I found so many Xmas gifts and it's only May. When you walk in to the left you will see all the vintage hard to find candy. They will assist you if you want to purchase some. T-shirts, stickers, candles, vintage clothing and games. Too much to write, just go in and enjoy. The other location on Curry ave is more furniture and this is the fun gifty items. ** they ask that you please wear your mask on your nose and mouth."

It's not really my personal style and everything was priced well above what other antique stores are charging, so I did not feel confident in finding something for me. However, it was really cool to see a Barbie case I had when I was 8 years old."

I thought It was decorated really nice and they had a few things I didn't know I needed. I can't get my mind off a beautiful hutch they have. I didn't post any pictures because I don't want anyone to buy it before me. I am not very knowledgeable when it comes to antiques or what things should be priced. Pretty big collections of old scythes, rakes, milk cans, stoves, roller skates, and so on. Didn't notice prices on many things, but the things I saw seemed reasonable. Dick is knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Dick came and picked it up at my in-laws in Modesto, and delivered it to the Bay Area. The pricing was great, much cheaper than in the Bay Area, and no one around here would even attempt the job because of its complexity and labor intensity. We also sent Dick back to Tulare with a couple of drawer guides that needed to be remade. They are already ready (this was on Saturday and it is now Wednesday). If you have friends who are difficult to shop for or have eclectic tastes, Oleander + Palm probably has exactly what you're looking for. This tiny boutique tucked away in the cutest shopping arcade stocks items you won't find anywhere else in town including vintage accessories for the home, cards, and candles. I try to stop by during the holidays each year to browse their vintage Christmas ornament selection. They're stocked with classic style glass ornaments from the 1970s and 80s. I love the patina on these mostly American-made ornaments which are such high-quality when compared to new ornaments. The owners are incredibly helpful and make excellent recommendations. I recently found the perfect mid-20th century hand-blown glass tree topper still in its original box with their help. The store always smells great with scented candles burning making the place inviting and cozy. They carry a lot of brands from companies and stores that share their ethos. And the prices are reasonable for the one-of-a-kind items they sell from these purveyors - many of them international. Oleander + Palm epitomizes what it means to shop locally. Chris L. ""Professors from Caltech do not really work here!"We always have a fun time at this antique mall when we're traveling from the Bay Area to Los Angeles. The people here are really friendly, although one time a clerk told me an odd story that was hardly believable. He told me he was a professor from Caltech who was just doing a little bit of a sabbatical working here, since he had had a brain injury from a crash. I believed him of course, since I am rather gullible. But the next time we came here, the new clerk told me, "It was all complete BS."Of course, at that point I felt sort of sheepish, but I still couldn't help wondering how the professor was doing, recovering from his brain injury. The Antique Mall actually includes dozens of different merchants. So keep in mind that they set their own sales. The day that we visited some Merchants had 20% off, and some even 50% off. There are a lot of little rooms sort of tucked away off the main Corridor so you have to search around to find all the merchants. At the front desk, they have all types of sort of questionable fossils including dinosaur poop. I'm not exactly sure how they authenticate these items. That's some of the back rooms they have lots of swords and Military memorabilia. I found these quite interesting. Probably more interesting and probably more authentic than the dinosaur poop.Ask at the front counter for the key to the single bathroom, which is sort of clunky and a bit dirty. So all in all, a fun place to visit and do a little shopping. But don't believe it if someone tells you he's a professor from Caltech."

C M. "I was a little nervous to come here because I've seen how the owner speaks to his customers on facebook-yikes. But I was looking for something different and saw a cool piece on their page so I decided to come in. A young girl helped me and was very sweet. Overall I was there about 10 minutes and everything went smoothly while I was there. When I got home I saw that the base of the mirror to the vanity I bought had been cracked when it was removed by one of the employees. It was really uncool of them to not mention it when they did it. I was near them but not watching them. I should have been. I didn't contact the shop because I've seen how they respond to unhappy customers and didn't really feel like fighting over something I could figure out how to fix myself. Even though I shouldn't have to. Also, the paint job that they did was so horrible. They took a beautiful old vanity and painted it this mauvey color and then swiped it with blue to "antique" it. Anyone that knows how to properly antique things knows this is a cheap ugly way to do it. That and they ignored spots they didn't think people would immediately see like underneath where you sit in the vanity, or behind the legs..but you should still paint those areas lol. Thankfully I was already planning on stripping that ugly paint job and redoing it. I ended up loving how it turned out but it wasn't cheap even though it was water damaged, painted horribly and broken. Looking back I should have passed on it but now that it's in my daughters room and it looks awesome I don't regret it. I probably wouldn't come here again though, there are much more clean and friendly places in town to get old furniture. Pros- they have a lot of cool items and if you're like me and like to rummage this is a fun place to check outCons- a lot of their items are sitting outside so they have water and sun damage, bugs, and a ton of dirt on and inside them. Be prepared to clean your pieces well before bringing them into your home. None of their items are marked which seems a little fishy to me because I've heard people get a lot of different prices quoted to them based on the day, time or person they asked. And of course their scary owner. Don't question him or he will bite your head off haha."

This thrift store does not claim to be fancy or cool in any way, so don't come with any expectations. They have everything basically organized and easy to see. It's not attractively merchandised, but they do have quite a bit to look at and any regular thrift store shopper will appreciate this place for what it is. They test all electronics before putting them on the sales floor. Their book shelves were surprisingly empty on the day of my visit. They had a bunch of different quilted Vera Wang purses that were cute and like new. They have lots of big furniture pieces, several from the 80s and 90s. Clothing has colored barbs to indicate price. When I asked questions about pricing, an associate was accommodating and helpful with her answers. We'll definitely be back."
