"Beck cakes and cupcakes are to die for. They're moist, they taste great and they look amazing. If you're looking for cakes or cupcakes for any type of occasion sex is the guy to call."
"Very good biscuits and gravy for breakfast. Started my day off correctly with eating here."
"We were hungry after antique shopping. Most sandwiches are made with the fresh in house baked bread. Sourdough was amazing! My pastrami was so so good. We then proceeded to purchase every (well almost) baked treat they offer. Be sure to tell them what kind of cookie you prefer when you order or you get what they give you....not that it matters. It was all delicious. Thank you for a lovely lunch with my daughter and aunt."
"This coffee shop is really cute, quaint and filled with pastries that are delicious. If you are in Exeter, come by and support small businesses."
"I knew there was a bakery past the Dollar Tree and the Grocery Outlet but I haven't really been inside. A very colorful and welcoming patio greets you and when we stepped inside, you'd see all these little birthday-themed merch that made me and my daughter take some time strolling before we realized that we went there wanting to try their baked goods. It was hard to decide if I wanted a cupcake or a bar but I chose the bar since I wanted to enjoy my treat at home. I was thinking of Bakersfield heat and didn't want to risk having melted icing when I get home. So, went for their billionaire bar and boy it got me hooked! It was so rich and decadent with the right balance of sweetness, I could probably eat one everyday! To be honest, I think everything on display would be as equally delicious and we know there's only one way to find out, this bakery deserves a return trip!"
"First Class Cakes opened a retail shop in Fall 2010 where they offer cupcakes and very fancy pastries. We had a lemon meringue tart, a strawberry tart and a lemon cheese cake bar...the last was the best. I need to go back and try the cupcakes since cake is their specialty. There are tables inside and on the sidewalk of this little cafe, and I can see myself stopping by on the way back from Acton's brand new library to enjoy my books with some coffee and a treat. It'll be quieter than the nearby coffee house which is periodically overrun by young karate and dance students.Prices? $2.75 for cupcakes and $2.75-3.50 for specialty items. If you drive the 14 freeway, you might want to stop and get some quality refreshment there. Heading north, take the Santiago Road exit, turn left, cross Sierra Highway and turn right into the little shopping center at that corner. It's in there!"
"Rosie's cakes never disappoints!!! Their cookies are bomb I've been going here since I was a kid! I highly recommend."
"We ordered delivery via UberEats. Everything was super yummy. You can tell the food is made fresh."
"Food, always freshly made. I believe they're still a cash only business. Definitely worth the drive to Delano. You have to try everything at least once there but know they open early and close early. Don't show up with a gluten allergy because this place is chock full of gluten. I think I've had almost everything but if you show up with an open mind and ask the people working there what to try they might hook you up with a whole tray filled with options and samples. Family owned joint has been on multiple television shows and is a must try if you are willing to make the trip to Delano. Grab a coffee and then head in and grab 2-3 bags of goodies is the best way to try this place but don't forget it's CASH ONLY."
"Hi my boyfriend and I visited crumbl today for our sweet treat to celebrate our 1 year and 5 month anniversary!! hehe :)We split the Oreo Chocolate Crumb cookie and the Classic Peanut Butter cookie! Both were served warmed to perfection which made them even better. The oreo cookie and creamy frosting had great flavors and were not too sweet!! The cookie was very soft and cakey! I loved the oreo pieces and cream frosting on top.My boyfriend and I both favored the peanut butter cookie as it was very warm and soft giving it a really nice texture. It also had a very good, real peanut butter flavor! We ordered online for pickup and they were made fresh and ready by the end of the 15 minute wait time, so the service is pretty fast and efficient :) ! Also crumbl has an adorable ambiance. The decor and color scheme are dainty and cute! The inside is very clean and displays all the beautiful cookies in clear view. The packaging is also lovely. The easy-to-handle, closable box is so pretty, it's simple and pink!! Kail and I had such an amazing experience at Crumbl! We definitely recommend coming here :)"
"Great find in a strip mall close to work. Ordered an asada torta and it was ready super fast. The torta was the best I have had in quite awhile: the bread was fresh, meat slightly crispy, salsa with some heat and avocado/crema to balance it out. Will definitely go back and try more options."
