Nice craft brew house and restaurant in the heart of Taft. A throwback with modern conveniences. My wife and I stopped in after a morning of antique shopping and we noticed how cozy and clean it was. Great bar to the right that reminds you of an old western saloon. A few tv's playing today's news. A gun & ammo shop towards the back! God bless America. So many choices I wanted to try but we settled on a cheeseburger and orange chicken. The meat for the burger was a good choice meat. Onion rings I never tried because my wife devoured them so yes they were very good. The show stopper? The orange chicken was PHENOMENAL OUTSTANDING TREMENDOUS. Every bite was perfect. No chewy chunks or bitter tasting orange sauce. Crunch after crunch and a perfectly blended orange sauce. We sampled an egg roll too and it along with the homemade sauce was perfect. I do not just give away five stars but for this effort it is worthy. Also on the menu are Thai, steaks, chicken, stews, soups and pot roasts. We will definitely be back to sample those.

Cute little place. Ordered a pulled pork sandwich and got some type of brisket sandwich. Ranch tastes store bought fries had no seasoning

Every time I am on the motorcycle and nearby, this is my go to. Cappuccino, bite to eat, bottle of beer for later and some good conversation. Guys this is one stop shopping at its best. Coffee, food, cigars, beer, guns and ammo. Michael is a rider, a veteran and a nice human.

Ribeye salad is something to try before you die. That thing is amazing. 100% will be getting again when I'm in Taft.

Appropriately named beers. Smoked tri tip brings Santa Maria to Taft. Friendly service and fun atmosphere. This is a must stop for a downtown that has a niche scene.

Very happily surprised to find such a jewel of the lunch stop as we pulled into Taft on our back road tour to arroyo grande to say good bye to Our dear gal pal Debby A. Great pastrami and sis on sour dough and Sherryl's chicken salad. Delicious snd we had curbside booth to watch their Veterans day parade. It was 5 minutes long so much different than porterville either 10 marching bands 3 hours long. .

We walked in at 7pm because the lights were on-the two gentlemen inside said they were closed. When they saw our sad hungry faces they said they would make us steaks-we started with wine and sodas, then were served giant, delicious ribeyes with perfectly cooked onion rings, fries and loaded potatoes. Everything was delicious and the owner and his friend were so hospitable. They also cooked for a man who wandered in looking for a beer and dinner. If we ever find ourselves in Taft again, we will definitely be back!

I eat at Black Gold every other weekend! While I come to Taft to see my boyfriend I always insist that we go to Black Gold because it is the most unique and amazing brewery in Southern California! I love the fact that they have gun sales there. (I can't believe Deborah made such negative statements in her review yesterday. Doesn't she believe in the constitution?) Regardless, I am a 3rd gen LA native and Black Gold can give any LA brewery a run for its money. I'll have another 25 Hill please!

Good choice of craft beer but annoying to have Fox News blaring. Coupled with the ammo sales, that might be a horrific combination just asking for trouble. Please just play music so we can chill and all get along. We sat on the patio. Server was nice
