Ferry Farms, LLC fruit stand was selling fresh oranges & fresh, unpasteurized orange juice at Bay Fair Farmers Market. for whatever reasons, there wasn't a lot of shoppers at the market.drink: Orange Juice (Qt, $7) no sugar nor perservatives added.-tasted tart, with real orange juice flavor. not sugary.-probably not so healthy, curious what unpasteurized orange juice liked.

This is literally the best orange juice I've ever had! If you are ever at any farmer's market in the Bay Area, they will most likely have a booth there. I discovered them at the CSM San Mateo's farmers market back in October, and I happened to just grab a pint. I seriously wish I bought more! I don't care for OJ too much since my stomach can't handle it, but this stuff is the real deal and you can tell a difference.

Oh my gosh. This stuff is like crack. Except it's orange juice. Pure, fresh-squeezed and unpasteurized orange juice. No sugar added, nor needed. The wife and I came across Ferry Farms' orange juice at the Santa Clara Farmers Market. After one sample, we were hooked. The juice was so sweet and not sour at all, and was better than any store-bought juice. Being unpasteurized, it doesn't have as long of a shelf life, but that wasn't a problem for us; we bought a quart and it didn't even make it home.Plus, pasteurizing juice has less to do with killing germs and more to do with enabling companies to store juice for long periods of time, up to a year, in oxygen-less tanks where the flavor gets killed, only for the flavor to be added back later via "flavor packs" which they conveniently don't need to mention. So if your immune system is healthy, you can probably ditch the pasteurized juice and stick with what nature intended. Thank you Bill Ferry; keep making the real stuff, and you bet we'll be back for more!

Incredibly tasty orange juice available at Northern California farmer's markets, modestly priced for what it is (2 half gallons for $15). The staff is friendly and chatty, and eager to offer samples. How good is it? Good enough to find parking near Fort Mason just to pick up a bottle. So good I run all the way there, four miles, looking forward to my post-run pint of OJ.Have you ever compared cheap orange juice to the fresh squeezed stuff from a grocery store? This juice is that much of a step above the grocery store. It's not just sweet, and lacking any bitterness. It's a very rich kind of sweet, not sugary, and overall a really balanced, complex but subtle taste. It's addictive.I discovered it about a year ago, and it has been consistently good, not a fluke. Of course it's non-pasteurized, and cold pressed. But so is other OJ that isn't as good. At first I thought it's because they don't squeeze in the bitter pulp. Or it's fresher. So I asked them. It turns out, they say, it's mostly the soil on their farm, it just grows good oranges. They say that nearby farms in their neighborhood have different soil, and their oranges just aren't as tasty.

We had been buying Bill Ferry Ranches' orange juice fairly often at the San Mateo Farmer's Market because it was so incredible. On our last trip, we realized...why buy just a little half-gallon when we can buy a 10lb bag?Ahhhhhhh! What a brilliant and refreshing idea! These oranges are just incredibly, incredibly sweet. Having grown up in Florida, I thought I had tasted the best. Nope. Not even close. These are the real deal. And we had the 10lb bag for more than a week and not a single one went bad.Amazing oranges and an extremely cute guy that runs the booth at the Farmer's Market. Hey, I gotta get the sweetness wherever I can find it! :)

Omg! They have these tangerines (W. Murcotts) that are amazing! I have been shopping with these guys for a few years now and they always have the best citrus fruits. Try the Cara Caras! They are to die for. The market next to Oakridge Mall (Santa Teresa and Blossom Hill light rail station) is where I can find them in San Jose, but they have markets all over the Bay Area. The best fresh squeezed juices in the world. I've been to the farmer's markets all around around the Bay Area, and Bill Ferry Ranches seem to have the same prices at all of their markets unlike some of the other booths which tend to change depending on the clientele. Thank you Bill Ferry Ranches for keeping us scurvy free!

I found Ferry Farms at the Bayfair Farmers Market in San Leandro. All I can say is OMG, this juice is the absolute best. I'm lucky to have a Lucky's market where I can get fresh squeezed juice, but it certainly is nothing close to Ferry Farms OJ. I can hardly wait for Saturday morning to buy another 12 gallon.
