"It's clean, the service is great and the food is delicious. Highly recommend their tri-tip sandwiches. It's good just with bbq sauce."
"The owner has been here forever! His son is usually the guy to talk to if you need anythingThey keep the store pretty clean and stocked! Always some type of deal going on. I've been hook d on Elysian space dust so I've been stopping by more than usual. Cold beer, great snacks, and a good variety of alcohol. What more could you want?"
"The only Jersey Mike's location in all of America where you can also enjoy one of Indian Wells Brewing Company's beers on the porch while overlooking the Eastern Sierra's. Life is good!!"
"I can't tell what I like more, the ambiance, or the decor. I have a hard time figuring out which i like more, the ambiance, or the decor. the roma sandwich is the ultimate sleeper shadow wizard gang choice of sandwich because it is so infatuating with the perfect blend of salamis, peppers, and cheese together. I ate the entire bag of chips including the wrapper so i don't know what brand they were but the jalapeño chips are always a must. I saw that they had ice cream and gave it a shot, 1/4 for 99¢ like you know i'm hopping on that deal faster than a crackhead on a pipe. So the awesome worker went and defrosted the ice cream (that's beyond an extra mile i mean, we're talking at least 2 miles) and came back with like half a pint and let me take it. THEY DONT DO THIS ANYWHERE ELSE ARE WE FR RIGHT NOW? Great deli great place great people and even greater sandwiches (and wraps!)"
"My family and I come into American deli at least once a day. Amazing customer service everytime & the best brews to choose from!"
"Worked all over California for fire and forestry and this place holds a special place in my heart. This German bakery has savory sandwiches, sweet desserts, and good imported beer Highly recommend the Poor Boy Prost!"
"Cesar's Deli has been my go to lately when it comes to catering! I will say the food is absolutely tasty and prices are great! The Penne pasta with the Alfredo sauce has been one of the top hits for sure! Whenever I've arrived with that pasta in hand you can literally smell the deliciousness as soon as I walk in. In the last two weeks I've ordered from here about 3 times and every office always asked where the food was from before I left because they enjoyed it so much. The sandwich platters are huge, and feed much more then you would think especially when paired with pasta. The cookie tray is also so good! So don't skip out on dessert if you're ordering from the catering menu. So worth it! The staff is also super great, and always provide serving spoons and help me carry out my order!"
"This place saved me time and money when I was searching for a speciality drink for a Christmas gift. I was amazed at the wall of booze, all very high quality. Excited to try more items very soon. The owner was very knowledgeable and was able to answer a few questions I had. Looked at the deli but didn't grab anything this trip. I did see they had toungue I wonder if it is as good as Pyreneeses. They do seem to have sandwich specials."
"Friendly staff friendly environment. Dillon and Bailey were working hard It was our first time visiting after seeing it more than once and we finally tried it. Food menu is simple but the taste is fantastic"
"Had a sandwich. Good, kind of pricey. Lots of exotic drinks and juices. Sells sliced meat as well, Boar's Head, a great named brand. No beer yet, always says its coming soon. https://www.facebook.com/California-City-Deli-109121763790720/?__tn__=kC-R&eid=ARAxt5xpvRMeI_G920ZfXEdxRBEeIj67_ELYfhiAUm5GofWZCWW2gm2kaiVFdSzRffxz2ex3t0RmETFt&hc_ref=ARR8k7mgFMeLkJs-z1j6aTuKv83fWc7vR-O9l8ad90bb36LSVl3uoXkczLBdw0nF6_0&fref=nf&__xts__[0]=68.ARA21DGJwzxM4gpAyN3T0NwZkMnUlWrqv87_ERAv31Nhgdvk7xBHdOruDVzd97UAnLDYmHFkHZrjwhHnBYo_iDGXRixaiyE9BoASMhoROxoPt-ngtxzmlhIIJq-uhmkUusDd02k4infBkWk_ll9BL3VsIT45TbkUMOpO5iySB6MEGKabQuNzg67uNb1EcvbgDuJf9RBjjrPP7e1UaVtqr6eVkZ7T6c_2PC0Ml7mLGZ4xZOYeZ-GM47uR2RGW8CUvUGFb0-ZEAMmH-ycm76eLzVW7ixK6D_hdiSVCHvLv3TdmcHl_9U6my8Ub7COAMN-ANJL2n1qoLwdLlwtQmAoD4KQ"
"Great place. Extremely attentive and polite. It was quite busy, making parking a bit of a pain though. With gas stations on nearly every corner, the only thing which truly separates them is service. Four Stars because parking was limited."
