Back again! This place is so good. Had the steak sandwich, and it was so good. The meat was perfectly cooked with the right amount of pink in the middle. There is so much care and quality put into each element of the sandwich and I could taste it. The meat was tender the sauces were perfectly balanced and the pickled onions added the right amount of acid.I also got the truffle fries. The best truffle fries I have had. The fries were hot and crispy. Every fries was crispy. Not a single one was soggy or under cooked. The truffle flavors were not overwhelming, but noticable. So good. I look forward to checking out dinner. I heard from the owner that they are working on mimosas and beer being added to the menu soon.

First of all, let me preface this review by stating that I am not a huge fan of cakes and pastries. I had a bit of strawberry heaven that has almost converted me. This slice of divinity was served at a party. Not only was the cake absolutely beautiful, it was moist and had real fresh strawberries layered inside. The frosting was just the perfect amount of sweet, not too cloying. The actual cake part was bright and flavorful. I may just have to sample some of their other menu items!

We used to love bread and honey but lately their quality has decreased immensely. We used to love their corn bread but they've mixed it in with another ingredient, their bread can be spoiled and old sometimes. In this occasion we came in for chicken sandwiches to find out that they no longer come with a complementary side :(, the price is supposedly cheaper but it's not the case. We are very sad to see one of of out favorite places go downhill suddenly,

I find it interesting that Bakersfield had these cafes that are full service restaurants. Works for me cause I was hunger for a complete meal anyhow. Rolled in on a Monday afternoon, place was empty, but the crowd rolled in primarily at 4pm!I sat outside which could use some ceiling fans, but was nice. Server came out and super friendly. I gone fish tacos which were delish! The perfect garnish combo and good size serving. I opted out of the beans and rice and copped me some tater tots. My iced lavender latte was more pretty than it was tasty, but still enjoyed. Perfect lunch for mua. They clearly specialize in baked goods as well. I'm not a sweets person, but a few folks came in to purchase sweets for takeaway. Large shared parking lot, nice outdoor patio in front of store. Outlets inside. Good for doing a little work.

Bread & Honey is a cozy cafe with lovely service and staff who welcomes you in like you're family. You'll feel right at home here. My mom and I came here for lunch for the first time. She ordered the Very Berry Salad while I had the Turkey Pesto Cold Sandwich with Truffle Fries. As we awaited our order, we had a complimentary sample of the marble bread loaf. It was yummy and definitely had me excited to take a look at the pastries. The Turkey Pesto Sandwich was great! I usually prefer hot sandwiches rather than cold ones; However, the pesto was perfect. It didn't make the bread soggy and it was complimented by the tomato and mozzarella. The Truffle Fries had the perfect crunch, but I wish the truffle flavor was a bit stronger -- Delicious, nonetheless. The Very Berry Salad was colorfully packed with strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, blueberries, grapes, walnuts, and feta on a bed of spring greens. Every bite was sweet and refreshing. This was our first visit and probably the first of many. I hope to come back when their refreshers are available. Sadly, they were all out today but we still had a great experience.

First time going for breakfast . The pastries looked delicious although we did not try any . We ordered the chilaquiles and a ham and cheese croissant . Although the server was quick to take our order and bring drinks , she never returned to ask how everything was going. We finished our food and sat around for another 10 minutes before I had to get up and find someone to help with my check . The place was busy and maybe a little understaffed. That won't keep us from trying it again. Clean establishment, and friendly people.

Stopped by for a brunch with my wife and a friend from out of town. It wasn't very busy when we arrived. Since the day was nice we opted to sit outside after receiving our menus. They came, took our drink order and we chatted away. Turns out they forgot we were outside for a good 15 minutes and I had to go in and ask if we needed to come inside to order. The staff apologized profusely. Placed our order and continued catching up. The food arrived and it was good. Nothing to write home about. I had subbed my fried chicken sandwich with a grilled breast but it arrived fried. They did fix it for me. My wife's salad was ok. We ended up chatting for an hour or so after eating and they didn't rush us which was nice. We grabbed some dessert on the way out and it was also ok. Decent little spot for brunch.

An almond croissant for almost $8 is insane. It was good but a bit pricey. Young lady working at the front was sweet. I don't know if I would come back for the almond croissant again due to the price, but maybe if I'm really craving it since I live nearby. I'll definitely come back to try the food.

I went for the cinnamon roll after googling places. It looks delicious but was served room temp. The bread was dry. And worst part- there are raisins baked into it! :( The brownie was better but also relatively dry if you're wanting moist ones. Cashier seemed like she didn't want to be there also. About 5.50 for each item which is not too bad
