Brazilian Wax Boutique

Looking for waxing, facials, spa treatments or cute gifts this is the place to go. I have been going here for years and it's always a great experience. Ashley at the front desk is super sweet and helpful, all the girls working are professional and great at what they do. This is a women owned business and it's top of the line. Last time I went in I got a Youth Facial with Sonia and it was incredible. She explained every product and their Image line is so amazing. I also recently tried their aqua hydration station (this is a hot wet cocoon and after your skin is soft, hydrated and you feel so good), beauty shaper collagen tower (the floor has three settings and shakes while you get red light therapy), the massage chair is amazing and speaks for its self! I also did both tanning beds and they gave me a lovely golden glow. Everything is super clean, little towels, robes and eye wear depending on what you choose. The owner is extremely knowledgeable about the machines and clearly explains how to use them, which is easy. Press a button and get in the machine. Highly recommended and if you follow them on instagram or Facebook they are always posting specials!

I'm a gay man who came in for a full body wax. I'm not very hairy with fine hair. My technician, Myra, was very pleasant and professional. She put me at ease. We had a humorous and interesting conversation helping me be comfortable. The service was excellent and I'm very happy with the results. This will be my go to place whenever I need a wax while I'm in Bakersfield.

I had a wonderful first time experience at this wax boutique. I was greeted immediately by the nice woman at the front desk. Checking in was very easy. I had to sign a consent form prior to my wax stating I understood what I was going to do. I also had a photo taken of me for my file. The lobby has very comfortable seating, and a little shop area with a lot of skin and accessory products. It also smells nice inside. I did not wait long at all. The woman who waxed me (I believe was named Valerie) was very sweet and reassuring, as it was my first time getting a Brazilian done. She was very professional, and she educated me very well on follow up care. Check out was a quick and easy process. The woman at the front reviewed products with me, and recommended I got something for my aftercare, which I did. The staff made me feel as if I can call them if needed, and that I'm welcome back any time for spa or other waxing needs. I already scheduled my return in 4 weeks. Very happy with my first visit!

I've been to this location multiple times, and decided it is my regular go to place. The staff is friendly, professional and the service is great. The locations is a super cute boutique, clean and the products used high quality. Highly recommended!

Its hard for me to give bad review because Michelle, the person that waxed me was super awesome, but I feel like I have let people know why this place warrants a bad review. I've been here on and off for about 7 or 8 years or so, and with the pandemic, I don't go anywhere, I don't want to put my 80+ year old grandma that is in hospice at risk. Since Gov. Newson lifted our second lockdown, I though I do something for myself because I won't be seeing my grandma for at least 2 or so week so I could stay away and not go anywhere then see her again once I knew I won't put her at risk. I looked up on Yelp to see how this place was doing, and the reviews were bad lately, so I past. I called Dare to go Bare, The Wax Room, and European Wax center, no one was taking appointments for at least two weeks or till the following Monday, one said they had a small waiting room and they could only let people one at a time due to Covid (good for you!) I thought I try this place again because I've been here a hand full of times and they were always great to me, and maybe the other reviews were not accurate. I called and the receptionist said they had a 4:00 pm, 4:15 pm, 4:30, and 5 pm. I said I'll take the 4:30. I showed up not as early as I wanted to, I showed up 4:25 pm, I wanted to be there at 4:15 pm, but kids prevented that, still I was early by 5 minutes. I signed in, signed the waiver and proceeded to find a place to wait, there are 3 chairs, 6 feet apart ( good for them) but there was 5 women there and I, myself had to stand along with one other women. I stood by the door not blocking it, but I moved anytime a receptionist had to tell Michelle who was next and when she went to clear a room, it was so awkward and after about 15 minutes, I realized they OVERBOOKED! We pretty much had an appointment around the same time and only Michelle was the only waxer (poor Michelle!) After about 15 minutes there, 3 other women showed up, and there were still the original 5 of us...After about 30 minutes, 2 more people showed up, one guy and a women. My husband called asking if I was almost done, and I said I think so because 2 of the original were already called. My husband said our daughter has to pee and I asked if my daughter could use their restroom, and I wasn't sure if they would yes or no because they have strict no children policy ( very fair and understandable, places like this is no place for children) and with covid and everything. They surprisingly said yes! For anyone who has kids this one of the kindest thing you can do is let a child use your restroom so thank you very much!! After taking my daughter to the rest room around the 45 minutes mark, we came out of the restroom, and 3 more people showed up and they had to open the door because we were spilling out of their already small waiting room, by the way, at this point it was hard to keep 6 feet apart. It was already a hard with 5 people, then 8 people, now11people! I walked my daughter to her dad and walked back, while making my way through about 6 people; the receptionist said I was next, and I looked at my watch, IT's 5:20 FOR MY 4:30 APPOINTMENT! My actually experience with Michelle was great; she was fast and super personable, she made the experience great! 5 STARS for Michelle. Unfortunately I can only give this place no more than 2 starts. The wait was ridiculous, we are in a pandemic, you over booked and had at least 12 people in a small confined waiting room, that's so irresponsible of you, in a world where people are dying and struggle you didn't make my waiting experience any easier, if anything you made me anxious about being around so many people I didn't know. Why couldn't you be like Dare to Bare or Wax Room or European Wax center? They told me no because they truly were try to be good and turn business away for the sake of everyone's health, as much as I like Michelle and how grateful I am that you let my daughter use your restroom, thank you again, I CAN NOT SUPPORT A BUSINESS THAT OVER BOOKED DURING A PANDEMIC AND MADE 12 PLUS PEOPLE WAIT IN A SMALL WAITING AREA, MAKING IMPOSSIBLE TO KEEP A 6 FEET DISTANCE. WHEN PEOPLE ARE DYING AND STRUGGLE I AM HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS PLACE FOR PUTTING THE 12 PLUS PEOPLE THIS SITUATION. To end things as I was leaving and paying; the women that showed up 15 minutes after me, said she had an appointment at 4:45 and she had to cancel because she had dinner reservation at 6. It was 5:37, the receptionist dared asked her if she was sure and that there were only 2 people ahead of her, she said no thank you and left. Smart women because she would not have made her dinner reservation. The bad reviews are pretty spot on, it makes me sad because Michelle is awesome...

