"Luigis is a staple in Old Town Kerns, Bakersfield. My broworker's Nona approves so I know Luigis is as authentic as it gets without flying to Italy. Reservations highly recommended, they were pretty busy when we came by for lunch on a Wednesday. The weather was lovely so we decided to sit outside to enjoy the sunshine. Cassie took great care of us the whole time we were there. The menu was glorious with so many delicious options to pick from. My bro boss ordered their Truffle App ($17.50/small) for the four of us to share. It comes with a sliced loaf of sourdough for you to dip into the delicious sauce. This truffle app is like glorious pasta truffle purses. SO DELICIOUS. As for our entrees, I focused on the lunch specials to help myself narrow things down. I decided on their half order of Lasagna ($13.75) and my broworkers all got their Cole's Steak Sandwich ($24.95/each) which comes with thinly sliced ny steak with grilled onions and pepperjack cheese in a toasted soft roll. Okay okay maybe I should have confirmed and gotten that too, but my lasagna was really delicious. The half portion was still a mighty size and I easily got food coma after my meal. It was a good thing they had a cute gift shop with Italian imports as well as local Bakersfield goods for purchase. We picked out some thoughtful gifts to make gift baskets for our clients. I really love the family-vibes I get from the business both on the restaurant side and the giftshop side. I know this will be my first of many many visits to Luigis. I am definitely a fan and looking forward to coming back to try more of their menu."

Honestly, some of the friendliest people in the AV.My only 2 minor complaints were1) unable to order all flat wings, even when i asked to pay for it. 2) no diaper changing table in the men's restroom! As a stay at home mom, i am always with my son. It was nice to be out with my family and when our child needed a change, it was wonderful that papa wanted to help with the responsibilities..but only to find out only a diaper table for the women's restroom.For all the dads out there that want to pitch in, please don't forget about their needs!"

I got steak fries and my husband got seasoned fries. The service was great. The girls up front was helpful and patient. It was a diner/style burger place. You order up front and they bring you the food. We ordered a chocolate shake before leaving and it was thick and delicious! We can't wait to go back and try the onion rings."

"I've been to Mount Whitney Restaurant twice now and both times were lackluster at best... This time around it was after a two night backpacking trip to summit Mount Whitney. We stopped for lunch on a Sunday post-summit and enjoyed watching football while relaxing, talking about our adventure, and eating our food - once it came out. Our waitress appeared more interested in also watching football than tending to tables but oh well, it is what it is. What left a worse taste in my mouth was when I ordered a root beer float and she responded with disgust. She then apologized and informed us she went to a party (something about a wedding?) the night before... not my problem. You're at work now, should have acted like it. Food was alright. Atmosphere was the best part. Go Bills."

"I had to run a few errands after walking my dogs this morning so when lunch time came, I was hungry and decided to go to Meechy's.I love their new location! It's a much bigger space than when they were in the mall. I was greeted as soon as I walked in. I let them know I was dining in and Chris told me to sit wherever I wanted and he brought me a menu. When the waitress stopped by for my drink order, I mentioned that I heard that the refreshers were really good and she said their special for the day was the Pomegranate Lime. Of course I had to order it. It was so crisp and refreshing. I'm a carbonation girlie so this was very nice! I loved the pieces of pomegranate seeds in it. I'm looking forward to trying the other flavors.The menu is amazing! There was so much to choose from. It was hard to make a decision. I decided to order bruschetta for an appetizer and a rice bowl with garlic chicken. The bruschetta was so good! I love that they make the rosemary focaccia bread themselves. The rosemary complements all the flavors of the fresh tomatoes, basil, red onion, and balsamic glaze. The braised red cabbage was a nice addition. I love that they use feta! It doesn't overpower the dish at all. It's a beautiful balance of flavor. I also appreciated that you could use a fork to cut into it. Usually it's a finger food and the bread is so crunchy that the roof of your mouth gets cut up and all the toppings fall off. The focaccia is a wonderful texture for bruschetta. The rice bowl was absolutely delicious! The rice was cooked perfectly. If you like garlic, get the garlic chicken! My goodness was it fantastic!! The chicken was tender and flavorful. The tomatoes were fresh, the avocado added a nice creaminess to the dish along with the poached egg. The green onions livened it up and the spicy mayo added a nice kick. Another well balanced dish. I was too full for dessert but brought home a cookies & cream cheesecake for me and an orange creamsicle for my Mom. I've had their cheesecakes before and I haven't found a place that makes better cheesecakes. They're rich and creamy, dense. Absolutely flawless! Looking forward to enjoying it this evening.Next time I go, I want to try a burger and onion rings. It all looked amazing!"

