"I went to Sees Candies on California on Christmas Eve. I picked two stock pre packaged boxes of candy. One was 1lb and the other was a 2 lb box off the shelf. I then purchased another 2 lb box of candies I picked out from the display. There was never more than 3 people in the shop while I was there. One of the customers that was checking out was all smiley and polite and asked how much was a single piece of candy and the older woman that was at the register just kind of danced around the question. Eventually the patron was asked what she wanted, and the smile was gone. She said never mind and departed the store with her purchase. I thought that was odd. I make it to the register and the bill is $150. The same checker after all of the transaction is complete and my items are bagged and in my hand says, would you like a piece of candy. It seemed painful for her to ask, but I said sure, I like that kind right there. Without a word she slowly turns to another employee and orders her lunch. She then leaves the counter area and walks back and forth a couple of times until she finds some latex gloves. She then starts to put her gloves on like she is ready to perform surgery. Somewhere between the first glove and the second glove I left. Now I think I know why the customer in front of me came in smiling and left without a smile. Kinda ticked me off too. Why? I don't know. Look I thing Sees has the best candy, I love it and recommend it for people that like that sort of thing, but this is twice in two years that the service aggravated me. I guess me bad."

"I went to the shopping center the other day and I had heard about this from someone but had forgotten where this was. So I happened to see it and so I decided to stop in to see the bible selections because I needed a new one. I arrived just right before the store opened at 10 a.m. I was so happy to find this place the staff are super friendly and were happy to see myself along with three others waiting to go in. Its a nice size store great location, and its beautifully set up. There are gifts and t-shirts and books and everything you could want. I know this will be a happy place for me to shop. I looked all around and decided with help from Darellyn on a bible, and on another item. I had almost missed the bible I purchased but she was helpful and I got the perfect one for me. There is inspirational music playing while you shop and I'm so happy to have found this place, I've already told a few about it. I plan to return soon as I spotted a few other things that I must have. So if you are looking for a place to get inspirational gifts, bibles, books we now have a place. One more thing, after your purchase you receive a blessing card. This is a punch card and after each purchase it gets marked off. There are special offers you receive and the staff will explain all that to you."

"This is going to be my new favorite store as well! I went in on the tip of my fellow yelper and boy was she right. There is soooo much to see when you look around. This is not like other antique stores that are sometimes too cluttered or disheveled. Au contraire, it is so neat and organized with excellent prices and everything is in good condition. The ladies in there were super friendly as well, even talking to my dad that looked a little lost while he waited for me. I picked up a few things for myself and they packaged them beautifully with ribbon and a fresh pine needle. They take all cards except AmEx. "This is a great store for children and their parents. It's close to Edwards Cinema so the kids can go buy the candies they want. I took my grandzon and he found hands and feet and pickle hands. "The only shop for many miles: Death Valley National Park We've been through here a few times driving to/from Las Vegas (twice in 2011). It is located in the Stovepipe Wells Village across cottage motels, restaurant, and a saloon. The country store is also a souvenir shop offering some unique items and novelty gifts. They also have a wide range of snacks, drinks and sandwiches for a quick bite. During COVID-19 times you may find yourself waiting in line to get inside the store as they limit the number of people inside for social distancing. It can get busy but the cashiers are fast getting you in and out and on your merry way. We stopped here a couple of times during our recent visit to Death Valley... Outside the store you'll see some historic wagons and some authentic western stuff. There are benches on the side of the store and some rocking chairs in front. The whole area is busy with tourists which only means parking can be challenging during their busy season. The parking area is huge, though. There are restrooms on location and a gas station adjacent to the store (super expensive), ranger station, and also a tent and RV campground on site. "Pacific Treasures & Gourmet is a great store in the heart of Visalia's beautiful Main Street. This place is chocked full of premium kitchenware, gadgets and many other household items will give any high end chain store in any larger city a run for its money. I stopped in a few weeks ago after having lunch on Main Street and was happy to see a store of such quality. Prices are so-so. The service, however, did not match the caliber of the store with not so much as a thank you when receiving my change because the clerk was preoccupied with another employee. Said clerk was so preoccupied that she also forgot to charge me for a candle, then proceeded to make excuses when I went back to pay for it over an hour later after realizing that I wasn't charged. Get it together, lady. I'll be nice and only subtract one star for the clerk with bad customer service skills."
