I always enjoy hearing about new businesses in Tehachapi, and although Blooms has been open for a year, it's still exciting to discover. I had a great conversation with Laura, the owner, who shared insights about her unique business. Blooms isn't housed in a traditional brick-and-mortar store, so the best way to reach Laura is through her beautifully designed website, Instagram, or Facebook. She's available Monday through Friday from 10 AM to 5 PM. If you need to get in touch on a weekend, you can leave a message, and she'll respond if she's available.What sets Blooms apart is Laura's commitment to fresh, high-quality flowers. She makes weekly trips to the LA flower mart, ensuring that her flowers are always fresh and beautiful--no leftover blooms here. If you have a specific flower in mind, she can even pick it up during her trips. Laura also supports local growers, and the sunflowers in my arrangement were sourced locally.Another thing I love about Blooms is the personalized service. You can tell Laura your budget, and she'll create a custom arrangement just for you. Although she operates out of Golden Hills without a physical storefront, she's open to discussing your ideas and creating something special. There's a delivery fee based on mileage, but you can avoid this by arranging to meet her at Meadowbrook Park.Blooms doesn't cater to weddings but does provide flowers for funerals. I appreciate that each arrangement is unique, not mass-produced by a wire service, which makes them even more special.
