"I got a CRISPY CHICKEN SANDWICH and my sister got a COBB SALAD. I personally loved my sandwich it was really good. The fries were just okay, nothing special. The service was great, our server was super kind and calm. This restaurant was super cute and well decorated, I liked the way it was small yet they made it look spacious."
"This is our third time here and we cannot have enough of their delicious food! I ordered their Birria tacos w/cheese and they were absolutely mouth watering! The amount of meat and cheese on these tacos just hit every taste bud in your mouth! Seems like this is a new item on their menu. Must try!!!"

"Mango Haus in Downtown Bakersfield is such a special place! Located in the beautifully converted Hill House, it's like stepping into a tropical oasis, even though the surrounding area might seem a bit iffy--don't let that stop you. Mango Haus has come a long way from its early days as a vegan spot (with another name) in the Southwest, and you can truly feel the passion the team pours into every dish. Everything is made fresh, and it shows in the flavors and care that go into the food. With a great lineup of fun cocktails, it's the perfect spot to meet up with friends, relax, and enjoy the laid-back, vibrant atmosphere. Mango Haus has definitely earned a spot in my heart!"
"Everything was delicious! Not pictured was the calamari, which I wish we had ordered more of. Cozy atmosphere and our server was great. While the food took a bit of time, it was worth the wait!"
"Probably the best if not it's a tie ! Great food fair prices quick friendly service! One of our go to places!"
"Another super good dinner. Food was so good. Only bested by the service. A+. All our food was tasty. Great atmosphere, bar showing the games. Beer was yum and the deserts were amazing. Cant wait o go back."

The 18hundred is an easy choice for lunch in downtown. Service today was topnotch and the food did not disappoint. Deviated from my usual salad option and instead had the sammy/soup combo. I opted for the turkey club and tomato soup.Food came to our tables pretty quickly. Was pleasantly surprised that the sandwich was a full sandwich. It was perfectly toasted, packed with turkey, avo, and bacon. I only could get through half and saved the other half for dinner. The tomato soup was thick yet smooth, and quite balanced. It ate more like a tomato bisque than anything. Yum.I've never had a bad meal here to date. Might come back soon.

My burger needed a little more seasoning while the fried zucchini was solid. I met friends staying at the RV park and they enjoyed their meal. It's a good choice if you're camping there. The service is good too.

I'll start this saying, I miss Manuel's. That's not a dig on Mango Haus. I met a friend for brunch. Love the decor, the natural light transports you somewhere else. It's like you're on an island vacation. The bottomless mimosas helped. The food is flavorful. Get the Patatas Bravas (spicy potatoes) omg... yum. Avocado smash was flavorful and the side salad was refreshing after the heaviness of the toast. Friendly staff. Great for brunch.

Bill Lee's has been a long going staple in Bakersfield since 1938.I remember coming to Bakersfield in the 1970s to visit family for the summer, and this would be one of our go-to spots. Honestly, not much has changed as far as decor goes, I think the only thing that's really changed are the tables and chairs since the booths still look the same. Over the past few years, the menu has downsized considerably, and they no longer offer a lunch special menu. One thing Bill Lee's is Bakersfield famous for is their Mai Tai's, if you know, you know. What keeps me coming back to Bill Lee's is their Chow Mein. I'm a sucker for the way they make it. Their plating has not changed in all the years I've been coming here, and if you paid attention to the beginning of my review, you can guess I passed my younger years a few years back. Getting back to Bill Lee's review. Another thing that has changed is the service. It's not what it used to be. They are not so as attentive as they used to be, and the male host looked like he was getting ready to go ride a fancy skateboard up and down the sidewalk.I understand that over the past recent years the restaurant business and service industry has changed and for an old schooler like me, it's tough to get a grip on. We did get here just after 3pm so it's possible that they were between shifts. I ordered the Mandarin combination plate. It came with the customary bowl of egg flower soup and oyster crackers. My plate consists of Almond chicken chow mein soft noodles, fried rice, three fried shrimp, and three bbq pork spare ribs. My husband ordered the combination plate that gave you a few different options, he chose the pork chow mein soft noodles, fried rice and the sweet and sour chicken. I was satisfied with my dish. My husband said that the sweet and sour chicken was dry due to they use white meat vs dark meat. All in all, Bill Lee's is very consistent with their food. It's nice place to treat your friends and family out to a semi fancy place for lunch or dinner. You don't have to get overly dressed up to enjoy a nice meal at a mid-scale restaurant. They do offer a few American food items to choose from as well, prices start at around $15.00

Gino's is a staple in our family. They actually hosted a funeral reception for a family member of ours and are in their back room. The pizza is absolutely incredible. My four year-old tears it up. I love the pastas and the salad truly is Italian. Coming from a Italian based family where my dad made pizzas from Italy definitely brought brings me back to when I was a child on some other dishes. I wish I remembered to take pictures will update again soon with pictures. Honestly, the ambience of the restaurant is absolutely beautiful. It's quiet it's clean. It's well taken care of and the service is always served with a smile. We love it here.

