BSE Rents

Rented a walk behind trencher here after hearing the ridiculous policy from ahern rental about you must have a 3/4ton pickup to rent a walk behind trencher, my 1/2ton pulled it just fine as it should. The employees were very friendly and helpful from counter to out side customer service. I will definitely comeback here for any of my rental needs! I've bought a stihl chainsaw and leaf blower here. I will be back for a stihl string trimmer when my existing trimmer needs replaced

I use them when I need a small batch of concrete. At $120/Yd (5 bag) and $16.22/hr for the cement buggy, it is quick and extra dirty.. As far as Bakersfield goes, I think they all fit into the scheme of things nicely.

Superb! BS&E went above and beyond. We needed to rental three weed eaters for our propert's fire hazard line. The BS&E team (Ross, Justine and manager JC) were on top of their game with customer service. They exceeded what was expected by taking the time to explain and teach us what was needed for the job project. Even though it was almost 5 pm and closing time, Ross reopened the secured storage to allow us to see the equipment prior to rental. Justin suggested we pick up a third weed eater since this location only had two week eaters available. It worked out great. Thanks! I was so impressed to see there are still good and honest people in Bakersfield businesses, I picked them up a $20.00 gift card for a nearby SubWay for lunch ! Hope you guys enjoyed it. Keep up the outstanding job you do.

Looking at the bill they did charge me $40 instead of $60, but the guy that took the trailer back said it was going to be $60 and the guy at the counter didn't say anything about it. Still $40 to dump some water is outrageous and is a great way to make people never go back. This company needs to be ran on common sense and not some hardline policy that only ends up hurting them in the end. It would have been completely understandable if there were any concrete in the buggy left, but it was just water and even the man at the check in station acknowledged that and still said he would charge me for it.Also, you could dump the water on concrete and it would have evaporated in 10 minutes, so the idea that they would have had to take the trailer anywhere is simply laughable. With that said we will not be going back still.

Rented an excavator and a trailer from them. While going down the road the shackles on the leaf springs broke causing me to wreck and nearly die. Do not rent anything from these people. The employees are lazy and incompetent. Tim the manager is especially stupid.

Bob, the counter guy is friendly and helpful, but the manager just stands around... I said I'm returning an item and I've been waiting for someone to help me, ( along with another customer)he essentially said go downstairs and keep waiting He didn't make feel that customer service is a priority there... go to district Blvd instead

I rented equipment to be delivered at 8 and it didn't show up till 1030. Plus, the female receptionist was giving me an attitude the entire time. Very poor service.

Over the years I've had to rent many things from this company. I can always count on the equipment they rent being fresh and well maintained. The staff is very knowledgeable and eager to help get the correct tools for your job.

I recently rented a tractor from BSE Rents Tehachapi. While using the tractor the key broke off in the ignition when I tried to start it. I called BSE Rents and they sent someone out who managed to remove the broken key from the ignition and gave me new key to allow me to continue using the tractor.When I returned the tractor I was infuriated to find that they had charged me $45.00 for the key repair. I bitterly protested the charge since the key was obviously defective(metal fatigue) and did not break due to misuse.The person I was dealing with claimed to be the owner of the company and refused to remove the outrageous charge. He also told me that if I refused to pay the charge he would bar me from ever renting from BSE Rents again.This was an idle threat since because of the way this rental was handled I will never rent anything from BSE Rents again.I have rented equipment fro BSE Rents Tehachapi for 20 years and have have spent $20000 to $25000 over the years. Their equipment is generally in poor condition and subject to failure but I have never had any problem with them in the past with past failures of the equipment. I have never been charged for failures that were not my fault.Apparently BSE Rents has changed their policy and will now try to charge their maintenance costs to their renters.If you rent from them and there is any problem with the equipment you can be assured that they they will blame the problem on you and charge you for the repair.

I recently rented a car dolly from the Tehachapi store. I went onto their website early in the morning to place a reservation. Later that same morning I called the store to confirm my reservation. The girl who answered the phone stated that she had no reservation for me, and when I insisted that I did make a reservation, she became rude. She did take a reservation over the phone. Later that same morning, when I went to the store to pick up the car dolly, the guy who helped me at the counter was rude to me as well. I figure that he must have had a conversation with the girl. So I got the dolly. the guy who checked me out didn't seem to know the car dolly. he gave me the wrong straps, didn't know what the features on the car dolly were, and I had to ask how to use it. little or no information was offered. Additionally, they had two dolly's and they gave me the older one that was in very poor condition, (probably needs to be inspected by CHP. That will be my next email). So that's not the worst part... later that morning, I started receiving random, unsolicited spam emails. In the hours to come, I received over 1100 spam emails.... I had been the target of a "SPAM BOMB". I have never experienced anything like this, and it is suspiciously convenient to the incident that occurred earlier that morning. I have contacted the FBI cyber crimes division, and I am seeking to file a criminal complaint against the person or persons involved. I will also be initiating legal action pending the outcome of the investigation. All of that to say... "DO NOT RENT FROM BSE RENTS"