"Manhattan Deli conveniently off the 99 freeway. It caught my eye because I thought, finally, some place that's not a chain like McDonald's or Subway. I was not disappointed. I got the pastrami sandwich. It tastes similar to pastrami at The Hat for those in Southern California. It has the right amount of salty and greasy that I like with fast food pastrami sandwiches. One thing that's different is that they put tomato slices and mayonnaise in the sandwich too. I think the mayonnaise makes it taste much better compared to mustard. Give this place a try if you're in the area."

I used Caesar's II Delicatessen to order a meat & cheese tray for our family's Christmas Eve party. The tray comes with meats, cheeses, olives, and a bag of Pyrenees sourdough French bread party slices. The tray I purchased served 14 people. I've ordered these trays thru the years and they never disappoint. The folks at Caesar's II are just the friendliest! Even though the place may be packed and busy busy, the staff is nothing but calm and courteous! There is a great atmosphere and you'll feel welcome as soon as you walk in. Give them a go...you won't regret it. PS Caesar's II has great freshly made sandwiches, salads, desserts, etc.

Best Liqour store in town. Also they have great customer service and a tasteful selection of wine, Liqour, and a beer cave with great IPA's. Every time I walk into this store it's good vibes only.

We're from Bakersfield, but I instantly transported to Germany! I can't get enough of this bakery. I love everything about it: the ambiance, the gift shop, the decor, the food & the pastries! When we travel through the 58 we always have to come here. We usually get the eclairs (such as big size! So worth it!), the cream puffs, & pies!

Caesar's has been a favorite since the 80's back when it was on Niles St. I love that the sandwich's still are made the same, please don't change anything, my go to is the Venice! Our cashier was a very friendly guy we ordered salami, ham and cheese to make a charcuterie board and he was making sure he sliced them just as we preferred. I appreciate his service and attention to detail. The only negative was the eating area was not clean, tables needed cleaning and the floor was a filthy mess.

I love country club not only for their vast selection of craft beer/ alcohol, but their deli!I am completely obsessed with the Italian sandwich. Just have to ask for light condiments because it gets messy. Good bread and fresh deli meats/ cheeses. This is always a top contender with City Sandwich, my other fave. Nothing fancy about it but it doesn't have to be!!

"The employees are so friendly and always in a good mood. The food is delicious and you can see them cooking it. They make your tritip sandwich right in front of you."
"Super friendly staff and helpful. Food was prepared on time and was solid. We got the tri tip sandwich and wrap. The kids got burgers. For a market in the Sierras, it was great. Limited selection of supplies."
"Weird hours, close at 1:30 and expensive! food is decent! Not the friendliest place but it's close to work so it's convenient."
"Despite my dislike of pickles, I was willing to overlook the name of this deli and pick up our sandwiches from here for our picnic in Sequoia. I much prefer to support local chains rather and generally prefer the quality of them too. This spot was a great choice! My turkey sandwich was loaded with meat and all the other toppings I love were fresh. I love that they offered black olives. The only thing that could have made it better was if there was a variety of mustards available. For instance, I prefer a deli or spicy mustard to plain yellow but there's at least only one option listed on the online order form."
"I'm so glad Jersey Mike's came to Delano. Their sandwiches are fabulous. I have to say service has improved in the last several weeks from day one that they opened. And I know it'll get better with time. Staff is very friendly and try hard to please their customers which is very important. Plenty of parking the inside of the building is a little tight, but well worth the sandwich."
"Bruh, they need to change the name of this place to Sloth Slow Smoothies. Taste is good though."
"This is a brand new family owned and operated butcher shop. 3rd generation in the business. It just so happens that it is also owned by my brother and his wife, Hector and Candice Garcia. This is a butcher shop and Deli with high quality meats and exceptional service. All are welcome, truly. Sandwiches are my fav! Can't get enough - I recommend the chipotle Mayo on just about anything! Go in and check them out."
"When you hear the title, you assume it's all yogurt in this place. But when you walk in, you see all the pictures of the amazing food they have here, which makes this place that much more exciting! They have the best sandwiches. Everything tastes fresh and flavorful. Love the Albondigas soup. I tried the PioPio salad also. It has yummy grilled chicken, a stir fry veggie mix, fresh avocado, and green salad mix. You can get it dry or mixed with mayo. It's enough for 2 or 3! Everything I've ever ordered from here is amazing. Can't wait to try everything else on the menu!!! Can't beat a place with fresh soup, salads, and sandwichesHope they stick around forever."