"If you're looking for a bagel, cream cheese and other pastries and you're in the Antelope Valley...come here! You will not find a better bagel. They're large, freshly made and so good. They also have cream cheese if that's how you prefer your bagel. Because they're the best bagels, they will run out of their jalapeño cheese (the best selling bagel) if you don't reserve it the day before or make it in early. I went in to see what they had and for some wheat bagels, which were really good and made arrangements to pickup half a dozen jalapeño cheese bagels the next day. I returned the next day to purchase my bagels and the bag was ready for me to pay. So tasty! Panera bagels and other large bagel shops don't make them like this anymore. Try them out, you won't regret it. Business phone number (661) 471-9052Business cell, Text messages accepted: (661) 917-9286"

The moment you come into this little place it feels so homey, so safe! We were greeted the moment we came in! The service was fantastic. I asked a good amount of questions about different pasties I saw. Food was bought out in good time. It was still hot and it was seasoned perfectly. That hot sauce the icing on the cake!! Really delicious ! I'll come back for sure whenever I travel to Sequoia again!

Guilty sweet pleasures!! I stopped in Sweet Surrender twice for Valentine's week. The first stop I bought some cupcakes, they were so good, a great selections, and awesome presentation wrapped. The 2nd stop in I picked up a strawberry shortcake and two chocolate covered strawberries for the 22 year anniversary. The cake was moist and the best. I would definitely recommend trying everything. They also have a cute boutique with great options.

We went with First Class Cakes for our wedding cake. We already knew we wanted a red velvet cake and First Class Cakes was able to quote us $100 cheaper than Portos so we decided to go for it. I was a little hesitant because we tasted cupcakes for the cake tasting and I was hoping the cake would come out a little moister than the cupcakes but figured/hoped it would. I chose a simple naturalistic design from her book and booked it! We ordered the 3 tier red velvet with cream cheese filling and whip cream frosting. The wedding day came and everyone loved the cake! Several guests told me it was the best wedding cake and/or red velvet they've ever had. It was rich, moist, and had fantastic flavor, and I usually don't love cake. My co-worker was going on about how most wedding cakes are dry and boring, or overly sweet, but how mine was beyond delicious. Because an expensive cake wasn't in my budget, I'm so glad I could get such a great quality cake for an affordable price. Thanks Brenda!

We visited Lemon Leaf in search of a really good restaurant in the area. With simply adequate staff and food, this definitely is not the restaurant we were looking for. While the staff was friendly, the service was really nothing to write home about. Unfortunately, this describes the food as well. With really nothing overly negative or positive to say, Lemon Leaf deserves an average rating at best. Happy eating Yelpers!

"Best Mexican pastries in the area!!! Huge assortment of fresh pastries, cakes, cookies, you name it! They also offer hot food such as tamales, burritos, etc. Their Champurrado is delicious as well!! They have two locations which are equally excellent... One on 11th and one on 10th. Both have a very friendly and helpful staff. Very low prices for the quality you get. Both locations accept debit/credit cards for a small fee. Check it out... You won't be disappointed!!"
"All the stars for the butter cookies. I have been going here for years just for the cookies. They sell out so fast but you can order some in advance."
"Still the best cupcakes in town. Anytime we have a sweet tooth this is our stop. The peanut butter cups are my absolute favorite. But you can't go wrong with any cupcake you choose. Staff is always friendly. Place is always clean."
"I noticed this bakery several months ago, but never stopped in until recently. They are located at a strip mall with a few other businesses. Plenty of parking available. This bakery serves more than just baked goods. They also sell lots of ice cream. I'll need to try that next time.Their baked goods are situated in display cases along the left wall when you walk into their shop. Grab some disposable gloves plus a plastic bag, and then pick the goodies you want to try. I chose some conchas (pan dulces) and a couple of cheesecake slices. The cheesecake was good. The conchas were still fresh, soft, and delicious.Prices were reasonable. The employee who assisted me only spoke Spanish. I used my "broken" Spanish skills to communicate which was no problem. Helped that the employee was friendly and polite. There are tables to sit and dine at. They also serve other food as well. Most important thing is that they sell Mexican bakery items so I'll be back whenever I'm in the neighborhood."
