the garlic naan. The chickpeas aren't for me but I really enjoyed the butter chicken and rice."
"We didn't feel like cooking, so we decided we're gonna eat Indian food today. I don't think I've had any bad experiences eating Indian food, so I'm always hopeful when I try a new place. We ordered so much food that we had so much leftovers.Staff were super friendly and they were very fast. We came during dinner and the place was pretty full. There were a few empty tables, but they had plenty of people dining in. We were seated almost immediately and they gave us some time to go over the menu and by the time we decided on dinner the service was quick.Food was delicious and everything came out hot and tasted freshly made. This wouldn't be a place I would recommend to take colleagues to meet because music is playing in the background and it's hard to hear each other when dining in.I would definitely come back, I would like to try other items as Indian food is one of my favorite foods. If you haven't tried this place then you should check it out. Parking gets busy during lunch and dinner time."
"Great food, stopped by today for some butter chicken and garlic naan. Sooooo good!!! Spice level was perfect"
"Delicious food. Enjoyed the chicken curry with rice and garlic nan. Friendly gentleman at the entry of the food truck. My food was ready in about 10 or so minutes. Fresh hot and spicy. I tried the goat plate the next day and it was excellent."
"Just popping my head back in to say the food here never disappoints!! The portions are huge and affordable, everyone is so kind, and I'll have a million leftovers. I opted for Chicken Tikka and Goan Fish today and I'm in heaven!! Don't sleep on this place y'all :)"
"Almost gave a two star and they could've gotten a five star however this was my first time eating at this restaurant called in in order to go straight from their website chicken tikka masala, Sri Lankan chicken curry two orders of naan should've been 35 bucks I get there and it was $52 I pay I leave and I start to think about it and doing the math in my head I go back to the website to confirm and yes they overcharged me so I call and they tell me that they have raised their prices and they haven't changed the website he apologized. He was nice about it but nothing other than an apology. I will say the food was good but that's a big difference to go from 35 to 52 and again this menu I ordered from their website."
"Everything here is so incredibly tasty. Saag and makhi rotis out of this world. I've traveled to India many times and know food made by Indians for Indians is way better than Americanized fare! Sandhu's Punjabi Dhaba is that kind of food. So so good!!!"
"This is a very unique kind of place with a different atmosphere. You walk in and it looks like a Carvell or Baskin Robbin's. Go to the side and it's a restaurant. I did not try any of the sweets here, but they looked fantastic. The food was very excellent. I got the Alloo Matter with rice and garlic naan. This did had the right level of spice and flavoring. The service is friendly and not over-the-top."
"This place is a hidden gem. The staff are always so friendly and inviting. They often offer you a warm cup of complimentary tea. My sister-in-law is the one who told me about this place and said she stopped here after having a heartbreaking day after some bad news about the health of her beloved dog and the warmth of woman at the store towards her gave a bit of a silver lining to her otherwise painful day. She said she'll never forget the kindness shown. After visiting a few times myself, I can say they are always warm and friendly. They have tons of delicious spices and foods to choose from. I haven't eaten from their cafeteria yet because I've always arrived after having eaten elsewhere but I will! I've enjoyed everything I've tried from the grocery store here so far. Great prices for buying spices in bulk. I can never have enough cumin. I will be making this a regular stop when I have to travel to Lancaster."
"To be honest, I thought I didn't like this type of food and was hesitant to try it but I was wrong and I am so glad I decided to try!The staff is wonderful and went out of their way to make us at home. I asked if I could see a real tandoori oven and they were very welcoming and let me see it! My coworker and I got a special kitchen tour from the staff to show us how they made our meal. It was fun and educational!I ordered the chicken tikka masala with the four cheese naan bread while my coworker ordered the Baingan Bharta (eggplant). Everything was amazing! If you are looking for good Indian food, good service and awesome staff, you need to come to Prime Bar and Grill!"
"Never been to a Indian restaurant but was invited by coworkers. We were on our lunch break so was kind of in a hurry. When we ordered we were told it would take 20 minutes to get the food. No problem cause she started slowly bringing out a little at a time. Food was good. The garlic cream chicken and rice and the Indian style tortillas were really good. The rest was okay."
"1st time here pizza was very Delicious. I order half Hawaiian hurricane and butter chicken fast n friendly and clean service Quite place for lunch !"
"Their wings are fantastic! Such a sweet place, the staff is kind and attentive. The wings are huge and yummy. I'm not going to lie, the pizza was a bit greasy (this is of course opinion only but if you're sensitive stomach like me), but had fantastic flavors and the veggies they used were amazing quality. I tried their signature La Mexicana and the MEDIUM lasted me several meals because of how generous they were with the toppings. Would have this place again, definitely even just as a wing spot that isn't gross like those BWW corporate style places."
"TLDR:Surprisingly good Indian cuisine immediately adjacent to the I-5 right at the intersection to Highway Ca-58 West. It's a great antidote to the usual burger joints and fast food while on the road out here, and definitely worth a stop for us!Service is relatively fast for a sit down restaurant. They get it that most of their customers are travelers looking to get back on the road. Here you'll find friendly folks, in a down home casual roadside ambiance and even a bit of Indian grocery store inside too! This place is legit! We ordered the following to go, asked for mild spicy and loved them all in the comfort of our own home.Biryani Chicken Rice 10/10! Absolutely nailed it! Moist, tender flavorful with a good amount of shredded chicken.Chicken Tikka Masala 8/10 - tons of sauce with some reasonably sized chunks of white meat chicken, Great to take home and reheat later as leftovers!Garlic naan 8.5/10 - a bit too burnt on the bottom side, and tender yet thin but thankfully walks the line between tender insides and crunchy outer layer the way all naans should be.Plain naan 9/10 - a little thicker than the garlic naan and less burnt. Veggie Pakora 8.5/10 - big pieces deep fried. on point pretty much..Yummy accompaniments:Raita - lots of itChutney - on target!Taste of India is a place we look forward to visiting again whenever we make the drive on I-5 or 58! It's a welcome and refreshing break from the usual burgers and fries. Definitely worth a stop!"
"Ok, hands down, this is the best pizza I have ever had, but also the most expensive. My suggestion is to buy for 1 and not your whole family."
"Thanks for being open on Xmas. Nice people. Legit food. No idea how so many options are made out of a little truck. The wraps are HUGE!!!"
