"This was a fantastic dinner spot on our motorcycle trip through the area. It was nice and warm inside to warm us up before going camping in Alabama hills. The restaurant is small inside but the circular design is very neat! We had a big table in the middle for all 9 of us. My hubby and I split the flat noodle bowl with beef, chicken, shrimp and veggies. It was delicious and they provide a nice big portion for the $21 it costs. The table also got some appetizers that were good. I loved the Chinese new year paper place mats and the decor within the round restaurant. Plus they provided fortune cookies at the end which is always a star in my book. I would definitely come here is you are looking for this sort of cuisine. It hits the spot during a camping trip!"
"I love this place. I'm a Thai food fan and feel that this is one of the best around! Definitely better than 95% of those in LA. I am so happy to share this place with my friends who visit and several ask for me to place an order when they're in town! I wish they had delivery as I have to go through an expensive third party, but even so it is worth it. Food 5+ stars. Recommend all of it. Especially their pineapple fried rice, pad see ew, & honey ribs. The restaurant itself is ok. That's a 3 star for ambiance, but the food is their star. Service when I dine in is always excellent. When you have friends in LA demand we order from them, you know it is great!"
"Great Castle is our go-to Chinese spot . The food is great. The menu is so big it's hard to choose a dish. The service has always been top notch.I know they are closing down soon, and that makes me very sad. This place is the best in town."
"Probably the best if not it's a tie ! Great food fair prices quick friendly service! One of our go to places!"
"Amazing food, wonderful prices, great people. True to life Chinese food atmosphere Highly recommend for over 30 years."
"This was actually my second time visiting Wok It Out. The first time I visited, I forgot to leave a review. This time around I visited around 1:30 in the afternoon, which was well after the lunch rush when I entered the establishment it was completely empty, but I was greeted right away by the very friendly employees she quickly took my order which consisted two 2 item plates. One of my plates I ordered orange chicken and beef and broccoli. The beef and broccoli that they had in the serving tray was low so the employee asked if I mind waiting just a few minutes and they would make me fresh bread and broccoli which I very much appreciated .My other plate consisted of orange chicken and mushroom chicken. Both were fresh tasting and full of flavor. For my two plates, it ended up coming to a total of $20 and just a few cents. For the amount that we were given, I definitely believe that that's a fair price and I will definitely be back if not for the customer service alone. The restaurant was very clean and up kept. everything seems to be well organized."
"Delicious food. The curry chicken was on point. The sweet and sour pork was savory. The orange chicken was unique and the best I've ever had. Server was a little blunt, but got everything correct. Outside it doesn't look like much. Inside is traditional. Price was great. Overall great value. I live out of town, but this will be our go to place when in Hanford."
"When we come to Visalia we always come and eatHere. They have fresh and great Chinese food. The waitresses are always kind, helpful and friendly. We always get the same from the menu. My husband gets broccoli beef and sweet and sour pork it comes with chow Mein and rice also egg roll and wontons and a bowl of egg flour soup. My mother in law Gets the sweet And sour chicken plate that also comes with noodles and rice. She loves this. My daughter gets the teriaky chicken only she asks not to put the teriaky sauce and she get sweet and sour sauce instead. I always get Vegetales noodles. It is very delicious. They make it not to oily and very flavorful. This is one of our favorite places to eat Chinese food. If you are in Visalia pay them a visit!! Really great food. Friendly and fast service."