""Coffee is a language in itself." -- Jackie ChanSuch true words spoken by one of my favorite movie personalities! I love trying different coffeeshops while I am on a road trip. I believe local coffeeshops can give you many good hints about the community that surrounds it! For example, cozy interior and free Wi-Fi serving delicious coffee and espresso drinks may tell you that a community is either made up of professionals who work remotely or students who go to a school nearby. In the same setting, couches setup facing each other may tell you that this is a tightly neat community that enjoys a good conversation over a good cup of coffee. So every time I pass through a town, I try to stop for a cup of coffee and spend a little time at the local coffeeshop. In my last trip, passing through Bakersfield, I decided to look for a new coffeeshop that I have not tried yet and decided on Summit Coffee. The coffeeshop is across the street from the Canyon Hills Assembly of God church. It is located in a big building (bigger than I am used to seeing local coffeeshops) and has a nice outside seating area. They offer a variety of pastries and more importantly coffee drinks at very reasonable prices. I had me a latte and enjoyed it. The coffee tasted very good and the latte was done the right way. The young lady who served as the barista was very nice and polite. I also noticed a couple of gentlemen sitting there and working on their laptops. Apparently the Café offers free Wi-Fi as well.Altogether a very good place to sit and enjoy a good cup of coffee."
"I was shocked how inexpensive this place is! Large colored/sprinkled cookies, flaky pastries, fruit-filled desserts, they have a nice selection. The trays aren't marked so you may have to ask what things are. The style is more European, where the desserts aren't quite as sweet as we're used to. I got 2 huge sprinkle cookies and a strawberry cream cheese turnover for $3.75! The quality was decent: not the best I've had but my daughter loved her cookie"
"My go to for pupusas. Revueltas are fire!!!Good price and they have fresh baked bread."
"The breakfast sandwiches are best. Even better when you call in before hand for quicker pickup."
"Worked all over California for fire and forestry and this place holds a special place in my heart. This German bakery has savory sandwiches, sweet desserts, and good imported beer Highly recommend the Poor Boy Prost!"
"To me this place is a hidden gem. I'm not in the Delano area often but the past couple of times I have been I've noticed this bakery. Today I finally checked it out and was so pleasantly surprised! Everything tasted so fresh and was so buttery and perfect. This bakery totally reminds me of the panaderias I've been to in Mexico! The conchas are as big as your head and are so soft and spongey! The loaf cakes were some of our favorite items. They come in a huge assortment of flavors. Each flavor was so moist and light we ended up having to buy a few to go for my boyfriends family. They do serve some lunch items like tortas, burritos, and tacos which I do plan on trying next time I'm in Delano. I will definitely return to this place and recommend it to all my family and friends. Check them out if you are in the area!"
"Beautiful presentation for your guest to receive there lunch in a cake box with ribbon and a fresh rose! Paula signature rose on the top of each lunch will wow your guest. When they open the box there is a sandwich, salad and fresh fruit. The salad had peaches and boysenberry with a incredible dressing to the side. Was simply delicious I wish I had taken a picture of the inside."