"The previous reviewer accurately described this as a cross between "The Hills Have Eyes" and "Texas Chainsaw Massacre." But don't let the fact that it looks like an EZ-Up Shed deter you. The food is delicious, and it earned an A on it's health inspection, so what's not to like? My husband ordered the Chili Colorado burrito, which he said was delicious, and the carne asada soft tacos (which I ordered) were also good--but SPICY because of their hot sauce, which looks like red chilis ground into a paste. The prices are extremely reasonable, and the food is fresh. It's definitely 100 times better than stopping at Taco Bell or McDonald's. Oh, and now they take debit cards. If you're ever in the middle of nowhere and need something to eat, try this place. You won't regret it!"
"Not only do they make an amazing sandwich, but they have Dutch crunch bread! This place is located directly across the street from Fresno State and luckily I got here just as the lunch rush was starting around 11am. I went with a cold Italian sandwich for lunch and an order of beer batters fries. This sandwich comes with pastrami, salami, pepperoni, and provolone cheese. I got it with the works; onions, peppers, lettuce, oil vinegar, the whole 9 yards. You can tell they put care into their products because everything on this sandwich tasted super fresh. I went with the 8-inch and probably would've been fine with the 6-inch since I also ordered a side of fries. The portions here do not disappoint. We all know it really makes a sandwich is the bread and their Dutch crunch bread was fantastic. Also called Tiger Bread, the spread is super soft on the inside with a nice crunchy top. They make it by brushing a paste of rice flour, sugar, water, and yeast over the bread partway through rising process in the oven. If you see this on the menu anywhere, order it, trust me it's a flavor and textural explosion. You can dine in, get your order to go, or order through their website for delivery or curbside. The inside is pretty basic with a few tables and a small TV in the corner. Perfect if you're looking to get off your feet and fill your tummy. Parking is tight and like I said, I got here right before the lunch rush which had the line almost going out the door. Snack smart Central Valley Yelpers!"
"Been wanting to check out this place but never got the chance until today. Got a lettuce wrap cheeseburger with fries. so good! So much flavor! The staff was friendly and helpful the service was great! The ambiance in the ambiance was great such a family friendly place we really enjoyed this place will be returning!"
"Went for lunch on a Thursday, it was very busy so that was a good sign that the food must be very good. Well I was right. We had the lunch special Brisket sandwich with fries and bottomless soda fountain drinks.Sandwich was awesome! With pickles and a little coleslaw with sides of BBQ sauce and salsa.Service was friendly, fast and efficient. We will be back again."
"The Wee Vill market is easy to miss on hwy 138 just before you enter Lancaster.170 and 190 street.Don't miss it . Hit the breaks and pull in!I was heading to San Diego from Elk Grove (Sacramento County). It was dark, about six o'clock. Fog, cold air, darkness....Sheryl and I were hungry after driving 8 hours.Wee Vill is warm, inviting and we immediately knew this was a home style restaurant featuring all the home style Mexican food a family loves. The menu is large. Everything served is made there...from scratch. I had the special Chicken Shawrma. Sheryl had tacos. The dishes were served hot and quickly. The chef was enthusiastic and anxious to make her guests feel comfortable. The portions did not disappoint. All right look, once in a great while we find that little restaurant in the middle of nowhere that is a gem. Wee Vill is just that type of discovery.....slam on the breaks and get on in. Take your appetite."
"Great local market. They've got a deli in back and make great pizzas. Saturdays they get an outdoor BBQ going and serving by noon. Cool place that has good prices, friendly staff and open till 10pm."
"Luigis is a staple in Old Town Kerns, Bakersfield. My broworker's Nona approves so I know Luigis is as authentic as it gets without flying to Italy. Reservations highly recommended, they were pretty busy when we came by for lunch on a Wednesday. The weather was lovely so we decided to sit outside to enjoy the sunshine. Cassie took great care of us the whole time we were there. The menu was glorious with so many delicious options to pick from. My bro boss ordered their Truffle App ($17.50/small) for the four of us to share. It comes with a sliced loaf of sourdough for you to dip into the delicious sauce. This truffle app is like glorious pasta truffle purses. SO DELICIOUS. As for our entrees, I focused on the lunch specials to help myself narrow things down. I decided on their half order of Lasagna ($13.75) and my broworkers all got their Cole's Steak Sandwich ($24.95/each) which comes with thinly sliced ny steak with grilled onions and pepperjack cheese in a toasted soft roll. Okay okay maybe I should have confirmed and gotten that too, but my lasagna was really delicious. The half portion was still a mighty size and I easily got food coma after my meal. It was a good thing they had a cute gift shop with Italian imports as well as local Bakersfield goods for purchase. We picked out some thoughtful gifts to make gift baskets for our clients. I really love the family-vibes I get from the business both on the restaurant side and the giftshop side. I know this will be my first of many many visits to Luigis. I am definitely a fan and looking forward to coming back to try more of their menu."