"I came here with my family and let me tell you the food does not disappoint. I came twice actually for dinner and for breakfast but on 2 different occasions. The service was good as well, they provide you with a number and they bring the food and pick up the food for you. It's a nice place to come and eat with the family. It can get a bit busy. As the name implies, the theme of this restaurant is Wimpy, along with his cronies, Popeye, Bluto and Olive Oyl. The inside of the restaurant probably hasn't seen an upgrade since grand opening, but I think that is part of the charm that is Wimpy's. The service is average; not bad, not outstanding. The food, however, is always on point. My order is usually the Wimpy Burger along with an order of their seasoned fries. Wimpy's has been serving up seasoned fries before seasoned fries were cool and they never disappoint."

"We ordered from Los Arbolitos through Yelp on our work trip and I am so glad we did! The quesabirra tacos were delicious and the nachos yummy! I would say the best part of the nachos was the jalapeños, guacamole, and pico. The asada was okay, kind of dry to be honest. We did get it to go but ate in the car in the parking lot cause we wanted to make sure it was fresh. But the ladies were so kind and welcoming and had great customer service! One thing, if you order a drink online, double check that it is with your order. I ordered a Limón Jarrito, checked and it wasn't there. When I asked about it, she was apologetic and showed me the ticket -- it only prints 1 Limón (one lemon) and so there was extra limón for the tacos (which actually I loved!) -- but for some reason the way that their system recognized that wasn't clear that it was a drink. She got it for me and so it was no problem but I'd say just check it out and make sure it's there if you order! Would absolutely go again for the quesabirria!"

I love the pastrami burger (like a LOT) but my go-to is my "Texan Style" dbl with jalapeños, all the way, mustard only, well done to get a crispy outside - they're never dry, by the way, Burger Shack has that on lock. It hits all the right tangy, spicy cheesy notes, every time. (They're "the good jalapeños," by the way, that just-right ballpark nacho type.)Their shakes are great if you're being extra extravagant, and even though the fried mushrooms and fried zucchini are sysco or equivalent, they're so tasty with the excellent ranch that they're hard to pass up!"

This place is located directly across the street from Fresno State and luckily I got here just as the lunch rush was starting around 11am. I went with a cold Italian sandwich for lunch and an order of beer batters fries. This sandwich comes with pastrami, salami, pepperoni, and provolone cheese. I got it with the works; onions, peppers, lettuce, oil vinegar, the whole 9 yards. You can tell they put care into their products because everything on this sandwich tasted super fresh. I went with the 8-inch and probably would've been fine with the 6-inch since I also ordered a side of fries. The portions here do not disappoint. We all know it really makes a sandwich is the bread and their Dutch crunch bread was fantastic. Also called Tiger Bread, the spread is super soft on the inside with a nice crunchy top. They make it by brushing a paste of rice flour, sugar, water, and yeast over the bread partway through rising process in the oven. If you see this on the menu anywhere, order it, trust me it's a flavor and textural explosion.You can dine in, get your order to go, or order through their website for delivery or curbside. The inside is pretty basic with a few tables and a small TV in the corner. Perfect if you're looking to get off your feet and fill your tummy. Parking is tight and like I said, I got here right before the lunch rush which had the line almost going out the door. Snack smart Central Valley Yelpers!"

"I adore Country Boy Drive in. I do wish it was set up better so there could be more than a few cars in line. I just try and get there when it's not so busy. It is your typical local burger joint in a lot of ways. But, the food here just sort of hits different. At least the fried food. Their fries are seasoned well and crispy. I also like getting their fried mushrooms and zucchini. Their ranch isn't AS good as other places, but it goes well with the food. I had a chance to try their breakfast burritos. Got a bacon and egg one, honestly if they could figure out their salsa, it would be a home run for me! I found the salsa to be just watery and spicy. Though the crispy bacon piled into the burrito with fluffy eggs and hashbrowns was so good!Overall, this is a great place to stop by if you want to get a classic burger and live near Rosedale. Is it the best local burger joint? I think it depends on who is cooking that day, but it's a good in a pinch. Beats going to the larger fast food chains."

"After a long camping trip and mostly surviving off of hotdogs and peanut butter jelly sandwiches, my son and I were craving a burger. We stopped at Super Burger on our way home for two main reasons; the reviews and that they have a drive-thru. I ordered the pastrami burger and got my son a plain cheeseburger with extra pickles. We also got a side of fried zucchini, okra and mozzarella sticks. This burger was amazing and huge! I thought they might skimp on the pastrami, but nope, the pastrami layer was almost as thick as the hamburger patty. Topped with fresh veggies; tomato, onion, lettuce and their super sauce, it was perfection. The sides were OK. I preferred the okra to the zucchini. The zucchini was a little floppy and not crunchy. My son loved it his burger. He's only six years old, but I swear he ate this like a Viking. No less than five bites and this thing was devoured. The service is pretty speedy and they do have a dining area, but like I said, we went to the drive-thru. Super burger is definitely a revisit because they have a ton of amazing burgers on the menu that I want to try. Look out jalapeño burger, I'm coming your way!"