"Hey I've been going to this spot since 1987 when I moved to Bakersfield The food has gotten better and better over the years not worse like some old school establishment so whatever they're doing they're doing it well The egg shrimp foo young is always on point cuz that's what I always get My partner got sweet and sour pork The service is on point they're quick and the food is hot definitely recommend it when you're on the east side of town across from BC can't go wrong"
"My wife was in the mood for some Chinese food but also really wanted to find a place that had steamed buns. Lucky for us they did; she was sold! She went with an unusual choice for her main entree, the mandarin chicken plate with two sides of white rice. Mandarin Chicken: She didn't think the mandarin chicken was going to be as spicy as the kung pao chicken, but for someone who doesn't eat spice; beware, it's spicy! She said the chicken was tender, worked well with the white rice and the veggies that were with the chicken. The only thing that stopped her from finishing it was the spice. Semi win for the wife. Pork steamed buns: the bun was soft, but the flavor from the pork wasn't good. My wife and I took a bite and what was supposed to be excitement for finally finding buns quickly subsided into "no thank you." Pass. Doesn't have good flavor in our opinion.Custard steamed buns: like the pork buns, the bun itself was soft, decent flavor. The custard to me reminded me of cake batter. Normally I'm not one for cake batter but it was delicious! My wife didn't think so! She wasn't a fan of the custard. Final Thoughts: she really liked the presentation, some of the flavors and wants to try other things from the menu. It's a win for my wife and a win for me for the custard buns."
"I went during the week at lunch time to try this place on my lunch break. The ambiance: It was not busy at all it was quiet and we. It did not disappoint. I had a lunch special that had orange chicken beef broccoli chow mein and fried rice. My thing is chow mein. You have to have good chow mein and this place had it. The service was fine, waitress was nice. Now I have two great options restaurant wise to choose from. This place and new star China. I'll definitely come back to dine in would love to try their other plates."
"The beef and chicken teriyaki is so delicious! They grill the meat and it comes out so tender. The person helping was so sweet. She was very welcoming and helpful. The shrimp is also super good!"

Best Chinese Food in California.Point blank and the period. This was a delightful and unexpected top-notch final meal and excellent ending to an excellent year.En transit, from Tahoe to LA on NYE we were lucky enough to get a table right before the rush. This is clearly the local favorite and hands-down the best restaurant in Lone Pine & probably the best restaurant on the 395.First of all, the best egg drops soup I've ever had.Secondly, they make their own soy sauce, which is absolutely delicious. 12/10 for the hot and spicy shrimp!!4thly - no lie, the best orange chicken I've ever had.Last but not least, this was one of the most unique and amazing restaurants I've ever been in. Have to be honest, it's so small with so many tables packed in, even the bathroom space is super small so that you literally feel like you're eating in a restaurant in New York, that might not be everyone's slice of pie, but it made me feel like I was in Manhattan and honestly that feeling is magical.I would call this a Destination Location restaurant.Extremely highly recommended

Shandra's is my go to spot for Thai food in Palmdale! I've had both take out and dine in. and it's been solid both times. The Pad Thai tastes really authentic and doesn't have that ketchup taste some other places have. The seafood tom yum had a generous amount of seafood in it and flavor was so good! Other unique and delicious menu items are the honey ribs and beef jerky appetizer. My mouth is drooling writing this review!

Bill Lee's has been a long going staple in Bakersfield since 1938.I remember coming to Bakersfield in the 1970s to visit family for the summer, and this would be one of our go-to spots. Honestly, not much has changed as far as decor goes, I think the only thing that's really changed are the tables and chairs since the booths still look the same. Over the past few years, the menu has downsized considerably, and they no longer offer a lunch special menu. One thing Bill Lee's is Bakersfield famous for is their Mai Tai's, if you know, you know. What keeps me coming back to Bill Lee's is their Chow Mein. I'm a sucker for the way they make it. Their plating has not changed in all the years I've been coming here, and if you paid attention to the beginning of my review, you can guess I passed my younger years a few years back. Getting back to Bill Lee's review. Another thing that has changed is the service. It's not what it used to be. They are not so as attentive as they used to be, and the male host looked like he was getting ready to go ride a fancy skateboard up and down the sidewalk.I understand that over the past recent years the restaurant business and service industry has changed and for an old schooler like me, it's tough to get a grip on. We did get here just after 3pm so it's possible that they were between shifts. I ordered the Mandarin combination plate. It came with the customary bowl of egg flower soup and oyster crackers. My plate consists of Almond chicken chow mein soft noodles, fried rice, three fried shrimp, and three bbq pork spare ribs. My husband ordered the combination plate that gave you a few different options, he chose the pork chow mein soft noodles, fried rice and the sweet and sour chicken. I was satisfied with my dish. My husband said that the sweet and sour chicken was dry due to they use white meat vs dark meat. All in all, Bill Lee's is very consistent with their food. It's nice place to treat your friends and family out to a semi fancy place for lunch or dinner. You don't have to get overly dressed up to enjoy a nice meal at a mid-scale restaurant. They do offer a few American food items to choose from as well, prices start at around $15.00

Finally authentic and great service food! My wife isn't a fan of trying new soups and she was served egg drop and fell in love with it. We'll be coming back more times than we'd care to admit.