"Bomb guys! It's crazy that I literally used to live around the corner and I never visited. I started visiting years ago and I feel like I've missed out all these years. If you know me, I love me some freebies so one year I looked up all the places I could get goodies for my birthday and Jersey Mike's was one of them. I tried it for the first time one year on my birthday because when you sign up to their rewards program online then on your birthday you get a sub.Anytime I have visited it has always been to go and the service is always fantastic. I always order on the app and my order is always ready when I get there. I've been there when they were super busy and ordering on the app/online will save you tons of time because they'll place your sandwich on the pickup shelf. I am not the biggest fan of sandwiches, so if I'm raving about a sandwich place then in my opinion it is high quality sandwich... again that is only my very own opinion. The place is always clean, you always see the staff wearing gloves when handling food and the veggies look fresh. Staff is always pretty friendly and they are probably on rotation when I'm craving for a sandwich with 2 other sandwich places that I hold at a high regard. I definitely think you should give them a chance if you have never tried Jersey Mike's."
"My first impression was the ladies behind the counter were hustling. There were a few people inside but I could see online orders coming in. Everyone there, even the customers, were super friendly and it was very clean inside. They have a fantastic selection from drinks, to chips, to sandwiches. I decided to try two sandwiches. A California Cheesesteak Reuben SandwichThe Reuben was loaded with pastrami, the thousand island dressing was creamy and tasted amazing with the sauerkraut. The CA cheesesteak was insanely good! Personal favorite. The meat was so tender, the bread was nice and chewy, the bacon was smokey, the grilled onions added a slight sweetness, the tomatoes were fresh, I loved the addition of thousand island but the pickles, ya'll! I never realized how much I needed pickles on a cheesesteak sandwich. My goodness! Going forward, I'll eat the hot sandwiches at the restaurant as the bread softens due to the heat. But no regrets because they were fantastic!Btw... check out their board for their daily deals! If I would've paid attention, I would've ordered a panini and had $3 off."
"Grubby sandwich made in front of you deli style - fresh ingredients - very good and fair pricing for a big sandwich. Give it a shot!"
"It's tradition to stop in here every trip out to the Kern River. Lots of supplies, snacks, ice, gear, bait and well stocked store that has saved us in a pinch. The mean reason I stop here is for a burger with fries and a chocolate shake!!! Food is so good and I always enjoy all the craft souvenirs available. From woodsy figurines of bears, fisherman and local wildlife to magnets and wall art, it's truly a small general store with a big feel to it. The family that runs it is always so kind and friendly. When not too busy in there it's nice to chat with them a bit! Great advice on bait and fishing!"
"It's not a fancy place, just a few tables in what's basically a little store, but if you want authentic Pakistani food, and I recommend it, this is the place. I had a Pakistani chicken stew, with rice, and it was fantastic. One warning, though. If you don't like hot, spicy food, let them know, or you will get some very spicy food. Let them know, and they'll take care of you. If you DO like spicy food, , like me, they've got you covered."
"I am originally from the AV, and will go up there a few times a year. This last trip - for a belated Father's Day and Anniversary celebration for my father in law and his wife - e got food to go from here. Hands down, these sandwiches and salads and creations were the best that I have ever had. My stepsister who placed the order is painfully detailed, but they were very patient and professional with her, and they did a tremendous job. I also want to give a shout out for the seasonal fruit salad. I did get it with chicken and it was amazing. I could eat that salad everyday. It came with a strawberry dressing, but for me Italian or another dressing might be better. All that aside - this restaurant was awesome and definitely besides seeing family - Best of Europe was the Best of the AV, bar none."
"I doordashed a chicken rice bowl and it was so good! Really hit the spot. Also tried a turkish delight! So delicious! I will be back and hope to visit in person next time! Thank you!"
"The staff are very friendly and helpful. I found siopao (sho-pow I think), which is essentially the Filipino way of saying Chinese siubao (shuh-bow) - pork buns! Yes, in Bakersfield, I know right?! She also had what could be best described as banana fried spring rolls, a sweet and tasty dessert that is lightly crispy. Also, fried mochi balls that are lightly crispy and sweet. There was also Jubes, basically coconut cubes in flavored juice that are chewy / gummy almost like boba / tapioca pearls. Plenty of other Filipino dishes / treats / snacks to choose from."
