Ben Paca Mexican Grill

On my way back from a trip, driving through Bakersfield, I found Ben Paca Mexican Grill after a quick internet search for places to eat right off the highway. What a fantastic find! I ordered three tacos a la carte: shrimp, chicken, and asada steak. Each was prepared fresh and to order. Although the asada steak was premade, it was still incredibly fresh and packed with flavor.The quality of the food was excellent, and the service was both quick and friendly, enhancing my dining experience. Ben Paca Mexican Grill is a perfect spot for anyone looking for fresh, tasty Mexican cuisine at reasonable prices. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area!

I have been a customer here since 2021. My classroom aide (an East side resident) suggested this restaurant. I would describe the ambiance as a no-frills Chipotle. The staff is very nice. I have formed a bond with Maria who gives me a radiant smile when she sees me. I always order three vegetables tacos to go and two California burritos (also known as San Diego-style burritos) for my spouse and teen. The food is fresh and delicious. The staff does not skimp on the portion sizes. There are sufficient tables and chairs and everything looks tidy. The location is easy to bypass (in or behind a gas station and car wash) and very unassuming. But to me, a foodie who digs dives and hole-in-the-walls for the authentic connection, this place is oro.

The chile verde nachos were amazing! Definitely has a kick but not too spicy. Service was fast and friendly. Clean place to eat. Would definitely be back

Conveniently located next to a gas station. Food is fresh and portions are excellent. Restaurant is small, but clean. Quick service and lots of menu options. There are daily specials. Food is excellent tasting and the workers are very friendly. My second time visiting but I had ate my food before taking a pic. Loved the carne asada nachos.

My first going here it was bomb 2nd time I came here it was still smacking waited a couple of years before I had the chance to go again. I always order a burrito de cabeza.3rd time I had the chance to go last week my burrito was served cold and didn't or hardly had any meat in it :( I didn't have enough time to go back to ask them if they can re warm due to I was in my lunch break. I probably will not try it out again was kind of pricey 22$ for a jaimaca drink and the burrito.i diddnt ask for extra guacamole but i got charged for it? Just disappointed

I've been here a few times and the food has always been good and the service is great too. The staff are very friendly but the prices are a bit high. Add-ons quickly add up such as guacamole. They do have daily specials.

Was in the area and decided to pop in for a breakfast burrito. The service was quick and friendly. I ordered an Al Pastor burrito with refried beans, rice, pick de gallo, red salsa, cilantro and onions, and a bit of sour cream for my son. And I ordered a tripas and refried bean burrito for myself. Took it home and it was pleasantly delicious! The prices are very affordable, more so than other taco shops around. The place was clean and tidy. Definitely will go back! Enjoy!

I met up with some family here at Ben Paca, a place I had never even heard of, but most times those are some of the BEST hidden gems!First impression: Hmm, it's clean. Other than that it's a pretty basic restaurant. I like the name and found it funny. There were 2 people in line and they were speaking Spanish to the 2 guys behind the counter. I was nervous trying to pick my brain to remember the 3 years of elective Spanish I "learned" in high school so that I could order food. My mother in law was in front of me in line and she was the only one in our party that had been here before. She, in English (thank God cause I was sweating) ordered a burrito bowl with pollo (chicken) and asada. The setup is similar to Chipotle or Subway, you point at what fixings you'd like as you go down the line. I decided to stick with what she said was good and chose the same 2 meats. I also added pot beans, rice, onions, cilantro, guac, jalapeños, tomatoes, cheese, roasted corn, fajita style onions, and a mild salsa and a large horchata. I have to mention I wasn't that hungry when we got there so once I started eating I found myself picking at the bowl. It was good, but I felt like it was missing something. When I brought home the leftovers, I warmed it up and threw it inside a tortilla and added some sour cream. That's what it needed! I will definitely give this place another try, as it deserves my usual appetite.

First time trying this place. Customer service was great. The servers were very helpful and patient as I chose what to get. I like that the food is prepared fresh right in front of you and you get to pick your own toppings. Reminded me of a chipotle kinda vibe. I ordered a chili verde burrito and a chicken burrito. Both were very delicious especially the chili verde was on point. Located near the 58 freeway and a good spot to try if your passing through

Fast and huge burritos! Chile Verde is my fav! Must try the spicy salsa! Ive driven across town for this place just has a very small town vibe to it. The employees always super cool too and take time to give you great service!