My wife and I can't get enough of this place! When you visit, you MUST get the Badmash fries, they taste amazing and that's BEFORE you dip them in the house gravy! We get the Kheer, Sliders and Randy's Patty Melt too (luckily, the fries are on the side of the Patty Melt) and always end up sharing our orders with each other because they have so much taste. My favorite drink is the Espresso Martini, Karen makes them perfectly! She's always there to serve us and definitely gives a vibe of an old friend happy to see you again. Every time we walk out, we can't wait until next time. Definitely worth a visit!

I remember Mexicali used to be the place to be back in the day. I can't believe that it's still hopping. We went there recently and it was just packed full of people saw some celebrities and had a pretty good time. Food it's your typical Mexican food. Everything was good nothing to complain about. Drinks were great. Great service.

"We had such a great afternoon at Harrington House ! Great food, great service and delicious drinks !"
"First time coming here!! I've always heard of this restaurant but I just never had the chance to try out. My friend really likes this restaurant and so we all chose this as our place for dinner! I ordered the Burrito Especial and our dishes came out probably 10 minuted later? It was pretty quick or maybe my friends and I were so busy catching up that lots of time has passed. But still, the food arrived 10-15 min later and it was delicious oh my. I jusy love burritos so much. Their chips and salsas were really good. Especially the salsa and I'm not really a salsa typa person but that salsa was addicting. The interior of the restaurant was also something i liked. It felt very home-y :) the only thing i noticed was lack of ?? Air conditioning. Or maybe it was just me. I felt like I was slightly sweaty through out the meal."
"I love this place. Our cigar club loves coming here. We love the food, drinks and vibrant environment. The owner is amazing and very accommodating. Great place on the blvd"
"What a great place to enjoy a brunch with the wife. Perfect small place for Bakersfield. The service was good and the food was amazing. We got a flight of mimosas, chili verde omelette, and a C.F.S. (Chicken Fried Steak) Burrito. The prices aren't outrageous and the portions are perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience here. I recommend Mimosa Cafe to anyone trying to relax and enjoy a breakfast, brunch, or lunch. We will definitely be returning for another great experience."
"Braised was absolutely delicious and the service was phenomenal. When you walk in you are greeted by a beautiful ambiance. We decided to celebrate our anniversary dinner here and it was a wonderful experience. Our server was very attentive and genuinely friendly. The food was well made and thoughtfully prepared. The flavor that each dish offered was exquisite, with a perfect balance of seasoning and freshness. From the appetizers to the dessert, everything was executed with care and precision. The portions were just right, and the presentation was elegant. It's clear that the staff and chefs take pride in what they do, and it truly elevated our anniversary celebration. We left feeling satisfied, cherished, and eager to return. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience!"
"Let's lead off with this: the food is a cut above here. It's always odd to review a place that is in the middle of nowhere. If it's a good restaurant but not a great one, still, you are super happy it's there. You might not rate it on the same level as, say, really great restaurant in San Diego, but you might give it four or five stars all the same because you're just so happy that it's there. That is not the case with this. If you put this restaurant in the middle of San Diego and definitely for sure in Los Angeles, this would still rank among the best Mexican restaurants. It's really that good. I mention San Diego or Los Angeles because, let's face it, you're just not going to beat Mexican food in Mexico.I ordered Pescado Blanco a la Plancha ("Grilled White Fish"). It was prepared perfectly and came with delicious vegetables that were sauteed to perfection. Everything was excellent, including the handmade tortillas. The people there were super friendly. The chef - and yes, I am going to use the word "chef" and not "cook" - came out to make certain that we liked it. They really make you feel at home. The place is a hole-in-the-wall but is kept very clean and pleasant looking. Now I am going to mention all the things that makes some people squirm. 1.) There are no prices on the menu. If you have an issue with that, ask before you order.2.) The chef and the person serving our order don't have great English skills. I know some of you may feel uncomfortable, but quite frankly, they are so friendly that you needn't worry, and the can take orders without any issue anyway. When you get into deeper conversations such as the chef apologizing to us in Spanish that he didn't learn that much English because everyone around him always spoke Spanish, then it might help to have some Spanish skills. Bottom line: if you want some of the best Mexican food in Southern California, give this a try."
"My family and I went in to Moo for dinner last night and it was really busy. We waited a while for our table which is to be expected since it was a Friday night and Moo is one of the best restaurants in town. I noticed all of the employees were running around and doing an excellent job and as soon as we were sat we were told about the daily specials and Victoria specifically recommended the PB burger. It was delicious and I will eat it again. My family and I had a great time and we will be back. The staff at Moo are probably the hardest working and most efficient wait staff I have seen in a restaurant."
