"Tried out the Hoppy Hour Specials (Mon-Fri 3-6 PM). We ordered the Stinky Fries, Hot Dog with Fries, BBQ & Buffalo Wings, and an order of the Golden Ale Chicken Strips. To preface I have ordered the stinky fries previously numerous times and stinky fries seemed to be lacking an ingredient this time and I always remembered them to have garlic. The cheese was a bit overwhelming and salty. Next time I will order the garlic fries off the hoppy hour specials. Next, my youngest had the hot with fries and it came with course deli mustard and onions and a healthy basket of fries. I had a small bite of the hot dog and it was delicious! Definitely great deal for $8! Next, the BBQ & Buffalo Wings! For $8 you get 6 wings and they were all big wings! Both sauces were good yet highly recommended the Buffalo sauce! Incredible deal on the wings! My oldest son ordered the Golden Ale Chicken Strips. Crispy and delicious! The ranch and bbq dipping sauces are absolutely delicious and highly recommend. We love the District location due to the outdoor patio area. Able to enjoy our dinner, while our kids were entertained playing the bean toss. I noticed other parents with small children using the patio space as it was nice day. Try out the Hoppy Hour Specials next time you visit! Can't wait to come back!"

"I've been to Mount Whitney Restaurant twice now and both times were lackluster at best... This time around it was after a two night backpacking trip to summit Mount Whitney. We stopped for lunch on a Sunday post-summit and enjoyed watching football while relaxing, talking about our adventure, and eating our food - once it came out. Our waitress appeared more interested in also watching football than tending to tables but oh well, it is what it is. What left a worse taste in my mouth was when I ordered a root beer float and she responded with disgust. She then apologized and informed us she went to a party (something about a wedding?) the night before... not my problem. You're at work now, should have acted like it. Food was alright. Atmosphere was the best part. Go Bills."

They support our community in probably more ways than I even know. But here's one that's meant alot to me... When a high school team makes CIF playoffs or wins, the whole team comes to Route 66 for a party and all a gift. Tonight we happened upon Taco Tuesday. Hubby jumped at the Asada Fries, which were ample, tasty and tender steak, yummy chipotle over crispy fries. My fish tacos were divine. Light fluffy batter perfectly fried fish was just what I hoped for and for $5.99! I enjoyed one of my granddaughter's light baster fried chicken tenders. Couldn't ask for more! Thank you, Route 66, for lots of great meals, fun monthly car shows and for supporting our families and kids!"

Onion rings oh lordt!! Crispy, not greasy, tender never pulls out! ;) LMAO at that sorry my mind is a weirdo! Anyway you know of an onion ring isn't cooked properly you bite into it and the whole damn onion just comes out with that bite? That's a sign of an undercooked ring probably floppy internal breading and still crispy onions at the same time. Here it's literal perfection!! Oh that sound definitely asmr to your own ears every bite! Dip in that ranch and you have bliss!! Swirls...Do yourself a favour and get one idk what kind of ice cream they use. It's so silky smooth like a fat ass rich custard! Recently my son ordered the pumpkin pie one and OMG!!! I'm so glad i was only allowed a few bites because wow!! I think that's one of the best ice cream treats i've ever had!! They too fresh made pumpkin pie and swirled that into the ice cream! Topped it with thick homemade whipped cream and cinnamon. GASM!! Don't sleep on their shakes or swirls you will be sorry! There's more i've had here you can't go wrong with anything but these are my top fav's from here. They also do a vegan menu which i will try very soon!! Next time i'll get pics of the onion rings and fries sorry i just wanted to stuff my face Lol! Never have they messed up an order like other places. Service is always quick. It's clean and just a little drive thru. Employees are super nice as well. This is the only location i go to. I just felt they deserved an updated review since i often come here when I'm craving or just having a down day and need some naughty comfort food. Honestly i crave this more than In N Out there i said it!! Still love me some In N Out but damn this place hits every single time for me!! You guys Rock!!!"

Restaurant was packed at the time we arrived. Moderately sized free parking lot. Bathrooms are small, could use some work, but at least the toilet flushes and there was toilet paper. If/whenever driving through Ridgecrest and want to stop for a quick bite, Kristy's Family diner is my bookmark."

No carbonation at the soft drink machine .... Please fix this ... no one wants to drink flat soda. There should be a sign at the counter ; letting you know ahead of time ... so you can decide if you really want that flat beverage to sip on. The bar is busy ; the drinks made by the bartenders are good and reasonable . Ordered a sex on the beach drink, was very good .there is outdoor space to hangout at when weather permits. Place can get super packed in the evenings and on weekends. Go earlier before the crowd. Good place for big parties ; kid friendly. Clean bathrooms. High chairs for kids."