"Back at it because I can never get enough of my Steve's special. Here with the kids and we enjoyed our food. Huge shoutout to Maui Pho for always being consistent and yummy!"
"I came in during lunch , this place is quiet on a Sunday morning very relaxing . I stopped in before catching a movie . I had no wait time at all . The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The portions are great and it's more than enough for leftovers. The food is very tasty, I can't wait to try other things on the menu ."
"Good spot for lunch. Service was prompt, quantity was decent and food was good. I forgot to ask of they had msg."
"Don't let the Karens in the reviews persuade you, this place is one of the best Thai places you're gonna get in the AV! Their Pad Thai and Paht See-Iw Noodles are sooooo good, very flavorful, not overly greasy like other places and has a good amount of veggies and meat. I've also tried the crispy garlic shrimp and that was super yummy! I thought it was battered but it was sautéed with crispy fried garlic and came with this vinegar-y sauce that was delish, only thing I'd say is that it is a bit overpriced for the amount of shrimp you get. The lady here is also always so nice and attentive. This place is such a nice hidden gem with great food and I definitely would recommend giving it a try."
"Good food. Great service. Nice polite front desk person. I ordered food to go & food was ready & still hot when I got home. Pricing was standard for this type of restaurant."
"Decor is run down *lol* The place looks a hot mess inside. Customer service is wonderful. You get a lot of food for a little price. The food is just okay to me, I prefer the flavors of Panda Express. Maybe because I am 9 months pregnant my taste buds are a little off. I don't know."
"Place was awesome they give you a ton of food for the price. Is it the best no but they make up for it by hooking you up. I like the place personally for that reason. Save some cash like eat lunch and have leftovers for later"
"I ordered using Door Dash and was happy to see they now have the option of ordering egg foo young. I also ordered chicken with fresh vegetables and chicken fried rice and I have to say that I was very pleasantly surprised in the order this time the chicken and fresh vegetables had lots of different vegetables and it was delicious my favorite way to eat. This is to put one of the egg foo yong on your plate and cover with the chicken and fresh vegetables, the fried rice was good did not quite as much flavor as I was hoping for, but I think it was also an improvement over the last time so all in all we were very happy with this order and hoping this is a beginning of better things here. I will definitely be ordering again if the food quality is as it was in this order."
"Good food, I love their special chop suey. Happen to think they have the best chicken salad with hot oil, and potstickers. Quick service for done in or take out!!!!"
"This place is one of the very few in the Fresno county that serves actual authentic Chinese food. Not only is the menu impressive but so are the dishes. Everything about the mom and paps place is inviting and comfortable. Here is what I recommend getting if you plan on coming here:- Peking Spare Ribs- Beef Chowfun- Wonton Soup- Honey Walnut Shrimp"
"We were heading out to a concert at World Records on a Friday night. We knew all the "regular" hot spots would be full. We remembered a little Chinese place on "L" Street and thought we would give it a try.We were in luck. The parking lot was empty, and the sign said "Open". But, when we got to the front door, it was locked. Just as we were walking away, the owner, Mr. Pang, pushed the door open and invited us in. He told us it was a slow night, but he would serve us. The place was a bit chilly. There were red roses everywhere. It looked like they were getting ready for a banquet. While his English was a little hard to understand, Mr. Pang made us feel right at home. We ordered the General Tso Chicken with an extra soup and some vegetarian egg rolls. He brought out our soup immediately, and later when we finished, he brought us seconds. The General Tso's chicken was tender, served with noodles and fried rice. It was all very tasty. I can't figure out why this place isn't busier, especially on a Friday night. We hope to check it out again for lunch. Mr. Pang said to be sure to come during the week of Chinese New Year (February 9)."
