Black Olives Mediterranean Cafe

This is the best lunch I have had in a long time. We almost missed the entrance because it is sandwiched between chipotle and Vos Pupusas. Once you're inside the Armenian and Mediterranean vibe sets in. You know it for real because the cooks listen to Armenian music in the kitchen while they make your healthy and delicious meal. We ordered vegetarian plate, Georgian cheese bread, and gyro bowl. The Georgian bread was off the hook yummy and baked to order. The vegetarian plate had a good variety of flavors including dolmas with a slight kick, tabouli salad, tender falafels with tahini sauce, babaganush, and hummus! What surprised me was the rice! The rice was also so delicious and went well with everything. The gyro bowl was a great dish for one person and you will still have some leftovers. It came with protein, hummus and cucumber salad and a side of tzatziki. The suave servers make you feel right at home no matter how you're dressed. I can't wait to come back to try more items from the truly exciting menu at Black Olives.

I recently moved back to the AV from Long Beach, and one thing I knew I was going to miss was good Mediterranean food. I haven't lived in the AV in years, but I didn't remember there being too many good options around here. So, I was pleasantly surprised when I stumbled onto this place. Best hummus around IMO. So far I've had the chicken shawarma bowl and beef Lula. Both were really good. Their hummus is really good too.

Great food; love the combo for two+. Friendly staff. Everything is delicious. Becoming regulars here.

The food is flavorful with that nice hit of spice from the roasted jalapeños and cool hints down with that crisp salad, smooth it over with some creamy hummus. The pita is always plentiful and a parcel to pinch everything together in one bite. We've catered through black olives for several family gatherings and it has consistently been a wonderful experience. Great service, friendly and hospitable. The party trays are perfect and well packaged for transport. No spillage and boxed with a lid. Order in advance for larger party trays. Pricing is very reasonable for everything you get. It has become a favorite!

One of my favorite places in Palmdale. The food is excellent with very many vegetarian options which is rare being in Palmdale. After going there for a few times, I've decided to use them to cater a work event and it was exceptional. The food, the way it was packaged, and the presentation and additionally the deserts for the holiday event were exceptional. I would totally recommend this place.

Family and friend went here for dinner after a 3 day fast was not disappointed, the potatoes and feta were so good and so were the kabobs! The only down fall is the seating, very small and if you are seating by the door bring a jacket and microwave to keep your food hot. We will most likely order take out next time.

I really wanted to like this place and the food presentation was great.Food tasted okay but I ended up getting sick after as well as my partner, she had the chicken shawarma and I had the beef shawarma. Service was great and the ambiance was chill.

I have been going here since 2019 when I moved up to the AV from Woodland Hills with my family . They are the best Mediterranean restaurant out here

We are from out of town and our daughter recommended this place. It's small but cozy. We placed our order and when it was served it looked better than the pictures. I had the Gyro plate that comes with rice, cabbage salad and hummus. The gyro meat was nice and warm and the sides tasted really good. Didn't like the roasted tomato but the jalapeño chile was good. Pita bread was a bit hard not soft or warm. Maybe work on the attention to detail when customers have empty drinks but other than that nice little place.

We accidentally saw this place, we luv the food the chicken & beef kabob & Lule we're tasty, soft & tender. The food was delicious we will definitely come back. Anita our server gave us an excellent service.