First time going in here and went in for a facial. Let me just say the facial was amazing!! The gal that gave me my facial was super sweet and gentle and made it so relaxing! Almost fell asleep. Only down side was that i was not told they charge $1.50 for using your card (kind if ridiculous if you ask me, everywhere everyone used cards now a days) and i wasn't told ahead if time to bring cash for a tip. I'll have to return to give the gal a tip for today because she deserved it. But other than that, great spot for facials. Will most likely be back!

First time here and I loved it! I got checked in immediately, was walking over to take a seat when they called me in. My waxer Angela Was awesome! She walked through everything with clear instructions and let me tell you the girl can wax fast! Tip: Bring cash tip your waxer $$$

They used to be so good at service here. Now they act like entitled b's. They pressure you to tip,but dont give you any other option to tip except cash and then they look at you ugly because you dont want to drive to the store and get cash and comeback. They say walk-in available but they turn you away even when the waiting room is empty. It looks like a goodwill in there now. When you ask why there is no other option for a tip they say because they should not be taxed on tip money (this was said by their front office staff) which is againt the law because if i have to pay taxes they should also pay taxes. Dont go here the girls in the front are rude.The managers response is a lie. I never demanded to be seen right then and there. It is false advertising when they say walk-ins available but are trying to force you to make an appt. I did as i always have done for years and simply walked in to get a wax. Usually you are told you can be seen but will have a wait time but this time the rude girl was demanding i make an appt instead. I have been going there for years and have ALWAYS been seen as a walk in, even when the waiting room was full. Again they dont like it when you dont give a tip,thats when they started being even more rude but dont give ANY other option to tip.If they cannot afford the credit card merchant prices then why do they charge the customer for using their credit card. The service here has gone way down. As other reviewers have said they are extremely rude in the front. The estheticians are always nice. And the manager that posted the response is one of the rude girls im talking about. And yes it does look like a goodwill thats why i said it. And when you ask for a different esthetician because in the past i have had some that have burned me, you are told you cannot choose a esthetician its just whoever you get. So you are forced to get the same one that hurt you in the past. They have reallt bad customer service here in the last few years. Ty Update: The manager sent me a email cancelling my appt for a wax appt tomm(which is what they wanted right) and said i should go look for services elsewhere. Is that great customer service? When they first lie then refuse to render service because you told the truth about them being so rude there. They obviously dont honor loyalty there!

I was very disappointed with the customer service today. My appointment was scheduled for 9:30am, but I wasn't called into the room until 9:50am where I had to wait for another 15 minutes. After waiting for 15 minutes in the room, I had to quickly use the restroom because I couldn't hold it any longer. When I returned, which took less than two minutes, I went to the front desk to confirm that I hadn't been forgotten. To my surprise, the receptionist, who is also the manager, informed me that she had given my turn to another client. She assured me that I would be next, but I found this to be quite inconsiderate. Considering that there was only one esthetician available and I had already been waiting for over 30 minutes, it would have been appropriate for the esthetician toto wait for my return rather than taking another client. This experience was rude, unprofessional, and inconsiderate of my time. I am definitely disappointed and unsure of I will return.

Relaxing, friendly & very professional salon. Booked an appointment for the monthly special of a facial & spa treatment and wasn't disappointed. Valerie was knowledgeable & soft spoken which made my experience extremely relaxing. Very pleasant atmosphere & extremely clean! Greeted warmly upon my entrance and was taken back to spa room immediately. The front area has lots of products, to continue your skincare at home as well as lots of gift items and other goodies. Would definitely recommend for a full spa experience.