"Ive come here a total of 3 times, once when we first moved here, and now twice in the last 30days. Im thinking it was an out if sight out of mind issue, because i dont know why it took me so long to come back. The ready made selections are very decent, and the ala carte orders are mouth watering. Taste way better then Panda and the smells are a mouth watering over load. The egg flower soup is to die for, legit flavors and the people running it are beyond sweet. Yes the shop looks old and a bit run down, but dont let that detour you from the deliciousness that awaits you!"
"Went there today with a cousin visiting from up north. There was a line outside, which is always a good thing. There options are endless which is great for children with diet restrictions. The chicken satay and potstickers were delightfulI especially enjoyed the steamed class and sushi, mom didn't feel the same. Will definitely be the at least once a month"
"The food was definitely worth it. It was a 1st time from me and the yelp reviews were right. We too the food to go but definitely worth it."
"Great for the price, the portions are very large and the staff is friendly. It is a good place if you're looking for something fast and a lot of food"
"The food under the heat lamps didn't look too appetizing. So we ordered combination fried rice without carrots and peas, then they had to make it fresh for us. As with any Chinese food places, I gotta try the orange chicken. That's how I rate the place. It had a good flavor that I would have otherwise enjoyed had it not been sitting too long under the heat lamps. They were dry and chewy by the time I ate them. The fried rice was good. Sorry I was too hungry I forgot to take a pic. This was not the worst Chinese food place I went to nor is it a good one for me to make that drive back."
"Run, DO NOT WALK to the delicious Chinese food spot!!! This place is a hidden gem in East Bakersfield with massive portions, low prices, and amazing flavors! I cannot stress this place enough on how amazing it is. Panda express can't even compare. Went on a Sunday night at 6 and it was a little busy as to be expected for dinner time, everything was so fresh and so flavorful. The portions were MASSIVE, they don't cheap out on their food. While the interior was a little sticky like previous reviewers have mentioned that didn't ruin the experience. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed."
"I don't care what anyone says... this is some of the best take out Chinese food I've ever had. gonna keep coming back for more..!!"
"Last night was my first time here and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. I had chow mein with string bean chicken and fried wings and it was delicious. I was thrilled to have received a generous portion. The workers were nice and the cashier was kind."
"Been coming here for years, the price and the amount of food you get is Amazing!! The only negative side of this place is the customers, they are nasty to the workers so I can understand any pushback or exhaustion from dealing with that daily.Customer service is more of a straight to business interaction, just go in an order and you'll be fine, they try to accommodate as best they can :)The sushi is made to order so always fresh :)"
"Great service and food - super fast! Best Chinese food in town! Big portions with lots of leftovers for the next day!"
"Chicken teriyaki with 3 meats was delicious and was ready when we called on our way driving there. 2 sushi bowls were great. The salad or choice of vegetables with teriyaki bowl was a great plus in addition to the fried rice. Definitely recommend this place I have had great service and prices are reasonable for the dishes we ordered."
"So this place doesn't get much love on here and it's my favorite spot for "cheap" Chinese food...I love their noodles!! They aren't thin and crispy like Panda but they are thick and soft and to me have awesome flavor. We usually will go on a Sunday for the "Sunday Special - Chicken cutlet" its a crispy chicken with a teriyaki sauce poured on top. It's my fav! And with the daily specials you get a great meal deal. The new owner and staff are awesome. Before the girls up front NEVER answered the phones..... and now they are way better at it. You may be placed on a hold but aye at least they answered. But I do love that they out the client in front of them, first. The young lady that's typically there is sweet and helpful. I do wish they had better pictures on here of their menu and descriptions on their sushi.. but maybe my next visit I'll get some updated info and share here (that's how often we go)."
