BottleShock Wine & Brew

Pizza and wine on a Friday night is so perfect. We stopped in for dinner and were happy to have zepedas pizza and a bottle of wine. The purple cowboy red blend is our go to and it's cheaper to just get the bottle if you want a couple of glasses. It's easy drinking and pairs well with pizza. We sat inside because it was little windy outside but their outside patio is typically really nice to enjoy. Service is friendly and attentive even though there was only one person working.

Looking for a cozy place to have a glass of wine (or bottle, I don't judge. LOL) then you should pop over to BottleShock. They have a small indoor seating area or a gorgeous outside patio with plenty of room. Their staff was delightful and knowledgeable. The hummus plate was my favorite and I enjoyed mixing and matching their flights. Go give yourself a relaxing time at BottleShock, and take me with you!! LOL

Great ambiance, great service this place is very cute went for a work event. My only complaint is we called atleast 5xs to get some more details and no answer! When we showed up they said the out said patio was already booked which sucked because that was the main reason we went! But we stayed. Inside is small but very cute

Went in to grab a beer after work. Ordered a cinnamon stout from Firestone brew. Was very tasty. The new owners took over in Dec and were very friendly and attentive. Can't wait to try the different selections of beers, and maybe a wine next time. We also ordered the spinach dip and the flat bread pizza. They were also great.

This venue has small storefront most of it is outdoors which can be challenging to bear in the summertime Bakersfield heat! Not much shade, feels like you're in someone's big backyard. There are a few misters but no fans and seating is limited especially if there's a semi-private event going on.

I'm always late to the party! Just visited for the first time a few weeks ago. This place is a dream! It's pretty with soft colors and a little girly. Good music playing, I love the atmosphere! Perfect sangrias! The girls that own it are delightful! I haven't visited the outdoor area but once the weather cools I surely will! Can't wait to go back! Lovely lovely spot! Cheers to Bottlesho

I'm upset I never heard of this place sooner. Would have never thought Bakersfield would have one of these. Definitely needed to elevate the city. Nate and Shelby are the nicest people. Just their energy is enough to make us return. We spent most of our time just talking to them and having fun. We practically tried half their menu. Great wine selection! It's not all wine either. They even have margarita slushees! Make sure you take in the outside patio and play some cornhole. My party and I will 100% come back. I imagine this would be a fantastic place to go to go wind down after a date.

Had a great experience vibing and enjoying live music while sipping on my wine margarita. My friend and I came in to support our friend that was playing and we sat outside in the seating area. Considering that it was summer time, it still felt very nice being outdoors as they have these mists all over the outdoor area to keep you cool. The wine margarita was honestly fantastic and it was my first time trying one of these. I do wish they had more appetizer or food options available to pair with our drinks. So far so good

Today Ruby and I met the most amazing mother/daughter team! Shelby and her mother Theresa opened Bottle Shock on 19th St in downtown Bakersfield two years ago. They have tons of events throughout the week, like paint night, live music, and even a comedy night! Their courtyard is dog friendly. Perfect spot for business meetings, to unwind with hubby or girlfriends after work, or for their monthly Sunday brunch! They have a wide selection of wines and ales, charcuterie boxes, panini sandwiches and other munchies and a great laid back atmosphere. They were so kind to donate a beautiful gift basket worth $125.00 towards our Dress For The Stars Gala and it will be available for our auction! Their ask for the community is to get the word out that they are there and stop by to enjoy a glass of ale or wine along with great conversation! Stop on by and support our local businesses!!
