I am confused by the positive ratings for this property. There were outside lights hanging by wires outside of rooms, blood spatter on the walls, the bathroom looked like they haven't been cleaned in months, if ever, blood stains on the bedding. Additionally blood stains on the AC units. And we had three rooms and ALL three rooms were like this. This place was so bad that Hotwire actually had to refund it because with lights hanging by wires, it simply isn't safe to stay there. Luckily there was a motel 6 that was very clean down the street and charged us $100 less for the three rooms for two nights. If people really consider this place clean, I have to wonder what their homes look like.

Smelled like piss so bad I couldn't even sleep. The tv went out about 1:00 in the morning. Called front desk they did absolutely nothing what so ever.Said they'd handle it in the morning...Terrible hotel on cleanliness from the awful smell of piss reeking from the wall behind the bed, mattress or the comforter that was never washed I'm guessing. Only god knows. I wouldn't recommend this motel to anyone. At first glance it looks alright but again the pee smell an no tv straight killed it for me.Couldnt sleep one bit cause of piss smell.

Really good hotel for the price. We were looking for a budget hotel while on a road trip to Joshua Tree and found this on Hotels.comPros- We were able to check in at 11pm without any problems. I believe the owners live on site- Bed sheets were clean and the pillows decent- Bathroom was clean. Great shower head with hot water and soft towels... not the type of towels that have been through the ringer a few times- Got a good night's rest as it was super quiet even with the windows open. There were some complaints about the trains overnight but it didn't bother us at all- Flat screen TV (we didn't use it)Cons- The exterior looks a bit deserted- The room itself is outdated- The heater sounds like a truck engine so we turned it off then all was wellI'd definitely come back if we're in the area again. Great deal for the price!

The owner is so nice! We chatted for a while at check-in because we were down from the Bay Area and he used to live sort of nearby. It was a one-night stop to break up the drive from the Grand Canyon home to Marin County, just north of San Francisco. The motel was conveniently located, affordable, and clean and comfortable enough, if basic. I did notice that there wasn't a single piece of artwork in the room - lots of blank walls and a little stark-looking. Even one inexpensive print would warm the room up considerably, that's my bit of advice to the management. I see some complaints about the trains, but IMO you can't really ding the motel for the trains that pass by... that's kinda like dinging it because it rains the day you're there; it's out of the motel's hands. There was a whole group of motels clustered close together; they would ALL hear the trains. I did get woken up a couple of times by the train whistle. Bed was very comfy though, and great water pressure and ample hot water in the shower. A perfectly fine place to spend the night overall.

I remember this as the Bel Air motel, maybe some Quentin Tarantino fans will remember it as the Dew drop Motel featured in From Dust Till Dawn. There's a neon clock on the outside of the office that I think is awesome. Never stayed here but it has some cool history.

Cleans rooms and low prices. Stayed here twice so far. I come out here to ride dirt bikes in the desert. Another cool thing I seen them filming a movie here, seen Jake Gyllenhaal and Amy Adams. Owner told me that they did a scene from Dusk til Dawn way back when.

Very pretty for this price range, with renovated bathroom, impeccably clean and fresh, in-room coffee, modern fridge, flat screen, free WiFi. Topped with kind service.

I stayed here a few nights ago. Rooms are spotlessly clean and come with a large flat screen (with HD TV) and a fridge/microwave. The price is about $46 including tax. The problem? The stupid train seems to come through every 2-3 hours and woke me up twice. And, no, not the rumbling... but that stupid whistle. I felt like I was in the movie "My Cousin Vinney". Too bad.. this place is really good otherwise with friendly staff.