"These are delish!!! Came across Mama Bee's Mason Jar Sweets online. Seen some tasty looking treats and I reached out immediately to see if any baked goods were available. Mama Bee was very accommodating. She offered to make a few dozen cookies and a bread loaf to have ready for me by the evening time. I went with a dozen Chocolate Chip and a dozen White Chocolate Macadamia Nut cookies and a Pumpkin bread loaf. Upon picking up they were still warm (right out of the oven). They smelled delish on the way home. Packaging is super cute as well. The baked good were yummy and will definitely order again. You can tell Mama Bee makes sure her customers are happy and satisfied. Great local small business to give support to!!!-LR"
"Had a sandwich. Good, kind of pricey. Lots of exotic drinks and juices. Sells sliced meat as well, Boar's Head, a great named brand. No beer yet, always says its coming soon. https://www.facebook.com/California-City-Deli-109121763790720/?__tn__=kC-R&eid=ARAxt5xpvRMeI_G920ZfXEdxRBEeIj67_ELYfhiAUm5GofWZCWW2gm2kaiVFdSzRffxz2ex3t0RmETFt&hc_ref=ARR8k7mgFMeLkJs-z1j6aTuKv83fWc7vR-O9l8ad90bb36LSVl3uoXkczLBdw0nF6_0&fref=nf&__xts__[0]=68.ARA21DGJwzxM4gpAyN3T0NwZkMnUlWrqv87_ERAv31Nhgdvk7xBHdOruDVzd97UAnLDYmHFkHZrjwhHnBYo_iDGXRixaiyE9BoASMhoROxoPt-ngtxzmlhIIJq-uhmkUusDd02k4infBkWk_ll9BL3VsIT45TbkUMOpO5iySB6MEGKabQuNzg67uNb1EcvbgDuJf9RBjjrPP7e1UaVtqr6eVkZ7T6c_2PC0Ml7mLGZ4xZOYeZ-GM47uR2RGW8CUvUGFb0-ZEAMmH-ycm76eLzVW7ixK6D_hdiSVCHvLv3TdmcHl_9U6my8Ub7COAMN-ANJL2n1qoLwdLlwtQmAoD4KQ"
"Not just your typical bakery fare! In addition to fabulous coffee, croissants, cookies and pies Sequoia Mountain Bakery offers SMASHburgers at an amazing price. Great breakfast options as well. Do NOT leave without a loaf of fresh baked sourdough or cheddar jalapeño bread -- it may still be warm. You won't be able to resist eating just one slice on your way home. Great service as well!"
"One of the best bakery's in Tulare. The bread is always fresh and delicious. My favorite are the conchas and the choc chip cookies. The flavors are always as they should. Sometimes you won't be able to find a certain bread due to being sold out or barely making the pan. They also have cakes, gelatin and other goodies. I always come here when I run my errands l."
"Service was quick. Cookies are huge! Friendly greeting. Delicious and huge! Shared it with my son"
"I got on the schedule and got our two sour dough loaves. I was absolutely delighted! They use less salt in their bread which helps me on my low salt food plan. And in addition to being healthy homemade, the slices were tasty delicious- had good substance to hold up in a sandwich but soft enough to swipe around the plate to mop up my morning egg yolk. I highly recommend"
"A must try is the cheese bagel they are absolutely delicious!!! My kids beg to come here almost every weekend! Amazing products abd amazing customer service"
"This was my first time ever getting a Rosca. This Rosca was sooooo good. Very moist and fluffy. It reminded me of a Large concha cake. They also have theee best little Conchitas. If you want some bomb conchitas. Please come here. Their so good. Especially before the early afternoon. Their fresh and warm and straight out the oven. I love this Bakery. Support your local Bakery!!!"
"I just discovered this bakery when I was craving concha and MAN! Did they deliver! I bought a half dozen for $6. They also had beautifully decorated Valentine's Day themed cakes! The young lady behind the counter was lovely! And the best part is this place is like 3 minutes from my house! You guys are gonna be my concha people forever!"
"We've now ordered twice from Melrose and have not been disappointed. A LOT of great food with a nice variety of dishes, including baked goods!Owners are very friendly and nice!Filipino dinner the first night, German dinner and donuts the next. Thank you for being open during this time and for giving us a break from the normal quarantine cuisine. Definitely ordering from here again!"
"Back again! This place is so good. Had the steak sandwich, and it was so good. The meat was perfectly cooked with the right amount of pink in the middle. There is so much care and quality put into each element of the sandwich and I could taste it. The meat was tender the sauces were perfectly balanced and the pickled onions added the right amount of acid.I also got the truffle fries. The best truffle fries I have had. The fries were hot and crispy. Every fries was crispy. Not a single one was soggy or under cooked. The truffle flavors were not overwhelming, but noticable. So good. I look forward to checking out dinner. I heard from the owner that they are working on mimosas and beer being added to the menu soon."
"Wow.. I love stopping by here to have that Filipino homemade cooking to eat and sweet delicious baked goods for the long drive home. Great customer service.. I feel like I'm at home with family here. The owners are exceptionally sweet and kind! Food was hot & fresh!"
