Brand Park Community Center

Community event sponsored by Councilwoman 7th District, Monica Rodriguez. Fleet Week in Los Angeles as well and fir the first time Sailors and Marines came to Mission Hills. Great turnout from the local neighborhood for a concert in the park. The 1st Division Marine Corp Brass Band performed for the attendees. The park was very well maintained. We were on the grassy area east of the Community Center. Lots of trees provided shade. The bathrooms were decent. Plenty of street parking.

My wedding went GREAT! After having it, here are a few tips. 1: There is no place for the bridal party to dress or freshen up. I had a good friend bless me with a trailer to use. But you should think of how you will work that out. 2: It gets very HOT and there is little to no shade in the seating area. Warn your guests. 3: The lights that you may see hanging in some pictures is NOT included in the rental fee of the venue. If your wedding ends around 7:00 or so they are NOT necessary at this time of year. 4: The chairs that they provide aren't very attractive. I believe they are brown. If you want the white chairs that you see in some pictures you will have to rent them.5: The guest limit is 150 people. Otherwise our wedding went VERY well and we were all very happy that we used this venue. It was close to home and convenient. The price was right. The weather was nice and pictures in the courtyard and in the adjacent rose garden were gorgeous!

We had our wedding here this past Saturday, March 26, 2016 & had the absolute best time. The venue is so beautiful on its own. This was the first & only place my husband & I looked at, we booked it right away. It's very affordable & Erika was extremely helpful. She helped us with anything we needed & answered all of our questions. They provide 100 chairs & 20 tables, and allow you to hire your own caterer, which is awesome for the price. We had around 150 people, which is the maximum capacity. We paid $1200 and got our $200 deposit back! The only negative thing I would say is the security guards were not useful! The venue hires security guards for your event. But they did NOT do anything! My friends car got broken into & the security guards were standing around talking. But overall, I would say my experience at Brand Community Center was the great! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Brand Park is a beautiful Spanish Mission style venue. We chose this venue because the location was convenient, affordable and the garden is beautiful in itself. Our "garden theme" wedding was amazing. We dressed the venue by enhancing the garden by adding garden type umbrellas and outdoor garden string lights. By the entrance we had a welcoming table for our guest, which provided all the details of the wedding. Our wedding colors were blush pink, white and silver, went well with the venue. I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone that is looking to host an intimate event.

I recently visit the community center for a funeral service luncheon.I love the practicality of the space.The bathrooms were clean and stocked. The parking was near and walking distance. The place was clean and ready to be used at the time they had requested it by.

I had my Wedding in this park and it was beautiful even though it was a very hot day. Perfect place for a small celebration with your close friends and family. Because the hot weather we have to set up everyone inside and move some tables after the dinner to have room to dance. It was perfect and everyone was happy and they love the place. Good price and the fact that they give you the tables and chairs is a plus. The chairs are silver folding chairs, not as nice as white chairs but if you want to save some money, they are OK. I did a buffet dinner from Stone Fire Grill, It was delicious and they have good prices. Also for the ceremony officiant I recommend Katie from Get Simply Married she is so sweet, she did an amazing and beautiful ceremony.Thank you to all the staff they are very helpful and nice.

Here are some pics to show how amazing this place is to rent for a wedding! We even got some of our deposit back. 3 guards showed up. No problems with parking and many people used Uber, including me. So glad we chose this place!

My husband and I recently held our wedding reception here and everything was as described. There weren't any surprises like some places like to throw at you. Whatever was stated within the contract occurred. Morever, like most Brides I had so many questions and concerns prior to the event. All of which were politely & thoroughly answered by Ivonne. Ivonne was so helpful throughout the entire planning period. I'd give her 5 stars just off of kindness alone. If you're looking for a beautiful, yet budget friendly location I'd highly recommend this venue!

This venue was perfect for our outdoor garden wedding! I can't thank Yvonne and Erica and the rest of the staff for answering all our questions and replying in a timely manner. We rented the max hours and.believe me you will need to get the most out of this venue it is worth it. The bar service that the city has guests go through is affordable compared to other venues, can't beat the open bar price. Our wedding was this past weekend and we had the whole event outdoors and used the hall for the buffet, dj set up, and cake table. This place you can dress up or dress down it is just so elegant with mission style architecture. Since I never got married I did have a hard time researching vendors, so here are the ones that we used and were reasonable; food, casa Torres banquets, Jc party rentals for extra tables and nice padded white chairs. I bought a lot of things through amazon since it was a casual wedding and we had a budget ( kind of lol). Flowers we went to downtown and my sisters made our center pieces. We live close by and so do our family and friends and many didn't know this place existed, neither did I a little over a year ago when we started planning. This is definitely a nice little hidden gem of the east side of the San Fernando Valley oh and the garden this time of year is to die for! Flowers are in bloom.

I just had my wedding reception last weekend. It was a rustic theme, so the garden was perfect for it. We set up the food, bar service, and DJ inside. The park provided the tables and chairs. They also had two representatives available thru out the whole service. All of my guest loved the venue !
