"Delano has grown so much that I'm starting to not even recognize it anymore. But in a good way. This shop in that plaza has changed so many times but I'm pretty sure this one is going to stick around. Once walking in, everything appears to be decorated as an old burger/diner but more modern with the LED's. Ordered smash burgers for the whole family with waffle fries. It wasn't too busy so the wait was only about 5-7 minutes. The burger was so tender and flavorful. My gf just kept raving that "it just melts in your mouth" consistently. The buns were super soft but held the burger together. The waffle fries were fried perfectly and not oily either. My new favorite stop whenever I'm visiting town again. Great job Moe!"

"Wild Berry is a self serve yogurt place located in the Valley Plaza Mall that was surprisingly good. They boast 12 flavors of yogurt that you can pick and choose and serve yourself from, including 6 nonfat ones on the occasion I visited. I chose the mango, cheesecake, tart, and wild berry. There were a number of toppings to choose from and they were pretty tasty. Once you've selected your yogurt and toppings, they weigh it for you and charge $.41/ounce, not the cheapest in town but pretty good for a mall location.Would I make a trip to the mall JUST to come here? Probably not. Would I come here every time I'm already at the mall for something else? You bet'cha!This place is clean, brightly colored, and they always seem to have pop music blasting. I LIKE this place!"

"The best thing about this place is the location! On a hot summer day in the High Desert feeling the cool whoosh of air as you step out of the 100+ degree heat into a nice little air conditioned oasis of a yogurt shop really hits the spot.Their selection isn't huge, but I know that for me if they've got chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry on a hot day I'm good!Prices are pretty reasonable.Don't forget that you can cool your heels next door at the coffee shop. "I noticed this bakery several months ago, but never stopped in until recently. They are located at a strip mall with a few other businesses. Plenty of parking available. This bakery serves more than just baked goods. They also sell lots of ice cream. I'll need to try that next time.Their baked goods are situated in display cases along the left wall when you walk into their shop. Grab some disposable gloves plus a plastic bag, and then pick the goodies you want to try. I chose some conchas (pan dulces) and a couple of cheesecake slices. The cheesecake was good. The conchas were still fresh, soft, and delicious.Prices were reasonable. The employee who assisted me only spoke Spanish. I used my "broken" Spanish skills to communicate which was no problem. Helped that the employee was friendly and polite. There are tables to sit and dine at. They also serve other food as well. Most important thing is that they sell Mexican bakery items so I'll be back whenever I'm in the neighborhood."

Short walk from my home and work, and love coming here for their burgers and sharing ice cream with my son.I usually order the salad, which is not fancy, but generous in size, enough to last two meals or to share with someone else. I also like their fries and hambugers. Granted, the place is a little dated, but the people are great, the food is good and the atmosphere is fun. For example, there was this lady that came through for an ice cream for her and her horse one day, where else can you see that? :-)"

It's not a 5 star restaurant, it's a local ice cream joint and not cold stone. The product is great, the customers that understand this are even greater. The customers who get really upset are the ones that take the wind out of everyone's sails. This location is up the street so I've been a few times now. Each time I've seen someone get pushy with the young people working their fingers to the bone rolling ice cream. The young people always keep their cool which is awesome to see and I'm sure this is just the tip of the customer service iceberg but still. The atmosphere is always nice and chill aside from some bad customers that keep coming back. I am looking forward to my next visit!"

Their black and white was good, it came with vanilla and chocolate ice cream, their marshmallow cream, whip cream and nuts but personally I like Dewars's black and white better. I asked for extra nuts and the nut taste balanced the sweetness. Their hot fudge was SWEET, no surprise but my older daughter got the choclate chip with ice cream sandwhich and it was smothered with hot fudge and it was too sweet for my taste. My younger daughter loved her root beer float! I do gotta mention, their portion servings are great!!!Our waitress was so sweet, very attentive but not too much. There's so many different places in Bakersfield and they are pretty similar, but this is the one we usually go to. This location is in small parking area with several other businesses. Parking is a hassle on most days, but if you can find a place to park then you can visit both this spot and the bakery next door.On my recent visit we didn't grab any paletas, we grabbed us some agua fresca and raspado. This is my favorite place to get agua fresca because their fresa is yummy. I like how they have the chunks of strawberries in their drink. If you love strawberries then this is the place to go. Their paletas are all homemade with fresh fruits and super refreshing on a hot day.There's so many other places that are similar to this spot, but this one is my favorite place. The staff is always friendly and the place always looks clean. Once in awhile there will be a line, but definitely worth it. If you can find a parking spot and you don't mind driving back around if there isn't one then you need to check this place out."

"I'm going to preface this review by stating that I'm not a big ice cream fan; I'm really more of a frozen yogurt kind of girl. Well, this is the place that might just change my mind!They had quite a few flavors of ice cream, cookies, and brownies. As I was perusing the menu and considering my options, a worker came out of the back and said, in the perkiest voice I've ever heard, "Would you like a sample?" And the sample was very generously sized, too! I'd been looking at the espresso chip flavor, but the big container was almost empty. There was only about 1/2 inch or less left in the bottom and I was thinking it'd probably taste kind of old and crusty. Well, I was WRONG! The flavor and texture was perfect! Very creamy!I was intrigued by the whole "build your own ice cream sandwich" option for only $2.50, so that's what I finally decided on. They have a number of different types of cookies - chocolate, chocolate chip, and sugar among others - and you get to choose any two cookies you like (usually $.45 each). Then you get to choose your ice cream flavor - I went with espresso chip, the one I'd tried in the sample. It was simply amazing! They put so much ice cream in between the two cookies that they had to put the ice cream sandwich in a little cup. I used my little sample spoon to eat about 1/3 of the ice cream before trying to get my mouth around it.Here's where it got exciting! The cookies were moist, fresh, and chewy - like someone homemade them and baked them just an hour before! These were REALLY good cookies at an ice cream place, not a bakery! Who knew! This was absolutely the best ice cream sandwich I've ever had. I'm already thinking about other combinations - strawberry cheesecake ice cream with the white chocolate chip cookies? Raspberry sorbet with the chocolate chips?They also serve several kinds of boba drinks ($3.75). They had a list of different flavors of coffee bobas, smoothie bobas, and tea bobas.The decor was cute and reminiscent of the 50's. They were even playing "The Great Pretender" by the Platters over the loudspeaker! There was also a refrigerated case with half gallons of Dreyers and Haagen Daz ice cream one could purchase to take home.This place is definitely one of my new favorites in town!!! You've got to try it!"

The possibilities are endless. So many types of fruit and candy/topping options! It was hard to decide so I let the guy add a variety of tamarindo candies to my fresh fruit. All of the fruit was sweet and the candies were delicious!! This location also serves crepes by Cafe Crepes. They look very good and have a variety of options to choose from. The only reason I gave them 4 instead of 5 stars is because there was only one person working and the wait was long when there were only 2 people in front of me."
