"I wanted something healthy and I was really craving some barbecue. Parking in back is plentiful but the lot can get a bit muddy when it rains. They have large smokers outside that fill the air with delicious barbecue smells that instantly hits you when you arrive. Tried the Tri-tip salad the first time and it really hit the spot. I ended up coming back just to try the chicken salad also. Both were really great. The meat to salad ratio was just about right. I would definitely come back. The smoke and flavors of the meat were really stellar and the service was friendly. I would definitely recommend if you're looking for something to satisfy your BBQ cravings."

"Delicious downtown bbq! This place is small with a few tables inside and outside and just a few employees. I had the big hoss sandwich with Mac and cheese. I would have done without the pimento cheese spread and pickles, so I know that for next time. The brisket itself was flavorful and delicious and a large portion. Bun was yummy too and mac and cheese was great. It was a great value in my opinion about $15 total not including a drink, for the amount of meat you get I thought it was a good deal these days, I've spent the same amount on a deli sandwich."

It seems the bosses are a bit, rude, too staff. The front area was empty, we waited a while to be seated, the lady at the front ignored us, it was a waiter that took our name. Front area was disorganized, for some reason there's a lot of bottles empty? In the past, we have been here a couple of times, I do feel like we are liking it less. I have taken people here for their birthday, they don't even give courtesy desert as most restaurants do. We have also experienced managers going to our table multiple times to look at the portions we are being served of meat, to a waitress being followed by one of them.It feels as if the working conditions of employees may not be the kindest. Will likely not come back because we like to go out to enjoy and hang with family and friends, not to hear others get yelled at by a boss."

So if your particular like me who needs peace and quite, you won't like standing in line behind every Tom, Dick and Harry, whose wife is a Susan, waiting for them to ask the 13 most stupid questions. Of course this comes while you are sandwiched behind some Loud Tom who is talking so loud on his phone reading the entire menu to his wife Susan, on the other end. I could barely hear the order taker or think straight. If I was really in Texas and could have shot the second Tom, I would've. That all said, the dude who brought me my beer and more limes was so kool i had to change this whole review to just beach about this one change I did not consent too, but here I am. And cuz of the beer dude, I upped my star closer to what they deserved. Ciao."

Tucked in a corner of the Lancaster Marketplace.The food.is about $40 a person and up, depending on what plan you get. Loved the BEEF BULGOGI, My hubby enjoyed the thin pork belly. The plain rice was good.Miss was good. The fried rice was.... different, kind of tasted like pop corn. The endless meat trays and sauces were fantastic Bathrooms were a but dingy but cleaned up.. The eating area is well cleaned and set nice. Lots of space and a very nice staff.The whole staff helped us out tonight, they met my husband's allergy needs and filled us all up.I can not wait to return!!"

Okay the flavor was there but sadly they ran out of BEEF so of course my Plate was shorted... I thought my bag of food felt kind of light but when I looked, I couldn't even see the Beef unless I lifted the 2 ribs. Surprisingly, they were even skimpy on the rice and Sallad .... It was just really weird. I mean honestly, they should have put an extra rib on the plate if the only have a couple tablespoons of Beef Left. Keep your customers happy and Satisfied and watch the Tip Jar Grow. Be honest too. Anyway, after eating at other Hawaiian BBQ places, I decided to up the Stars for this business. Hopefully next time they will not Short me on the plate."

To be honest i came here 2 days in a row! First day i ordered the smothered chicken with rice, yams, mac n cheese and greens. The smothered chicken could use more gravy but i was juicy. You get 2 pieces. The yams were good and the mac n cheese was cheesy. The greens were cool after hot sauce is added. The only issue I have is the cornbread is so small. But its most and good.The second day i ordered the catfish nuggets ( i usually don't just get anyones cause a lot of people don't know how to cook catfish...if its not cooked right its slimy)But this place...omg! Seasoned perfectly and cooked perfectly. This place is definitely in my rotation! You have to check it out."

Easily the best most authentic Hawaiian BBQ I've ever had. I didn't realize I've been eating in Fresno where I normally go is not even close to authentic like this. "I came to this place for a party and was totally surprised! This place is so big and the decorations are super cute. I can't believe this place hasn't had any reviews or pictures! I love Coconut Joe's food, the tri-tip, beans and the salsa were still on point tonight, but seriously, this place is the place you wanna book for a cute party! I attended a friends surprise 75th birthday party here and was able to talk to the family about booking information. You don't have to clean anything, they provided the chairs, tables, linens, food, servers, utensils. They have fountain drinks and everyone just helped themselves. My friend gave me a tour of this place because we just used half of the place. There was a full bar and so many different sitting areas. Enough room for a dj and a dance floor! If you want the bar it's an extra $400 for the bartenders and security. There were three bathrooms, clean, spacious and away from any eating areas. This place is super cute guys! I couldn't believe how cute it was!"

"Haven't had this place in a minute! Went to the OG place in SLO and was pleasantly surprised to see a location in Bakersfield. Lol turns out they've been around for 7-8 years.Got the Tri Tip w/ added cheese, the Pig and the large sauce of onion rings. Everything including a soda came out to almost $50 so a little pricey but definitely filling. They have some outdoor seating so I was able to bring my pup! Ordering doesn't take too long and our food took 10-15 minutes on a Friday afternoon."
